Apparently Management has changed at this location, and it has gotten WORSE. The lines are long yet they choose to help certain people (even if they just walk in). This is by far the most horrible post office ever. I arrived at the post office at 9:00am Tuesday morning. Adding an hour to the meter so I don't get a ticket. The line is currently outside and around the steps. 2 cashiers rude and extremely unprofessional at that. No one on the floor to help customers with questions. People skipping the line. Extremely unorganized and the lack of communication at this place is beyond me. Supervisors are never there according to the cashiers. It's now 10:00 . I was called to the cashiers window and the Korean lady has taken about 10 minutes just to replace the receipt paper. Extremely unprofessional!! Takes another 15 minutes to take my package and do her job. 311 will be called and hopefully they can get an inspector to check the unprofessionalism, unorganized and lack of communication at this post office. Back to being the slowest post office in the area. By a far margin. Continues to understaff at key times of the day. What looks like a supervisor is constantly talking w clerk about non-work orient issues. While I'm sure she's popular she slows the already sloth-like pace. This office stays open longer than other post offices in the Bx. Their customer service reps for the most part are more pleasant than in most other locations. I also like that this post office is close to a lot of other businesses and stores. It's right around the corner of Macy's. read more

This post office has "lost" many of my packages though out the years. They marked my items "delivered" to my mail box, but they were never put in my mail box. Also don't expect any refund even if you have insurance, once it's marked as delivered your claim WILL BE DENIED!!! read more

Im giving a 1 because i cant give a zero THEY'RE SUPER NASTY HERE OUT OF LIKE 7-8 workers in a whole year of living this area and shipping almost every day I've dealt with maybe two kind workers here . Asian lady is rude ,always giving a hard time over package weight. Younger women there are always blabbering away and or too distracted or with an attitude to move at a speedy pace . Theres always a huge line all the way out the door unless you catch the magical hours . I love the older African American lady with the glasses (shes a sweetheart does ,her job fast and always respectful . Other than that The male staff today told me it "was not his job to give me the information i needed or even an envelope sleeve,after the asian lady sent me to him to be attended because she "did not want to service me " due to me telling her I weighed my package prior to even going there . Gender Pronouns here..forget about it ... It is the end of the weekend and it was 4:40 pm (they close at six ) but this is my 5th incident at this location 3 times with the asian lady (once even charged me almost 30$ for a package that was already paid for because it went over by 4 ounces ..WAIT IT GETS WORSE 2 of those times the packages got lost in transit and it messed up my mercari sales ) one of the packages showed up 3 weeks later and it was literally after the situations with the workers ) i always greet everyone kindly and with respect so I'm highly disgusted and disappointed about being told it was not their job to give me shipping sleeves /envelopes and putting the "window closed sign on the window while i was speaking as if I'm invisible ) they should be ashamed.Reasons why ethnic people are usually stereotyped, because it takes one rotten apple to spoil it for a bunch with their laziness, lack of kindness,and just negativity. They are just plain rude. Customer service is zero. You can't ask a question without a rude response. Complaining to the supervisor does no good, she's just as nasty. This post office is terrible! The postman do not have the courtesy to leave you a slip telling you a package is at the post office at all. This is not the first time it happened but numerous times. I have my poor parents waiting at the apartment for the bell to ring, and NOTHING! If I didn't go online to track my packing through the store I made the purchase with, I wouldn't even know the package has already arrived at the post office. This locations employees steal packages. I have proof! Two weeks ago I had a packaged marked as delivered at 8:01am left at the front door it says. I check the door within 10 mins (it was also a rainy day and it was a huge shoebox) NO PACKAGE! I check my cam dvr, there was no truck or delivery person in sight at 8am! I called asked for supervisor who pretended to take my info never even got back to me... I went online and filed a package trace/ claim no luck at all.. even eBay refused to refund me so I had call my card company directly. This place is horrible and hopeless in its system. First, they did not deliver my package which was ok . I scheduled a re delivery. 