This post office is a complete joke. They need to change the people that are working their. They're to comfortable not doing anything. Drivers do not drop your packages off even though notifications say they did. They say they left a notice with tracking number nothing is left. You call to have it redelivered and nothing is done. Nobody wants to pick up the phone and when they do they're ghetto and very rude. The lines are insane they have people waiting in line to only tell them there in the wrong line. It's saddens me how much things they're allowed to get away with. Talking to management doesn't help because they all cover for each other... Example: my package was suppose to be delivered by Saturday. Guy never wants to come upstairs. Notification says notice was left but of course nothing. This package was redirects from ups to usps. So to find my package i had to call Ups for tracking number call the Gleason post office got yelled at by gentleman he can't help. Wait hours to speak to customer service have my package scheduled for redeliver on Monday and on Thursday it's now Friday and nothing. And even spoke to someone in the post office who confirmed the package will be delivered Thursday and still nothing. How is know one held accountable for this.. read more

Incompetent. 12/23/18 Missed delivery to an AMAZON LOCKER and "left a notice". Liars! The exact reason why I requested delivery to an amazon locker instead of my apartment building is they don't even attempt to deliver it! They just leave an imaginary note and the only way you find this out is by tracking! Lazy and incompetent. Now a Christmas gift will be delayed til after Christmas because of these incompetent jerks. Then I was lied to saying it was going to be redeliver on 12/24, which is a joke because tracking wasn't updated and lo and behold no package, nothing! Don't even get me started about the lack of customer service behind the counter and their joke of a "supervisor"! Tell you what, I had a P.O. Box in Rye and the difference in service was remarkable! The kind of attitude and service you receive depends what neighborhood you're in and what kind of clientele you're serving! They're federal employees so they have job security regardless, they will run slow as molasses even with a line around the room and out the door! And they had the nerve to retract Staples' contract to accept and send packages. I can't stand this post office! They always deliver mail to the wrong address! Same building number, different street that also starts with B. I'm always getting someone else's mail, even someone who lives in my building with their apartment number clearly printed! I WISH I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I was left a notice to pick up my package on a Friday. The next Monday I went to the post office, to be told after a 60 minute wait that they could not locate my package. They instructed me to leave my phone number and the supervisor would contact me. The next morning I took it upon myself to call the supervisor, and she had NO IDEA who I was or why I was calling even mentioning "I don't know why they would tell you I would call". After a 45 minute conversation, she finally tells me that my package was there all along, and that I could come and pick it up. At this point it is now Thursday, I arrive to the post office as soon as it opens, give my information only to be told that the package is not at there (once again) and that the supervisor must have sent it out for delivery.(After telling me she would hold it for pickup) This is not the first time they've lost one of my packages. The last time they lost a package it was during my wedding planning and I lost out on so much money. I cannot understand how an establishment is allowed to work this poorly. I don't know if there is mail theft going on of just generally laziness from the employees but there should be no reason why this post office has not been shut down, investigated and restructured. read more

This post office is extremely unreliable. Last year and this year. I had problems getting my mail because unbeknownst to me, my mailbox was broken! The mail carrier did not put any notice up in my building to let us know about the broken mailbox. I figured it out after having received no mail for days! The customer service at this location is nonexistent. Very unprofessional. I rarely go in there anymore. I am being generous with the one star rating. read more

I've definitely experienced WORST... As far as delivery of mail... I dont think Ive ever had much of an issue with lost packages etc... I know my dad MAY have had a slight issue, but it was resolved to my knowledge. My real criticism of this place is at the actual location. They open at around 8am, but services don't open till like 9am. There are signs that indicate this and that's fine. The workers here can be rather disinterested. 99% of them are unpleasant, and seem bothered when they have to answer questions/help. They come across as rather lazy... which is something i see in a lot of post offices unfortunately. People want their mail... and whne they dont get it it becomes frustrating, yet they dont show any sympathy with customers over this and it creates havoc. I've seen customers here NOT HELP the situation by challening them to fights... Yell in line about some nonsense, etc... Listen folks, if you want to be helped and you want your mail, stand in line, shutup, and just wait your turn. Ive seen some shity ass people who are CUSTOMERS here... they get just as many stars. WHen I come here, I know what to expect so I exhibit patience and politeness because at the end of the day acting like an asshole is not going to speed up the process and it's just going to cause me to expend energy that can be used better elsewhere. read more

Okay so first of all, they "delivered" a package and it turns out it was all delivered to a house two doors down along with all our mail. That goes for my entire neighborhood... everyone got their mail mixed up. Then, we had a package to be delivered today, which we saw the mail lady on our ring and we tried to get her attention so she can leave the package on the front porch but looks like she didn't hear. (Had headphones on ? Who knows). It was only a pot... she could've just left it on the porch. We always have mix ups like this and it's very annoying. And nobody has the time to pick up packages directly to this post office at the most inconvenient location. read more

