The line is currently outside and around the steps. 2 cashiers rude and extremely unprofessional at that. No one on the floor to help customers with questions. People skipping the line. Extremely unorganized and the lack of communication at this place is beyond me. Supervisors are never there according to the cashiers. It's now 10:00 . I was called to the cashiers window and the Korean lady has taken about 10 minutes just to replace the receipt paper. Extremely unprofessional!! Especially with a specific teller who's name reminds you of a chocolate peanut butter cup. They'll often reject prepaid labels if the date on the label doesn't match the day you're shipping. Even if they were closed the day prior for a weekend or a holiday. They will close/lock their doors as early as 30min prior to closing to limit people coming in. (Yes, this has caused me to miss a drop off and have to purchase a new shipping label multiple times.) And more often then not the tellers will talk to you with attitude and rudeness. Only thing that keeps me coming here? The proximity to my home and the location's "extended hours".

A couple was trying to get a U.S. passport for their newborn. They couldn't speak English. Instead of receiving support, they were met with hostility. The passport clerk a woman of color herself was dismissive, rude, and outright refused to help them or ask a Spanish-speaking colleague (who was also a supervisor) to assist. Thankfully, an angel, a stranger stepped in to translate. But even then, the employee made it clear she was annoyed that someone was helping. She voiced it out loud. Where is the basic human decency? Where is the empathy? This country was built by immigrants. Its strength is in its diversity. English is not the "official" language of the United States because we are not defined by one language, but by our shared humanity. And to the USPS an agency that relies on public funding and is under constant political threat your frontline service should reflect the very people who keep you alive. That family deserved respect. That translator deserved gratitude. We all deserve better. Do better!!
