Dear Steve B. - Manager Thank you for your response,…read morehowever, if you would have read my review you would have seen I have already contacted Mike S. I left him a voice message and I'm waiting to hear back. 1. I went to this store because they had such high reviews. Unfortunately, my service was DEFINITELY NOT 5 stars. I spoke with Ben about getting a iPhone 15 Pro Max. He didn't have any in stock stock so he ordered one. I waited until the end of the week when he got back in the store and my phone would have already arrived. I called in the morning to make sure the phone came in. He said it had, so I drove the 30 minutes to get it. When I got to the store we started the process and he realized he had the regular 15 not the Pro Max. He called another store to see if they had one and suggested I could there. I wasn't happy with that idea as I had already driven to that store and waited 4 days to get it. He went to get it (which took another 30+ minutes). Once everything was set up, he said I got a FREE screen cover which he put on and a FREE phone case. I didn't need the phone case so he said I could pick out one of the charges instead. I proceeded to pick out the "free" charger and then saw the printed invoice that I asked for. The "free" charger and "free" screen case COST $199.99!! I told him that I didn't want any of them and he said there was still an activation fee. I just received my bill from Verizon and I was charged activation fees. I called Verizon and they said that his fee wasn't any type of activation fee. That this store was not a corporate store and they can charge whatever they want. Buyer beware of the Device Payment Promotion - You are NOT GETTING ANYTHING FREE. They use the term free and don't tell you are actually paying $200!! 2. HOURS LATER, I finally went home with my new iPhone and Apple watch. Once home, all of the sudden my old Samsung watch rings. Apparently, he didn't set up my new Apple watch right! I have to drive another 30 minutes both ways to have him set up my watch again. 3. I gave them my Samsung S21 phone in to get my $800 trade in credit. I look on my Verizon bill and it is not there. They said they never received the phone from the store. I called the store and they said that they wait until they have a load of them before they ship them and that I should wait another month or 2 before it shows up on my bill. 4. I've tried multiple times to call the store to discuss my dissatisfaction and I get no answer and voice mail has not been set up. 5. I found the name/phone number of the District Manager Mike S. at (608) 572-0985 from another review and left him a message. I hope he will be able to resolve my complaints above.

He will charge you for things no one in their life would imagine paying for, and then lie to you about the prices and functionality of everything else. The store gave us Sean's number saying he is the only one that can help us but he continues to ignore our calls. This is not a direct Verizon store, and they WILL rip you off. If only I could go back in time to the moment right before my wife and I walked into this store, we would walk away. UPDATE: I finally received my first communication from Sean about these matters. Instead of an apology, an explanation, or an offer of resolution or even a beginning, he said to stop harassing HIM. Now THERE'S some customer service for you. ZERO accountability. Once you're out the door that's it.

A ROTTEN APPLE…read more Today I had my first negative experience with Apple. Sorry for the long read, but I'm angry enough to relate what happened. About two weeks ago, I bought a new iMac. The 2019 model I had was working fine, but I wanted to upgrade. I was told BOTH online by a consumer shopping assistant and in the Hilldale store that my current Mac was worth $100 in trade. (Not great, but at least something, for a computer with no issues that was babied). I ordered the new Mac. I picked it up 9 days ago. I was told "you have two weeks to get the data off your old iMac and reinstall the operating system". I took 8 days to get it wiped and ready for trade. Today, taking it in, I was told by the manager at Hilldale... "Oh, it's worth zero now... but you can leave it here and we'll recycle it." I argued the point that they had given me a period of two weeks to get it in for the trade, and he said "Well, I guess in that time it went from $100 to zero. Sorry." I brought it home. I went online with Apple. Talked with "specialists" online about the order who told me, "It looks like 15 hours ago the value dropped from $100 to 0." I said...."You gave me two weeks. I took 8 days. This is a bit ridiculous." It may be the last shopping experience EVER for me at the Hilldale Apple Store. Man, I miss the helpful people at Graphite. I doubt this would have happened.

The reason that they get one star is not because they couldn't fix my phone. It's because all three guys working there seemed more interested in ordering lunch than assisting me. (And I was the only one in there!) Two of them tried to figure out what was wrong and kept on saying that the only way to get my contacts back would be to retrieve my previous phone. When I told them the error message that occurred regarding "TuneWiki" guy 1 asked what that was. Guy 2 went on to take my phone and show guy 1 what it was and telling him about it. (That couldn't happen after I leave?) These guys were horribly unprofessional and I will never be back to that Verizon store. I was able to retrieve my contacts later on. They were in my trash can on Backup Assistant. Even though guy 1 said that he checked there. Attention college students: This Verizon is convenient and right next to campus. But if you want people who actually know what they are talking about, I would go somewhere else. If you want to know what's good at the noodle place around the corner then this might be the Verizon for you.

