After this swap i decided to remove my phone from her account and make my own account. When I viewed my bill on the MyAccount app i saw that my iPhone 15 pro max was the phone linked to my account but my bill showed I was paying for her Samsung. I called customer service multiple times and every time I have called they tell me that my only option is to completely pay off her Samsung. I'm worried that even if I pay off her Samsung my iPhone 15 pro max will not be unlocked, and it will unlock her phone instead. I have been with US Cell since the 90's. I have always been happy with their service until now. My son is in the military and they have no decent plans for those who are serving our country. He is deployed and we have to pay the $15 a day if he needs to use his phone. Completely ridiculous. The only reason I haven't switched carriers is because I can't get a phone to him right now. I just discovered that my 80+ year old parents are being absolutely robbed by USC since my parents moved to another city. The USC salesperson talked my mother, who is not at all tech savvy, into purchasing a brand new iPhone 17 because, as the saleslady said, she needed it. That's ridiculous! My mom has a hard enough time just answering the phone when it rings! Why the hell does she need a flagship phone like that, other than to boost the commission of the saleslady. She also sold my mom an iPad with Cellular data connect, even though she had just sold her their wireless internet for their home, meaning she doesn't need an iPad with a cellular connection. (And, by the way, they have been paying for two of these Internet connections since April 2025, even though they just have one device. Why they're being billed for two I have no idea.) And, to top it off, the saleslady convinced my mom that she and my 84-year-old dad, who barely turns his phone on, that they needed unlimited cellular data. Any honest salesperson would have looked through her history and seen that she has never even used 1GB of cellular data in any given month prior to moving to Altoona. They hardly ever leave their home! They don't need unlimited cellular data!! What's the cost? They're paying over $350/month for phones and service they largely do not need. I'm planning to make another trip to visit them in the next few weeks when I can go into the USC store and give them an piece of my mind and try to straighten things out. Plain and simple, this is an obvious case of elder abuse. I understand that thieves intentionally prey on senior citizens and take advantage of them because of their limited understanding, but to see a company do this so obviously on purpose is disgusting. Used to love this company. I used to try and talk people into getting plans with this company. But this year the company seems to be going to shit in a handbasket and i'm not sure why. I upgraded my package a few months ago. Ever since then the nightmares have begun. Every 3 weeks my phone service goes out claiming.I owe them more money even though they just received payment anywhere from a day to several days prior. Then I get to spend several hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. They look into my record, they see my Bill's paid. But yet my service is suspended for unknown reasons. Somehow they magically make the signal reconnect. Now how they do not know that it's been paid prior to somebody looking at it.I don't understand they have no problem taking it out of my account every month on auto pay. So if you get the upgrade package, or just any plan expect that every few weeks you're gonna be without service for several hours (No calls in no calls out, except to pay a bill that you already paid)and you're gonna waste a few hours calling them to get rehook back up for nothing over and over.It seems to be every three weeks almost on schedule. Save yourself don't go through the headache. Find somebody that's stable in their company.Cause obviously this once having issues. read more

I live in the woods, after trying several cell companies US cellular worked great for 20 years even inside my metal shop building with the doors closed.. Now T-Mobile bought them out I have no service at my house or shop. They are turning off towers to see which ones they can delete and I guess mine is one of them.. 1 star is 1 too many! I used them for cell phone service and it was fine. I had internet service with another company and had problems with them so I went to US Cellular since I did not have troubles with them and my cell service. Boy was that a mistake. I went to the store and the girl told me it was $39.99 a month because of the promotion. Great! I signed the papers and she sent me home with equipment to set up myself (not happy about that but, okay). I began my service on 12/30/22. My first bill came and it was fine. Then as time went on every bill was higher and higher. I'm talking double and triple the amount! Then my internet started buffering towards the end of the month. I called and they told me I used up all my gigabytes (or whatever it is). I wasn't using my internet