I went to this location to send out two packages to my home in Florida. But I needed this package to arrive to my home within the week or no later than the following week. I figure I can ask what was the best options when I get to the Postal Service and how does it exactly work. But The postal teller was extremely rude from the minute we asked if she had an extra pen, she gave us a look as if we were asking for money or something. She told me "You can grab a pen from the stations where the stickers are and packaging section" but obviously there were no pens in stock, I had to wait until someone was completely done with the only pen they had to fill out my sticker. when the teller had a few pens right next to her behind the counter, but I figured cause of covid she probably don't want us touching her pens.. I started to fill out my package sticker with the address. I then stand back on to the line and with my luck we end up back at the rude tellers window. she asked me to remove myself from the window and go back to the Package station And I was not able to fill out the remaining of the address front of her window I explain to her there is no one in the line behind me and I'm only doing the ZIP Code on the sticker, I am completely done with the rest she looked at me again and said you need to remove yourself from my window I said and go fill it out by the station not here. I looked at the line behind me but there was no other people online, we were the only ones here by this point I explain to her I'm only doing the ZIP Code and she said no, Go fill out over there. So I pushed over to the side and filled out the zip code and returned to her window. I told her I would like to send these two packages out to Florida and gave her the address she asked me to put the first package up on the scale which I did, the question popped up on the counter monitor if there's any fragile items in the box, I press yes because I did have a few perfumes that I was sending out to Florida. That was the only question that was asked it was not even from the teller it was from the system that automatically has to pick yes or no on the counter before sending which is OK because my items are fragile and I need them handle with care. But the teller was not giving me options it's seemed as if she was trying to brush us off quickly. when I put the second package onto the scale I wasn't even giving the option if the package had fragile items in it, which it did as well. The teller decided to send it as is with the options she chosen and printed my receipt and gave it to me. she did not give me a goodbye, have a great day, enjoy your holidays, nothing, as I walk off to view my receipt i felt a little worried because she didn't ask me if the second package was fragile and I would like for them to know that the second package has some LED lights that I have bought for my kids bedrooms and I'm afraid that if they don't handle with care than lights will be damaged as well as the other perfumes that are placed in that box as well. I also realize that both packages will be arriving in two separate dates I'm not understanding why so I decided to turn around and go back to the teller to ask her if she get a chance to put the second box with fragile she said no you did not tell me. Like wtf.... I explain to her that I need both boxes sent at the same time same service and same dates she told me I didn't give you the option cause it's gonna be expensive. I explain to her the money is not an issue, I need her to send the packages as soon as possible, with fragile, as a teller you didn't give me any options I need both packages to be the sent the same way. She went on telling me its still not a guarantee that they will get there the same day and same time but whatever if that's what you want then we will just have to refund everything give you a money order and then cash you out with your card. I didn't quite understand what she meant by all of that but at this point I was just trying to hurry up and get the packages sent out even if I had to pay the extra cost . I explain to her nothing is an issue, I just needed to be sent the way I needed it to be sent. As I reach in my purse and pull out my wallet to give her my ID for a refund or money order cash out or whatever is it that she needed it for, I guess she got a glimpse of my husband's NYPD badge because her whole attitude all of a sudden changed, she was then polite. which is completely unacceptable I was not standing here in our NYPD uniforms I was standing here as a normal human being and I expect the same respect as a person. whether I have my uniform on or not. At this point She was so polite she even gave me the same pen that she used to fill out my money order and told me thank you ma'am. I find this to be unfair to others unacceptable and unprofessional and very judgmental I will never return to this location again. read more