6 days later no update online nor no redeliver of my package so I called the post office gave them my tracking number and the rep confirmed that my package was at the post office. I drive 20 mins in the pouring rain, pay the machine for parking, give them my tracking # and surprise surprise......NO PACKAGE WAS LOCATED. Where the hell is my package??? This is the worst post office I've ever lived near. They consistently lose packages and delivery is so bad they are open exclusively on Sunday's for a brief period of time just so you can pick up the packages they are too lazy to deliver. I signed up for delivery alerts just to see when they were supposedly trying to deliver. I've actually been outside waiting for them and would get a text saying package undeliverable. Slip left. No slip, no one ever came. Guess someone just decided I should walk to the post office myself at almost 9 months pregnant to drag my packages home. Oh and since they don't leave I missed you slips because they never even attempted to deliver it in the first place, the post office has a pad and paper for you to write down your own tracking number and address. Of course you'll need to stand in line at least 20 minutes because everyone in Line has the exact same story. Save yourself the headache and use fedex and UPS. I remember when a Post Office employed respectable employee's who loved their Jobs and Provided QUALITY Customer Service to it's Patrons. Most of the Clerks employed in this Location are NOT Professional and friendly....RUDE is what describes their overall demeaner. The carriers are LAZY and ALWAYS late even when it's not a busy season. When packages are tracked online they show they have been DELIVERED and left with a person at the location when in reality the DELIVERY has not been EXECUTED. This practice is very scary and leaves the customer Vulnerable to LOSING THEIR PROPERTY to a FRUADULENT practice that the carrier Executed! Drivers/Carriers do not follow up on Re-delivery the following day as so stated on the USPS website. Why doesn't anyone take RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR WORK ANYMORE? Why is this Post Office Managed So Poorly and by Who? Today I waited for my Package that I tracked online and saw it there was an Attempt to Deliver it on SAT.....Website states a redelivery attempt will be exectuted on the Next Work Day, today is a work day and NO ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE!!! This is what happens when Federal/Government Hires Garbage.....They will work great until their probation period is done and once they get in the union they start the Bad Job Behavior. The customer should not be the one to suffer due to the post office bad Hiring Practices. Overall I'd give this location an invisible 1 Star but I can't. Hello everyone just want to put it out how Parkchester Post Office really gets down. This Monday I arrive to get a money order for which I thought I would be in and out. We'll I was sadly mistaken. There was One line for pretty much everything but not the packages. Two Cashier's were present the Third was doing Passports. Out of no where One of the Loud Cashier's tries to help her Co-worker with the line that was getting long. Which made things worse how she spoke to a few of the people on line. Her work ethics could had been Professional along with a few of her co-workers. All to say you just never know who is watching and waiting on the side on how you do your job. The customer service should be a DO NOT for customer service trainees everywhere. So I have stood on the line waiting to be serviced with the intention of mailing an item to Georgia USA! I am not exaggerating when I say I was on that line 3.5 hours! I mean I could of went to the nearest airport and flew to Georgia USA (which is just a 2 hour flight from New York ) and got this package there faster!!! This is how bad the customer service is!! So if you are going there to mail something....do yourself a favor and bring a small stool to sit on... cause you will be standing a long long long time! This is one of the worst post offices in the United States. The clerks are very unprofessional, extremely rude, and disrespectful. They have inappropriate conversations at the window, they argue and disrespect customers who are literally confused and need help with mailings. Instead of helping the customer they will scream at them as if they are scolding a child. Telling the supervisor is like talking to yourself, the supervisor does nothing. The line is always long, they have the most of two clerks working and when you finally get to the window and want to ask a question they are so nasty towards you. The only clerk who actually knows the job is an older middle aged Asian woman. She's professional and she knows her stuff. The rest are African American young women and they are the absolute worst. They are bias towards Indians and Arabic people. They treat them like pure shit. It's just awful how they are in this location. This location needs to be cleaned up and there needs to be some diversity in there. It's a total mess. I will NEVER go back in there ever again because one of the clerks was so nasty to me. The USPS needs to remodel that location starting with those uncoof clerks at the windows. AVOID this location, it is the WORST! This location gets a -0 rating. This location isn't worth a rating. Where do I even start? I've lived in Parkchester for 3 years now and this post office is more of an inconvenience than anything else. Half of the time I have to to go and pick my packages up because I guess they didn't feel like delivering. I order a lot from Amazon and I order a 40lb bag of cat liter once or twice a month. With that said, because someone doesn't feel like doing the work they're paid for bring the heavy box to my door, I often have to walk to the post office to pick this up. I don't own a car or a dolly nor should I have to pay a cab. This is the purpose of why they're there for. I'll be home all day and next thing you know I get a text message from Amazon stating "Delivery Attempted" when no one rang the buzzer or knocked on my door. Horrible service! Also, there are a few workers there that are really incredibly rude and unprofessional. What they need is a huge firing so they can have professional and more reliable staff.
