We live in Lynnwood but will drive here for any of our mail needs. The staff has always been so kind and courteous, especially around the holidays when we have many packages to ship. They are doing their best to work with the Covid guidelines and that is so appreciated, especially in a smaller space where interaction is necessary. Everyone still keeps a smile on their face (and yes, it's evident even with a mask in) and a positive attitude. The lobby always have a great supply of flat rate boxes and all the necessary forms. The self service kiosk is super helpful. We are super appreciative of everyone at this post office!! read more

Agree with the other reviews that say they deserve 0 stars. Mailman sent my package back as "addressee unknown". Confronted him about it and he's like well I didn't know you lived here. I told him it was addressed to be at this address. Why would you send it back? Went to this post office and they had me speak to the supervisor who was patronizing telling me, "You don't know how it works here. You have to register your address." I said just tell me how to get my package back. She's like you can't. We already sent it back, but you can pay to get it back. I said I'm not paying for something that's your mistake. She said it's not our fault you didn't register. I have had more than half a dozen addresses and have never had to "register" with the local post office. No apology was ever made. Had to go there four times to get a refund for a non-delivered certified mail piece. The building needs to be replaced, the postmaster needs to be replaced, the counter staff needs to be replaced, the parking lot, mailboxes, the flag, the signage, and again the postmaster all need to be replaced. read more

The Asian lady on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. In the last 4 years we've been at the same address however in that time, I've gotten married and had a name change. In addition, we had an unexpected family death. So because the mail that came via maiden name or "to the estate of family members name" they are not delivering those mailings. They are showing up in the app/daily emails, however never make it to my mailbox from the mailman. So I completely understand and attempt to relay that info to the post office, mail man believes he's doing us a solid, thank you, however I need these documents to show up on time.. and call bc these are legal time sensitive documents I have to jump through hoops with already. I'm rudely called back from the "supervisor" who basically says "we only send it by name that's policy" I understand that, but you then should have an exception for things like estates of because you don't know everyones personal business. I'm pretty sure NOT delivering the mail is a federal crime still. Do your one job and get a better attitude when you're the supervisor- you are an awful human being. I get USPS is a federal business we can't get rid of but please hire people that are at very least, pleasant and possibly helpful. read more

Amazing customer service. I called in about an issue with a package in a parcel box at my complex. The box was jammed and I couldn't access the package. Genuinely the worst experience I've ever had in any post office. I created and bought my shipping label ahead of time for some important documents I needed shipped with added protection. Since I don't have a printer, I chose the "label broker" option which gave me a code the website said I could bring to the office to have them print the label I bought digitally. After waiting a half hour for a line of just 4 people, the clerk just looked at me confused when I gave her the code from the website. She repeatedly insisted I needed a printed label to send a package, which obviously I completely understand, but she apparently knew nothing about the "label broker" option and continuously claimed they didn't print labels. After going in a conversational circle several times with her, I asked her what I could do since I didn't have a printer and she knew nothing about the label code. She said my only option was to just buy the label again in person and call the support line later to get a refund. She handed me some paperwork and then told me to get into the back of the line again when I was done, to wait all over again. read more

What can you expect? Its the USPS, a system designed to operate in one fixed, immutable fashion with no regard given to customer need. So that said they have made a couple of remarkable leaps, the flat rate box (making it easier to figure out how much your ebay item will cost to ship); and this office sports a do-it-yourself kiosk that actually works pretty well for ordinary postal needs (like a parcel or large envelope) - used it a couple times and was outta there pretty quick. Postal workers appear to have no incentive towards quick service, nor disinclination to go on a break even when there are huge lines of customers, leaving only one worker at the counter. Thats YOUR USPS. They sell most of the items one needs to pack and ship stuff here. Avoid lunchtime and anytime after 3:30. read more

Customer Service. The 1st lady to help me is beyond rude. I had to buy tape at a post office to send my package, which is ridiculous!! I just needed a couple of pieces and had to pay 3.99. I've never sent something out the specific way the company asked, and had questions. The 1st lady was no help at all, and so very rude (to every customer she had). However, thankfully she left and I had another lady help me (younger). She was extremely helpful, kind, and talkative. Can we all admit now that the US Post Office including the mail delivery drivers are the rudest people to deal with. This is obviously trickle down effect. You would think the company would concentrate on customer service training. I haven't been happy with them for years. I'd much rather go to UPS. And getting hold of "customer service" is almost impossible and they are just as rude. It's like everybody who works for this company hates their lives. I was expecting an important package last night. I waited for the USPS delivery and it never came. This morning I checked the tracking number and it says that my driveway or home was inaccessible. There is NO WAY this is accurate as I have an open driveway and doorway. I even left the light on for them. If the Bothell Post Office can't deliver on time, don't use bogus excuses that place blame on customers. The lack of professionalism in this situation is sad. You guys can do better. read more

