I inadvertently downloaded Malware onto my computer, which made it run extremely slow, constantly freeze up, and generate pop-ups on Safari and Google just by typing. Service I received: Sarah, the tech person who repaired computer, promised me I'd get it back in 2-3 day. I got it back in two days and was pleased. My computer runs smoothly: no pop-ups, fast loading, and no freezing. For $250 (before taxes), Sarah did the following: erased and wiping out everything on my computer, transferred everything onto an external hard drive (which they included in the package, since I couldn't find mine), and installed an anti-Malware software. As an academic, my computer is my life! So, I felt the cost was worth it, since I have no intention of replacing my 2012 MacBook anytime soon. When I got my computer home, I had to re-install Word and other software I use. Initially, I freaked out when I couldn't figure out how to find some key files things (namely my dissertation!). When I called the store, Josh (the other tech person), graciously told me I could come in, since Sarah was busy at the time, and he'd help me figure out my "new" computer. The owner came out and was really sweet as well. Within minutes, Josh reset some administrative details on my computer and helped me locate everything. Plus, he gave me a coffee mug to boost.

I eventually had to call AppleCare, which was able to solve my problem. The repair took a few days because they had to order the part but once it came in, the actual replacement only took a couple hours. By the time I got out of class, my laptop was as good as new. I did get a used part (because it was cheaper and I'm not rich) so there were small scratches but not that many (2-3 perhaps) to actually complain about because they aren't distracting let alone an eyesore. I liked that they did have the option to get a used part, though, instead of getting a brand new one for way more. I did wait a few days before submitting this review because I would've jumped on yelp as soon as I got home from the store but I figured I should wait to see if any malfunctions occurred before I start raving about my experience. Lo and behold, it's been almost a week and my computer is still doing great. One thing I'd like to point out is that the people behind the desk have great costumer service. The guy that I communicated with added some additional services that were of no cost like lightly cleaning my keyboard and adding a screen protector which I found to be really nice. I've already recommended my friends to this place and will come back if I ever need their services again (but hopefully not for my sake).

I visited the Cahill Main location during the outage. I asked why I did not receive an email…read morenotification about the outage and the manager said that they are not responsible for Verizon's failure to communicate because they were "independent" from Verizon. I asked whose name was on the wall and a customer started yelling at me from across the room and defending the salesmen. They did nothing to stop her so I told her to shut up. She then got up and came right at me saying "make me" in a threatening and provocative manner. She was very angry and unstable but the manager kicked me out of the store for telling this angry woman to shut up (which was their job), and he foolishly let her stay in the store, creating an obvious threat to others. They protected her because she defended them after they refused to do anything when she was yelling at me when I entered the store. I reported the company to DATCAP. The "executive" who handled the account said that he could not share any information about possible disciplinary action against the employee who enabled this insane interaction. In the next breath, he said that the store was an independent entity that was not under Verizon's control. This is the same lie that I was told by the store manager when I entered the store. This is a deceptive and illegal trade practice. Under agency law, the store is an agent of Verizon, and Verizon is responsible for its illegal and reckless conduct. Conversely, the store is responsible for Verizon's actions, including its failure to notify me of the outage, which cost me a client. Do not let these companies gaslight you. They do not care about your complaints, only their image. The employee in question should be fired for his failure to address this crazy woman and stop her from interrupting our conversation. He should be fired for not lifting a finger when this woman invited me into a physical confrontation. He should be fired for protecting her and asking me to leave the store because I told her to shut up. I would have never said a word if he had done his job and taken measures to protect me from this unstable, angry person. Finally, he should be fired for lying to me by saying that his store is not responsible for anything Verizon does. Whose name is on the wall?