anymore than at the beginning...but okay. I went to the store and the associate could not figure out the problem. After a half hour with him, he got the manager over and she said that I could not get any more data in my area. Her solution was to turn off my phone when I wasn't using it!! Huh?? And she said I needed to call the 800 #. I did and they told me I can't get any more data, so I said I will have to go to another company. When I went to cancel they told me I owed $350! For what?? Equipment charge was $12.50 a month for 36 months. I had no idea what they were talking about. NEVER did the girl tell me I would be paying $450 for equipment that I had to install. I even asked her if it was just the payments of $39.99 a month...YES, M'AM...she said. I would never have gotten it if I was told about a $450 fee of any kind. When talking to a supervisor later, telling her how they are scamming people, one of her responses was, every company does this. I had 15 days from purchase to return the equipment but the charges did not start on my bill until 22 days after I had it! Also, when I went on vacation at then end of September they charged me $120.00 overages on an unlimited data plan! U.S. Cellular rapes you in overages when there shouldn't be any! Reviewing cell phone companies/stores is like reviewing a dentist. Some are good, some are bad, but either way you don't want to be there. So, keeping that in mind, I gave US Celluar 4 stars. Not because they're awesome, but because they didn't suck as bad as it could have. :) We had been with US Cellular for almost 2 years. It was time to upgrade. More importantly, it was time to change our pricing. With the new plans, you can finance a phone over 20 months, then stop paying for it. OR, use a phone that's paid off (or one you buy on Craigslist) and you only have to pay a $10 connection fee. Yes - your bill will GO DOWN. Whereas traditional pricing has you constantly paying for that phone (free phone, but $40 connection fee). I'll let them explain it to you, but trust me - we're saving money now. That being said, they could explain it better. "Your bill will drop dramatically in 20 months" isn't a phrase they threw out at me, but it's a hellevua selling point. They need to work on that. Like many stores of this nature, the waiting stinks (especially around the holidays), but they processed folks quickly. I was treated well by friendly staff. Ryan, the store manager, was fantastic and handled certain situations to my satisfaction. Like I said, dealing with cell companies isn't something you look forward to, but the store is clean and well organized, and the staff were friendly. That's about all you can ask for, We have renewed with them - it's the best deal we can find for our situation. Works for me! read more

Wife and I upgraded our phones back in January. We where told our phone bill will be around $220. We were told that give it a couple of months before our bill where normal. Ok now forward to July and our phone bill is $450 they state that their is $25 past due amount on our account. The. I talk to an actual service customer personal and they say our past due amount is $103. Our phone bill after removing the past due amount is still $347 which is roughly $120 more then what she have been told on numerous of time. We have called the last 4 month trying to figure out our phone bill and it still not what we were told. I am fed up with this bill and the terrible service we have been experiencing lately. US Cellular's service is mediocre at best, and - most annoying of all - their craptastic website is virtually always down, which means you have to spend days just trying to pay your bill. (I suspect they do this on purpose so you'll sign up for an automatic payment plan, but of course I can't prove it. They might just be agonizingly incompetent.) Unbelievable....HANDS DOWN THE WORST SERVICE EVER! After spending two weeks in Colorado this summer, I was in O'hare on my return to Wisconsin and had 84 missed calls and texts from the past 2 weeks! I contacted US Cellular to let them know that my service is not only terrible, but absolutely RIDICULOUS! When I made the call to US cellular after having the absolutely WORST cell service all summer long, (we got our phones in April and never once had decent service) NOT ONCE! Just traveling to Madison from my home near Milwaukee, NO SERVICE! When I called to get some support from US Cellular, not only are they completely useless, but my call dropped NINE, yes 9 times from within my own home! I live 1and 1/2 miles from the US CELLULAR store and I have to go out in my driveway to make or get a phone call, texts sometimes come in 2 to 3 days later and some never get delivered. This is HANDS DOWN THE MOST PATHETIC PART OF THIS STORY - NOT ONE OF THOSE FIRST 8 CALLS THAT I MADE TO US CELLULAR WERE EVER RETURNED BY THE REPRESENTATIVE I WAS TALKING TO FROM U.S. CELLULAR NOT ONE! On my 9th call and the last support person I talked, he stated, " IF THE CALL DROPS WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO"! I didn't think I