I was just trying to return a package and when I got to the post office they wouldn't help me tape it. I had to BUY tape for $4!! I was there trying to return a box! I needed my money back, but I had to spend more just for the tape! They don't give a damn, they even sent an old lady in front of me through the line again because she needed to do something to her package and she had to wait all over again! I needed stamps for a rather large mailing (HOA) and didn't want to stand in line in person to buy stamps (due to COVID outbreak) if I could avoid it. The Bothell Post Office has a kiosk in the outer lobby that allowed me to purchase exact postage. I was able to choose the postage amount ($1.40) and a quantity (100). It required a debit card and it limited my purchase to 100 stamps per day. It does take awhile for the kiosk to print that many (~10 mins). Each 'stamp' is a postage barcode label that is printed individually. Today I will go back to get the remaining postage (about 60 more). Very convenient, allowed me to keep my distance from the few people who came in and out to check mailboxes or drop off mail. (I also looked into ordering stamps on USPS.com but the lead time was prohibitive - 5-7 business days before the order would ship to me! Couldn't wait that long.) read more

I had my first pleasant experience here in the 7 years I've lived in the USA! The key to success? No one else was there and so the attendant was very helpful taking her time and not rushing us with the mailing. I wish I could remember the name of the employee who helped us, but it passes me right now. Needless to say - if these establishments were better staffed they could do a better job. The people working here clearly have a passion to do their job well since when it's empty you get great service without being rushed or pushed out of the way. I know post offices are not the most pleasant places for customers or employees. And I know all that really matters is how fast you can do something and move on to the next. So the stars are for the employees that have to put up with the post masters. The employees are decent depending on the day and how busy. They are usually stalked up on boxes so that makes it easy, and parking is fairly convenient. read more

I absolutely hate going here. I've been here a couple times since its convenient as its right near by campus but after my last visit here, I'd rather drive an extra 15 minutes to go to the Mill Creek location just to avoid having my day ruined by jerks. I went in to mail out a textbook I rented. I wasn't sure which packaging to use since this is the first time I've rented a textbook and wanted to know which packaging would be less costly. The clerk (named Jeff) called me up and was unbelievably rude... and I haven't even said much! I just asked him which packaging he would suggest and his response and unnecessary eyerolling was extremely unprofessional. After I packaged my textbook, I went back to him again and the packaging needed to be more sealed. Instead of helping me, he rolled his eyes yet again and spoke to me as if I'm an uneducated toddler. If you can avoid going to this place, DO SO. It is not worth the time to be aggravated by unprofessional, unhelpful, cranky middle-aged men. And FYI Jeff (if you ever see this), you may have spoken and addressed me as if I'm an uneducated little girl but not only will I be graduating with my second degree (and I'm barely in my 20s) but I will be far more successful than a dingy little post office clerk who has a stick up his butt. read more

This post office has the absolute worst customer service out there. In my case, this sorry excuse for a business did not honor a re-delivery request that I made before the deadline of my parcel being sent back. My deadline was June 30th, I called on June 29th (and worked it through the USPS website). They called me on JULY 5TH (the day I requested redelivery) telling me that the parcel was sent back already, and that I had made my re-delivery request on JULY 3RD?! This is a lie. When I challenged the woman over the phone on the fact that I reached out before the deadline, she HANGS UP on me because she didn't like my "tone". When I called back to inquire why I wasn't getting helped and getting hung up on, the crazy woman yells at me that I'm threatening her and hangs up again. These people are incompetent liars and time-wasters of the worst kind. They shouldn't be allowed to be handling our precious goods. This is a poignant example of the USPS's downfall. The clerk was so very rude. He was an older gentleman and was balding. Anyway, so I went in there with my pre-paid package from ebay (a return) and I just asked for a receipt for proof of dropping it off. And he responds saying something about needing to pay $1.30 for it. And I was confused because I have never experienced this before and I have dropped off many packages that were pre-paid from Etsy and have always received a free receipt (other post offices though). But even if he has had to answer this question many times before he didn't need to be rude about it. This is the first time hearing this and he shoved a piece of paper in front of me that said how corporate is enforcing this policy and he said it in a rude tone. Very typical post office. Long lines with not enough staff. The crew here are very friendly, however and do a good job trying to keep the line to a minimum. I have a PO Box here and always find that the mail is accurately delivered... At least I have never received mail that was intended for another box which I imagine can be an easy problem. I also have two mail boxes at a Pony Mail location and find that I prefer to support a local business whenever possible before coming to a federal location for mail services. read more

This is my worst nightmare. This place loses half my packages. They also don't always deliver them to my door, but they will say they did. They also stopped delivering mail to my whole apt complex for a few weeks because their locking system on the box broke. They said they wouldn't deliver anymore until the complex fixed it, but it's the USPS responsibility to fix because they own the boxes. Then they tell me the apt management is awful and I shouldn't pay them my rent. What the hell is going on? My last complaint is the amount of people waiting in line at this incredibly slow and understaffed location.
