Im not at all surprised that this Post Office has bad reviews. What I thought would be a quick visit was verrry long. I already had a shipping label, just needed a receipt. There was 3 people in front of me. The lady working there was socializing with the first person for a good 10 minutes talking about random things in life, etc. This is NOT the place to socialize. The next person was about 8 minutes... same thing.... talking about random stuff in life. Chatting about a specialty stamp that the lady MUST have and asking if the employee can order more. Then the third person you could tell was trying to get out of there and the employee kept trying to socialize with him but he said what he needed and was trying to get out of there. She started asking me random stuff and I said "I just need a receipt" in a stern voice so she knew I wasn't here to socialize. I ignored her questions. I understand that you might have a boring job and the people that come in are your way of socializing but save that for if you go to a store or something. Sometimes people are there for a quick trip, they are on lunch break, not interested in socializing etc. we shouldn't have to wait a half hour or more for something basic. They should probably have a 2nd person if they want people to tell their whole life story to customers. read more

I just got into a discussion with a desk agent in regard to a media mail parcel I was mailing. Inside the parcel (although irrelevant) was several Paper Doll Books I was mailing. As per postal website books are co soldered media mail. However this postal agent told me that they were not and if inspected I might have to pay priority rate. So I left this office where they told me the same thing at the main branch.. and if inspected the parcel that would only be media mail items would be converted to priority mail and I would pay $13 charge. Listen folks. I get that they have a hard and thankless job. But, I also get that it's a for profit private business. Which last I checked still was in the red and losing money. This is among many of the ways you can continue to lose money. If you don't want my shipping business UPS and FedEx will gladly take it. read more

I went to the post office at 5727 Clinton Hwy Knoxville, TN 37912 on Thursday, July 21, 2022 to mail an expensive broken iPhone to get it shipped to a repair shop from Knoxville Tennessee to a cellphone repair shop to Westminster California. I went to the post office about 12 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022 and I paid for my shipment at 12:18 PM in Knoxville Tennessee that day but USPS is now in possession of my expensive electronics item when the receipt said expected to delivery on Monday, July 25, 2022. By 9:00 PM they said it's in transit arriving late and going to another destination but was never left Knoxville Tennessee and go to Westminster California and I contract a representative by calling 800-275-8777 phone number and they told me just wait just wait be patient and don't worry about it and calm down even though I told them to open a case and investigation but it said it's being resolved but it was never been resolved. If there's resolve my package is west been deliver along time ago and they want me to contract the Westminster California Distribution center but technically they actually have to contract the Knoxville Tennessee distribution center not the Westminster California distribution Center but the supervisor name Eric from the Westminster California distribution center post office emailed it to me it said has been resolved but it would never resolve it was resolved my package will be able to deliver a very long time ago. Is still in transit in arriving late in my package might of have been lost and damaged or even stolen by USPS somewhere in Knoxville Tennessee. But I wouldn't recommend you guys to mail or ship anything from this post office in Knoxville Tennessee located at 5727 Clinton HWY Knoxville, TN 37912 because this post office are thieves. Then I called the United States Postal Service. They were very rude to me and disrespectful about me that telling me to calm down don't worry about it even the agent told me just wait until Monday expected to delivery day but would never been deliver because on Friday, July 22, 2022 will be the first business day and the second business day would be Saturday, July 23, 2022 and the last and final 3rd business day would be on Monday, July 25, 2022 after that day my package would never been delivered in Westminster California and it was last scan on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. And that's why I want to USPS website said in transit arriving late Tell them it would be their responsibility if they have lost or stolen or damaged my packages That had an expensive broken iPhone electronics then they tell me that's not how it works just now how it works and I said that's how it works because once a customer bring some thing to get shit for mail from the post office the post office should be responsible for all the package inside of the post office and their distribution center. And do not mail anything or ship anything at this post office. So I have to call USPS a lot of time because of this. So this will be my last time going to the post office until further notice. If you really worry about your package make sure to mail in Apple AirTag in it to track your package yourself. read more

Went on 6/19/23 - Monday at 3:30 to get stamps. There were no customer service reps inside - closed. And no stamp machines. As stated previously, signs say open M-F, 9-5. Apparently not. read more

THIS REVIEW APPLIES TO THE FOUNTAIN CITY USPO (ZIP CODE 37918). On occasion, I have called the post office to the phone ringing off the hook with NO ONE ANSWERING during business hours. On one occasion, I called the Halls Post Office and they tried calling over there with the same results. Their answer, "Oh, they do that sometim"es." Hmmm. Equally unsettling is my neighbor got stamps and requested postcards, so she enclosed the stamps and Glen wrote back and said they can't exchange it. Say what...? Gee, there MUST be a reason that the government saved their behinds the one time and WHY no one wants to do business with the post offices anymore. I could go on about NOT ever going to the post office and buy their money orders as it took me 3 months of my constant calling to finally get my money back since they lost and couldn't find a record of my buying the money order. Just like a lot of businesses here, the employees feel they've done their job if they show up to work. Not that they have to be joyous to the general public, but how about this...be polite to the customers??? read more

Bad shipping center. This center never scans your packages when they're dropped off. The items I sent were hand delivered and they're too lazy to scan them. I've lost items that were dropped off at this place too. I would not recommend anyone dropping off packages here. The blue boxes away from this facility are safer and surprisingly much faster. read more

Went here for the first time after I've lived here for two years and was blown away by the service! This post office is 15min further round trip than the fountain city branch to me is so I've never gone here before. I usually dread post office runs because of the lines and annoyed looks I get when clunking around with a stroller and usually impatient baby. So going in I was expecting the same but got the opposite! It's bigger than the Fountain city branch, there wasn't a single person in line (could've been time of month/day but still), and I was immediately greeted by the two friendliest desk attendants! They helped relieve my anxiety of needing 3 boxes weighed and filled out by making things as easy for me as possible, and even offered my toddler stickers or funny faces to make my visit 'grumpy baby' free! Seems like small gestures, but to a mom of two under two (pushing toddler in stroller and wearing 4 month old) their kindness, patience, and understanding went above and beyond for me. Will definitely be running all my mail errands at this location from now on- Wish I would've gone here sooner! read more
