Fortunate to live rather close to this post office with its extended business hours (SATURDAYS). But I can't say that this is my favorite location by a landslide. I get it's hard to be a USPS worker and deal with "difficult" customers all from varying languages and experience with visiting a Post Office but of the multiple times I've visited this post office majority have been poor experiences. Especially with a specific teller who's name reminds you of a chocolate peanut butter cup. They'll often reject prepaid labels if the date on the label doesn't match the day you're shipping. Even if they were closed the day prior for a weekend or a holiday. They will close/lock their doors as early as 30min prior to closing to limit people coming in. (Yes, this has caused me to miss a drop off and have to purchase a new shipping label multiple times.) And more often then not the tellers will talk to you with attitude and rudeness. Is it really that hard to just be HUMAN? And treat people with decency ? The same woman I'm sure another reviewer here is talking about is not only rude and incorrect but can't treat people like humans. Every time I encounter her she's unnecessarily mean and rude. I remember her well because it's always something with her. I always make sure I follow all rules and guidelines. I'm a reasonable, friendly and polite person. I came in there sweaty and struggling, very very pregnant, with my son in tow and carrying a big box in my arms the whole way there on foot, with a label that has been prepaid by the company that sent me the box for a return. I didn't pay for the label, the company did. Everything was automatic. She insisted that the box has to be mailed the same date the label is printed although I was given the specific guidance-BY USPS when printing the label - that it has to be shipped by January 29th, today is the 16th. She also insisted that the size of the box was wrong for the type of label used even though this was an automatically printed label for a standard box. She measured it twice because she was so hellbent to tell me I'm wrong and wasn't hearing otherwise, even though she found out she was wrong about the size she wouldn't admit it but seemed happy to be able to reject me based on the date on the label. I work for a company and we send people return labels all the time and never do they reject customers for not getting in the post office with the return the same date. She just takes joy in making people cry. Even if she was right, it would have been nice to reject me with some decency instead of being so mean about it. Sometimes people struggle and have hard days. It's been hard for me to get to the post office on time because of my work hours and she showed absolutely zero compassion and wouldn't explain how I should make it right either. So now I gotta go to a different post office because I'm not doing anything incorrectly but she refuses to accept the package! Like wtf. Avoid her at all costs if you can, she's middle aged with dark hair, probably Hispanic not that it matters but since I don't have her name this is my only descriptor. read more

Worst courier ever. I have sent an international shipping and the most valuable content has been lost in transit. I file a claim with USPS and this took 6 months to process. Meanwhile in 6 months period when USPS where trying to process my claim, the recipient courier services lost the remaining content and therefore my recipient never received any of the parcel. The USPS after 6 months only issued the Insurance which is far less than my content's value and they didn't refund the initial charges which I paid. read more

Horrible. This place makes me dread sending any kind of mail/package. The line is always long and the employees are rude as hell to everyone. I'm sure they get some horrible customers but that does not mean your customer service should be completely out the window. They have never been bad to me because I try to kill them with my kindness, but even then, they're just "okay". I do appreciate when they explain to me how to fill out a paper or prepare a package and allow me to skip the line when I'm done. Also, everyone in the area has been complaining about their different companies not receiving their bill payments.... then we found out that someone broke into this post office and messed up the mail for about 2 weeks. read more

I'm just making a guess here, but I bet it sucks to be a post office worker in the Bronx. You can be in some friendly, Leave-It-to-Beaver neighborhood and there's a chance that your local post office employee will snap, and here we are in an area with some shockingly rude residents, about a zillion language barriers, and just general chaos. Yet the good people at this post office are always friendly and as helpful as they can be. Most of them speak at least Spanish too. They try to keep it as efficient as possible. It's a small post office, and right before closing, the line goes out the door. But they do their best to move it as fast as possible. Pretty good hours too. They're open until late afternoon on Saturdays, which is nice. I only took a star off because for the first year or so, my PO box was highly undependable. To the point that I would email companies that had sent me stuff and be like, "I still haven't received my item, but it's probably my fault." Eventually, I'd get my item in the POB, but it would literally be a month later sometimes. It's gotten much better, but it was so hit or miss for a while that I would have to recommend caution if you do a POB. read more
