Post office lost my package so when I went there to ask about it, the woman behind the desk said "hm I understand let me call the guy that delivered your route today" and picked up her phone that had a wallet encased over it and immediately faked a phone call with him with the case closed, screen off, and faked an entire phone call with him just to say "oh he doesn't seem to have it, leave us your phone number and name and we will get back to you." The exterior of the building is run down, almost ugly, but the interior is up to date. The lobby is open 24 hours, and the automatic postage machine is excellent. In addition to weighing stuff, it measures dimensions -- and asks whether the weight looks right. The user interface is mostly good, with minor exceptions: - putting the most expensive mailing options first, ahead of more frequently chosen options, and - asking a few questions that seem to obvious (such as the stuff about mailing explosives). The people are just about always well trained, efficient, and polite. Sometimes they're even friendly. Staffing is usually adequate; lines are generally only long at peak hours or when multiple slow customers tie up more than one counter agent at a time. On my most recent visit, I went for information about passports. I didn't have to wait; they had a poster with all I needed to know on a poster in the lobby. I signed up for an appointment on my phone!

I stopped by for a couple of Amazon returns, and when I arrived, the staff was briefly on a bathroom break. They had a sign posted saying they would be right back, which I appreciated for the clear communication. Astrid, the employee who helped me, was extremely nice and processed my returns quickly and efficiently. The store also has a variety of items and supplies available for purchase.