had to tell a multimillion dollar corporation that is not best practice! IS that customer service? Regardless, it doesn't matter where you live DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY INTO US CELLULAR's AD's and LIES! They are very un-reputable and will not give you any support AT ALL. BAIT AND SWITCH! BUYER BEWARE! Financed my phone since they offered tons of deals. Paid it off, then it completely died and I had to buy a new one so I bought the next one outright. Coverage has been steadily disappearing for about a year and I was forced to a new carrier after 30 years as a US Cellular customer. Called US Cellular twice to make sure I owed no money. Both time, I was told my account was paid in full. After I moved service to another carrier, I received a bill from US Cellular for $600. The TOOK BACK all of the phone deals they offered me when I financed the phone that completely died. Took them back! And the phone was paid off! Of course I called to find out what they could do and it was, sorry but you cancelled, we took back the deal we gave you and now you owe. Have a nice day. Oh yeah! Thought it was a good idea to stop by USCellular to see if they had service in my area.. After some high pressure sales, they determined that they were not sure if I would get service, so why not "try out" a hotspot for 30 days. So I did, because it seemed cheap enough and with 30day return I could refund the purchase if I wasn't satisfied.. This was NOT the case I brought the phone in on what i thought was a few days early, but according to their calculations, the day I got the phone at 7pm was also one of the days, and the day I returned it would have to be the 29th day, because the 30th day would actually be too late.. this is when they told me that their 30day policy was actually more like 29 or 28 days.. and they refused to honor the refund.. This stuck me w the bill.. so I would have to break the contract if I wanted to cancel monthly service.. why would I pay for service if I hadn't been able to get service in the areas I needed it for the past few weeks?? This place uses high pressure sales, with additional pressure from nearby associates, shoddy service, doubletalk, and don't even know their own coverage areas. I was lied to about a 30day return, and strongly encourage anyone to get a return date IN WRITING To top it all off, after all this, I find that when USCellular checked my credit, they had sent in 3 checks!!! This has been on my report for over a year w no resolve from my disputing with them... Since then, I have seen them screw over other friends.. telling one their phone was bad and buying it for pennies on the dollar $50 for iPhone6s+ (The phone was fine) I know because I had used it.. my friend was just being impatient and clicking continuously on the phone... which he still does with the new phone and has the same problems.. including new additional problems he has of having lost many photos & info & configs, and now having to pay monthly for iCloud storage they caused him to need by uploading "all" his info to the cloud.. I have not been happy since I went to US Cellular back in the fall of 2016. One of their employees said he changed my account to be automatic...apparently employees can't do that. So I was fined a late fee. I changed my payments to automatic myself and the next month...another late fee. So I called them and they said "Well, sometimes it takes a month or two before it will start." What the hell?! That's not my fault, why would you charge a late fee for that?! Two days ago I got a text saying I had used 75% of my data...my data is unlimited, so how could I have used 75% of my data? My payment was automatic, but they have charged me over $30!! It was on time, so what's this charge for?!! Every time I talk to someone, they send me to somebody else, who then will waste our time by arguing with me and saying it's not their fault. I'm over it. A fair warning. I am not one to write reviews, however, given my recent experiences with US Cellular I feel it is my due diligence to warn others about their supposedly promised promotions and rebates. My husband was with US Cellular for a while and back in June they had a great promotion that prompted me to switch to them. In order to do so I had to change my phone number of 18 years but they promised a $150 promotion to switch and that they would provide a rebate of up to $200 to pay off my I-Phone. We made the switch and were given the paperwork for the rebate, which I promptly submitted with the required documents. I continued to check the progress on this rebate for 2.5 months receiving the consistent message that it was pending. Come September and US Cellular has another promotion to upgrade your phone to the I-Phone 11, promising $200 to do so. My husband goes to the US Cellular store, upgrades his phone, and checks on our promised rebate from June. We are then told that we would not be getting this rebate because we were not allowed to get the previous June promotion and rebate together, which was not what we were originally told. We