Each time we report it, they just kinda of appease us with basic troubleshooting (replace this device, try turning up the signal, etc.). Rarely does it help. Our latest issue came when I lost internet for three days. I work from home, so it's kind of important. They wouldn't prioritize me since it was just me, so I had to wait, costing me a day off and all my mobile data as I used my hotspot. Finally a tech came out and said the cable from the pillar outside was pretty old (aka "original"), so he ran new stuff to my house. They'd send someone a couple days later to bury it. Cool - things seemed better after that. However, that night (like at 3am), a truck pulled up and monkeyed with that box. The next morning, I was down again - all services. Calling it in started troubleshooting all over from scratch. Like, you couldn't just look up the work order to see what those guys did? And have them come fix it?? LONG story short, it was a big issue, and had any homes been downstream from me, they would have had issues too (so the cable-burying guy told me). Eventually they got it working again. But hey - guess what? I stlil have some pixilation watching TV... So after all that, I'm really no better off than I was before. Thanks guys.

I visited the Cahill Main location during the outage. I asked why I did not receive an email…read morenotification about the outage and the manager said that they are not responsible for Verizon's failure to communicate because they were "independent" from Verizon. I asked whose name was on the wall and a customer started yelling at me from across the room and defending the salesmen. They did nothing to stop her so I told her to shut up. She then got up and came right at me saying "make me" in a threatening and provocative manner. She was very angry and unstable but the manager kicked me out of the store for telling this angry woman to shut up (which was their job), and he foolishly let her stay in the store, creating an obvious threat to others. They protected her because she defended them after they refused to do anything when she was yelling at me when I entered the store. I reported the company to DATCAP. The "executive" who handled the account said that he could not share any information about possible disciplinary action against the employee who enabled this insane interaction. In the next breath, he said that the store was an independent entity that was not under Verizon's control. This is the same lie that I was told by the store manager when I entered the store. This is a deceptive and illegal trade practice. Under agency law, the store is an agent of Verizon, and Verizon is responsible for its illegal and reckless conduct. Conversely, the store is responsible for Verizon's actions, including its failure to notify me of the outage, which cost me a client. Do not let these companies gaslight you. They do not care about your complaints, only their image. The employee in question should be fired for his failure to address this crazy woman and stop her from interrupting our conversation. He should be fired for not lifting a finger when this woman invited me into a physical confrontation. He should be fired for protecting her and asking me to leave the store because I told her to shut up. I would have never said a word if he had done his job and taken measures to protect me from this unstable, angry person. Finally, he should be fired for lying to me by saying that his store is not responsible for anything Verizon does. Whose name is on the wall?

I was formerly the general manager for the ZAGG kiosk in Madison WI for Leslie and Mike Walker, the…read morefranchise owners. Please keep in mind that this was a franchise location and NOT directly involved with ZAGG as a company outside of selling their products. After being open since September the owners had hired an insane trio of worthless employees who had been stealing from the location, treating customers rudely and basically running the place into the ground. I was hired in January to fix the situation. Right away, none of the employees liked me as I was tightening security, not letting them screw around or steal and scheduling and trying to get them off their motivated to work instead of diving into their cell phones all day. Needless to say all of them quit or I had to fire them. So then I replaced them with more reliable staff. Even to the point of hiring a good friend who needed work and driving him to and from work each day he was on as he had no car. Then it became clear that the problem with sales wasn't just the previous staff. While the zagg products are good, the screen protectors are far too over priced at most franchise locations compared to those available online, at franchise locations in other states and with other brands at other store fronts in the very same mall we were in. The location owners were also charging an insane warranty replacement price that most zagg retailers and the mail in service with ZAGG do not charge customers. If they had put this kiosk in one of the stores or outlets closer to UW and kept a more fair price point on the screen protectors and warranties, they wouldn't have had a problem selling screen protectors at all. There are hardly any screen protection retailers in the UW area and collage students are a prime market for the service. The west towne mall location where this kiosk was is simply a place students do not shop in Madison. It is too far from the campus area and there is a larce commercial street mall right on the campus. I tried to tell the franchise owners this several times and even found three locations on the UW campus willing to host us in their stores on cross promotional deals but the owners simply ignored it. The franchise owners were also asking us to fake warranty returns to zagg for screens that were defective, did not properly attach to a customer's phone or ruined by the on demand screen cutter which was defective. The franchise owners refused to repair or replace it. Eventually the franchise owner's wife rolled into town on Feb 10th, 2017 to lay everyone off and closed the store with no prior notice even though it was obvious the choice had been made weeks before when I submitted the sales and market reports showing that the place would never be profitable on it's own. THEN the franchise owners (keep in mind this is not zagg corporate but a group of people franchising for them) tried to accuse us of stealing from the location and not properly administrating the location. It is a good thing I began collecting evidence to the contrary only a week after i was hired and noticed things were fishy. I have every sales report, bank drop report and even pictures of the fake warranties they were trying to pass over onto ZAGG. The last and final sale completed at the kiosk was a screen replacement for a woman's tablet that had been ordered weeks ago but never arrived. The franchise owner's wife put it on and it was full of dust when she placed it on the customer's tablet. She then told the customer to come back in a few weeks and she would replace it. Not even telling her that the location would be closed by then. It is likely that you will not see another ZAGG location in Madison ever again. I honestly DO NOT understand what these people were thinking or why ZAGG would allow people so incapable of running a business to run a franchise location for them.