Most USPS locations look so dull and gloomy perhaps a brighter paint makeover might help improve the experience for everyone... By the way, this branch is a five star resort compared to Hunts Point, and, worst, East New York, Brownsville, and Downtown locations in Brooklyn. No one likes to lose a package- I've lost a few. Perhaps it's my 25 years spent in retail management/customer service that has prepared me. Experience depends on the interaction so I limit mine while maintaining patience and positive demeanor. I'm not behind that counter, and I have stood in line and have seen the personalities that approach their windows. So yes, I can empathize. I want to be done with my business at the post office just as much as the employees want to call '"Next,"' and/or for their day to be over. Overall my experience here has been positive. Most recently, today. I was expecting a redelivery this past friday, but once again I did not receive my package and, as per the USPS tracking info I did not receive a "Notice Left." I called ahead and immediately was placed on hold by an employee that sounded rather rushed. Soon after, the very helpful and resourceful Blake resolved my inquiry. She assured me '"it wasn't necessary for me to write down the package tracking number because the package will be waiting at Window 1. Just show your ID and tell them you have a package there waiting."' And just as Blake stated my package was there! They have the nerve to say notice left when I have 24 hours surveillance on the property. You did not leave no notice. By far the worst post office in the world. I called USPS customer service and they told me two of my packages were lost and the other two were at the post office. I went to the post office and waited in the line for 2 hours. When I gave the woman the two tracking numbers she states "your packages are not here". I informed her that the representative told me over the phone that both packages were sitting in the back. After telling her that she got extremely rude with me and tried being sarcastic. Very unprofessional and I would recommend people to upgrade their shipping method to ups or FedEx because there's always an issue with USPS. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

This place needs proper supervision. It's obvious the employees don't give a damn about customer service. Went to pick up a package because there was no safe location according to my app. No bell rang, no slip. According to my camera's, no one ever came. Went to the P. O. 2 days later and provided a tracking # to the clerk. She explained the computers are down. Meanwhile a customer 2 window's down was able to get his package. 2 days later I get a 2nd notice on the package. Note, I never received a 1st notice. So I finally go back again with the 2nd notice and the clerk questioned the 2nd notice. I explained I never got a 1st notice because no one ever showed up to either deliver the package or a slip and have camera image's to prove it. She finally got my package but it took me a week to receive it because a deliverer didn't want to deliver it and lied about being there and a clerk neglected to check because the computer was down even though I provided a tracking number. Proper supervision is greatly needed especially with drivers. read more

Brief summary of why I give this post office a star and if it was up to me to not give it not even half star I would but it is what it is... first off today is February 5th 2018 and I just walked out of post office yet again with a lost package complaint..This post office is the worst post office in the Bronx. I've ordered countless number of items from various vendors and the shipment is carried on by the "USPS" and guess what? Horrible Service. At times I've been home all day, my chair in my living room is less than 12 feet from the front door and window and yet I'll check the tracking info late in the day only to read a "tried to deliver" message. They say they stopped by to pick up or deliver when they haven't. When you call you're greeted by workers who have no customer service skills and are just rude. That's if they ever pick up the phone. This place needs to be investigated. Shutting it down should be an option. read more

This has to be the worst post office in the city. They constantly claim that attempts are made to deliver packages when clearly they are not I have security cameras on my property, and I work from home it's literally impossible for NO one to be home. I live in a 3 family home with more than 15 people there is ALWAYS someone here. I've made attempts to reason, I've even made corporate complaints, I've tried my damnedest to make this a simpler process but at every turn they complicate and aggravate (not just me but my neighbors as well) on several occasions they have left my packages across the street (to neighbors who I do not know) I've put up signs requesting packages be left on my gated porch, I just can't with this place any more. Package was meant to arrive by yesterday, Sunday. Had plans for the day, but needed to wait for the packages first. As time went by, I started cancelling plans hoping the package would arrive within the next hour. By the evening I checked tracking and they said they attempted to try my door, which is total bull if they never marked themselves "out for delivery" after "arrived at the hub" in the first place! Now it's Monday, and I was told my package never came when the site said they would try to do next day. Packages are approximately 75 lbs in total. How long does it really take to deliver a package from 10463 in the bronx to 10472 in the bronx? What could possibly make the package delayed so much? The package has been on its way for 6 days, delayed for 3 days and out for delivery for 2days like come on, this post office needs to get out together. And also a second package was delivered to parcel locker but there is no parcel locker key in my mailbox; I guess it's across the street again which means I won't be getting it because if that lady can fit what I ordered it doesn't make its way to my hands. BTW you guys drop it in the next building quite often so just imagine how much free stuff she has that I sometimes get redelivered at no cost and sometimes they want me to pay again (which is not happening). This post office is worthless can't seem to deliver things properly. My building 1569 the one across the street 1591 those 2 numbers do look the same.