provided our side of the story and at this time they graciously heard our complaints, called corporate, and stated they would give us the rebate but could only do so under the guise of this new I-Phone upgrade promotion that was currently happening. They promised to send my husband the $200 via an electronic Visa card that would state it was for the I-Phone upgrade, however, it was really for the previous promised rebate back in June that never happened. They then helped my husband pick out new accessories for his phone stating this would be paid for through his current upgrade promotion and the remaining amount of $95 would be applied to our next phone bill. He walked out thinking he had his new phone with accessories, a decreased bill, and a $200 rebate coming his way for the June mistake, which is what he was told. He receives a text a couple days later with an electronic Visa card worth $200 and doesn't touch it as he decides how he wants to use this money. Come December and he checks his account with an unpleasant surprise. The $200 Visa card balance is down to $0, he was billed for the merchandise he received for his I-Phone in September, and then was double billed for the September phone bill (as opposed to having it decreased). Nothing that was promised to him came true, he was charged extra with no explanation, and the $200 Visa card was used by US Cellular without his authorization. He returns to the store to complain and speaks to the same person who helped him in September. She proceeds to lie and says she doesn't know what he is talking about and that they don't know how to help him. They call corporate, say corporate is confused as well and that, pretty much, he is out of luck. They suggest we call corporate ourselves, which I then do. I have left 2 messages and no one has returned my call. Long story short, we were promised things that never happened, were lied to, and then were told to deal with it. Be wary of what they promise and be aware you will not receive much help or costumer service when things go awry. read more

Entered the store with a 6 mo old HTC Desire that just stopped working. Service guy checks it over very thoroughly and says - it's broke. What are my options? See if you can get an upgrade. Sales guy - You are not due for an upgrade until next June. What are my options? You could buy used or new. Left the store and called US Cellular customer service on wifes phone. I am standing outside your store with a broken phone. What are my options? You are not due for an upgrade until next June - I KNOW that, is there anything else that can be done ? A new phone is $500. I go home and check my warranty - The phone has a 12 month warranty, but did any of the 3 service/sales people that I talked to ever tell me that my phone was eligible for warranty service??? The employees and the manager were all extremely helpful and nice even though it was busy when I was there. I do not recommend this location to anyone. There is a salesman who sold me and my son two phones and when I learned from my son that he had made an error on our order for insurance coverage and that we supposedly did not have it on one of those phones, I called there and had to wait for him to call me back. When he did he would not even wait until I was done explaining the problem he began interrupting and blaming me for the error without even eating for me to finish. I only kept US Cellular because any other phone connection would be worse. They rop customers off with insurance and try not to cover broken phones and give you refurbished ones and overcharged for the deductible. Do not go to this location. I got an email when I signed up in December 2018 stating total monthly charges would be $175/month which total to date would mean I should have paid over the course of 10 months $1750, well we have hit the $2600 mark as of this month and our average bill is $489 (yes it's unlimited). Not to mention the fact that their service coverage is actually terrible. I kept the email and have argued with them over the charges repeatedly. My contract ended today! So after what I thought was bad service at Verizon I headed down to US Cellular today. Only to find out there is over a 30 min wait to talk to someone to buy service. That begs the question if you have to wait 30min to buy a cell plan how long will you have to wait when you have a problem? This location has a nice layout, they recently remodeled. Some of the staff really don't seem to care about you if your in there just for service. They'll open the door and ask how they can help, if you need a new phone boom they're treating you like the royal family. Now if you need service or a service technicians help, they'll just put you on the list and you can wait. If I could give them zero stars, I would. All they could say to me was, "We can't help you, we don't know what's wrong with your phone." There was not a service tech working? hey couldn't offer me any ways to help solve the problem. They didn't even have any extra batteries to test whether it was a simple battery problem.
