my name is Dr. Lisa Tangredi and I'm a local in Bothell. I've worked in partnership with Botha police since I moved here before the Covid pandemic. Unfortunately, I was a victim of domestic violence and through the Covid pandemic. I've gotten to know the VA Police Department very well on various levels. There was an officer that assaulted me when I was having a depressive moment in my life from domestic abuse walking outside from the park to towards Baskin-Robbins. There was a nosy neighbor with a dog that thought I was trying to vandalize cars, and I wasn't. I had a rock in my hands to throw it in a puddle. It splashed, and the water splashed on the car tire. Unfortunately the witness had his facts wrong and he couldn't see because it was dark. The next thing I know he pulls out his phone to call 911 and have the police arrest me. One male police officer, and two females approximately, threw me to the ground, handcuffed me, and started yelling at me as I was crying. The police officer was so excited about getting me upset. He said I'm taking a picture of you and he pulled out his phone and put my face in the phone to take a picture. The women were on board with this and said nothing. The next thing I know they told me I was resisting a rest, and they were concerned, even though I was telling them my side of the story. My mother was so concerned she called the police department, and the officer told her that I was resisting arrest, and I was not intoxicated. I was thrown in the back of their ambulance and four point restraints and taken into an area of holding area as I was stripped naked as they watched and then they told me not to move around because I'm under video and they do not want to see my body parts. However, when I'm feeling attacked, I move around and now they're uncomfortable with me being in four-point restraints as my clothes were being ripped off of me. I also had concerns about both the police working with CPS and heritage Christian Academy in partnership. The communication between these three different entities was a breakdown moment. I was not shocked and surprised how I was treated that night being arrested in front of Baskin-Robbins and thrown in four point restraints by three cops. I still think about it every day because it was an assault. It was abuse. It was an abusive power. I tried to report it and receive police reports, and there was no response. Police officers are above the law. I will not call the police again and I will not work in their jurisdiction because I don't trust these cops anymore. I will not work with people. I do not trust. I do not hang out now in Bothell proper so I can avoid them like the plague. I do not want trouble with the cops. I do not need their judgment and I do not appreciate them hurting me as I have bruises all over my body from that night. They left me in four point with restraint on a gurney in solitary being monitored with no food and water again. The cops, the cop left their chest held high shaking their fist. I'm a hero. I'm a hero. However, they did not spend the night in solitary naked in four point streets on a small gurney. In the military, we trained for that we trained for the opposition we trained for what it feels like to be captured. I would like to see both the police and Kirkland police work together too be in my shoes. I would like to see them assaulted by four or five cops so they can understand what it feels like to get really arrest, arrested and their local community not Justin The academy but real time. I would like to see both the police do some cross training with the big boys in Seattle proper and the real big boys in Stockton and Modesto, California. These men, these police officers in those areas know how to triage petty versus real. My understanding with Kirkland in Bothell police they're meeting ticket quotas and a rest quotas and that is just my opinion I understand they like PR opportunities as well as I observed and worked with these people and partnership as well as being a victim of abuse. I reached out to the both police department to express my concerns and there was no response so that's why I'm writing this today. I needed to get this off my chest to move forward in my healing. I hope one day that I can trust a police officer again. read more

Got a speeding ticket by mail for failing to slow down in a school zone. Despite the circumstances of it being a completely new area I never drive in, and completely missing the flashing lights, I will admit full responsibility and won't even ask for some leniency. I messed up. It's my first ticket of any kind in over 2 decades. Still, my bad and I can own that. Can the Bothell PD own the rest of this? I doubt it. See below. I tried to pay the ticket using the web link provided however it didn't work in one browser at all and wouldn't fully load in another. Turns out the system was down for over half a day and still only works in some browsers. Very inconvenient. Then, when you finally can get access you'll have to re-enter all your personal information despite the pigs already having this in their system. They have to have it already because they send you the ticket with all the info right there. What's the point in entering your citation number to autofill the rest of the info, when you just have to input it anyway? It's in their database and should autofill based solely on the ticket # and some security feature like your DOB. That's all it would take. Instead, they use an already outdated system which is unreliable. On top of this it's not completely straightforward to use either. It asks you for a "citation ID" but there is no such number ANYWHERE on the ticket. There is an "infraction ID" as well as a separate and confusing "notice ID," but nowhere does it say "citation ID" so you have to make a guess. There's a little help link to click on that is supposed to show you where the citation ID is, but the picture they give om the example doesn't match what the "notice of infraction" document looks like that you get in the mail at all. So it's not helpful either. The mix of nomenclature is also unnecessarily confusing. On the web form you're asked to enter your phone number 3 times assuming you want confirmation of payment. The whole experience is just very clunky which adds a layer of frustration to shelling out money in the first place. And finally, when you do work your way through all of this they'll sock you with an outrageous 7% fee on top of your ticket, just for using the web system. What crazy world are these pigs living in? Credit card fees are like 2.5% or less. Transaction and "processing" fees are generally less than 1%. The pigs don't even say what this 7% fee is for and just dictate that you must pay it if you want the convenience of paying the ticket online. I guess they'll scrape and skim from you at every chance they get. Just like they do for society in general. The Bothell Municipal Court and Police Department are just another bunch of typically LEO wanks, and this online ticket system is just another example of why. I can admit to wrongdoing and will say I earned the ticket. The Bothell PD should admit their ticketing and payment system sucks and is a racket. Somehow I doubt they can even do that. read more

Very friendly officers, I have had many interactions with them over the years and they have always been very polite and friendly. Even when I was briefly a suspect the officers were very professional and handled everything by the books. For context, someone replaced the plates on my truck with stolen plates and I didn't notice... until I was pulled out of my vehicle by Bothell PD. The matter was resolved very quickly and my family and I were on our way within 15 minutes. Bothell PD seems to genuinely care about making the community a better place and a safer place for everyone read more

I called 911 twice in 20 min for an altercation happening in our apartment parking lot over a reserved spot. I waited and waited and no one ever showed up. Last week someone in mill creek was stabbed over the same reason. Very thankful no one was hurt but it was very close and it disturbed all of our neighbors. They even threatened us with where we live and we no longer feel safe. If the police had showed up to do their job, I wouldn't have to worry so much if those people are coming back as one of them claimed he was on parole and not scared of going back to prison. Great bunch of people, polar difference from big cities and other states far far away.

What can I say, by far worst police organization I've seen by far. Terrible service on phone lines and helping a caller find important information that should be simple if someone competent were to try. The police officers who work here are some Of the mOst self centered, egotistical and power tripping pieces of work I've experienced out of anywhere. The people working here seem to either not care about helping anybody or the enjoy making things difficult, I can't tell. One thing I can tell is that if you are'nt a suck up or wealthy, that these police do not want you in their area. Its clear based on how they react to different people. Avoid this area, and if you cant then pray you don't have to encounter the law enforcement. You won't have a good time, especially if you know your rights and don't let them bully you. It will just make them mad. read more
