Beware of there Billing . I cancelled my internet with them. And even though I was on the going on their vacation plan.. they told me I still had to paid one more additional month. They don't train their employees well so you get different answers to your questions depending on who you talk to. I am so glad not to be with them. Was confronted at Walmart by a sales agent and ended up leaving saying I did not want service but would think about it. That night I received emails for order confirmation and that a modem was on the way. Chat support said there was nothing they could do since the order had shipped. The following day the store was packed and when the situation was explained they told me to deal with it and wait to cancel. Would never recommend talking with a spectrum agent. read more

bought a new phone with a $100 trade in offer but forgot my phone had a one hour lock on the "stole Device Protection" which I clicked, but they weren;t willing to wait for nit to unlock, so they told me to come back another day once I had turned off the Stolen Device protection feature to get the trade in deal so I did, come back 2 days later, but they had a "computer glitch" so they could not take in my old phone as trade-in , so they put in a ticket number for Spectrum to correct the "computer glitch" but when I called spectrum 3 days , they had received no ticket number and were unable to do anything to enable the trade in so if you want a "trade in deal" unlock your phones Stolen Device Protection beforehand and make sure they honor trade-in deals in the store, because their representatives are otherwise completely unhelpful read more

You will lose service randomly with spectrum. Not due to an outage, but just because the service they provide is not stable. Do not choose spectrum if you live in an apartment or condo. When you do need to eventually call and request the service you pay for to be reinstated, it will be more than 3 hours before you can talk to a human. The customer service robot is hot garbage and less useful than the microplastics in your body and will only try to sell you more useless services you never wanted. If you have another option, TDS or AT&T save yourself the headache and pick a competitor. read more

Called spectrum and they told me to just drop off my package which was an extra router and modem that was sent to me. I already picked up the modem and router at the spectrum store days prior and they made me check in and wait 30 minutes just to drop off the extra stuff. I told the guy I just need to drop this off and he said " still have to check in and wait like everyone else". There was only two other people in the store and lots of staff. I just got a call from spectrum! February 22nd 2025. I had a no contract with spectrum which means they can just raise their rates every year. The middle of September at 15th My internet service in my internet phone service through a different company but using the internet wasn't working some I called spectrum told them about it. Nobody ever showed up nobody called me back. I saw that you could return it the modem and the power supply even without calling them I've following the internet procedure from spectrum website. Helene hit Morris everything out the end of September. I was able to get out The 16th of the next month when the new service month started. I stopped in Johnson City Tennessee to their UPS office and got a receipt and dropped the modem off. But spectrum claim they never got the modem but I did have the receipt. Now every phone office in the country keeps calling me hundreds and hundreds of them. They arerobot calls to boot. They owe me 2 weeks because you pay in advance. But they're a real nuisance. I can't remove the one star. But I have a copy of the receipt. And fema still hasn't repaired the bridge. They used all their money flying into the country future immigrants. read more

My fiancé has gone in twice, after being authorized on our account TWICE to pick up our internet equipment. Each time, they've told him he's not authorized, so I reauthorized him. I even called customer service and they said he was all set to pick up our equipment. They've wasted our time twice, and we STILL don't have our equipment. They were unwilling to help, refused to talk to me on the phone, and said he wasn't authorized after multiple times authorizing him. read more

worst provider on the planet. services are sketchy, prices are extremely high and when you call customer service it is always a run around. Even to cancel services, you must wait at least a half hour for the agents to enter the information. Gladly disconnected our services today and happy to argue with the "senior agent" that they are not allowed to prorate in Wisconsin, ok sir, please disconnect immediately because you're not helping your case as to why we are canceling. read more

I have had this service for a couple of months now and several times a week the wifi will crash for a few hours at a time. Even when it is on the service is spotty. It is very difficult to stream anything or play any sort of game online without interruption. Has to be the worst internet provider in the area. read more

Been told multiple times before moving that I can keep the equipment (including phone representatives, technicians, and management). Was also told old address would be deactivated as well by the same people. Had kept verifying with them over time that it was indeed taken off my account. Now one year later to find out that they didn't take it off the account, needed the equipment back, and supposedly took no notes as to the move or request to remove previous address. And because of that lack of information "can't" reimburse the money over the last year. They are using misinformation and loopholes to take more away from you if possible. Their people are nice on the phone but to me seems like they are mostly looking out for themselves. read more

If you enjoy playing competitive games or uninterrupted internet service avoid Spectrum at all costs. I've had spectrum for almost two years now because it is the only internet service in my area, and I can tell you it is the worst service and under no circumstances should you try and play competitive games using Spectrum. Service drops for 5-6 minutes several times a day. It has been a nightmare using them, and I desperately hope I can use a different provider one day. Absolutely hate this service. read more

First of all the guy needs to take the crap out of his mouth so you can understand what he's saying, and a little eye Contact with a customer would be nice too. I went in for a replacement. I was worried after seeing all the bad reviews that it was going to take forever. Ended up taking less then 5 mins and the cute guy was extremely kind and helpful, with not only me, he saw 2 elderly people that looked confused and quickly but kindly redirected them. Horrible internet service, 1st they did not disclose you had to be right next to router to get high speed (had to buy additional equipment) then constant outages. We had to call them as they said it was an issue on their end but it never was resolved. We are forming a smart house and along with streaming and remote working this service is simply not reliable and very dishonest. Avoid Spectrum Charter for your Internet/TV/Phone needs! Tried cancelling 4 times in April only to be on hold and waiting every time with no answer. Turned in my equipment the day after billing cycle ended. Now they're charging me $162 for all of May saying I could've cancelled sooner and citing their "monthly service agreement." Went into the location on Zeier Rd, Madison on April 1, 2023 to get out cell phones switched from Verizon to Spectrum. Steven Koehn was our store specialist and he did a great job at getting 2 phones switched in a timely manner and being efficient. Spectrum itself is pretty nice. Quick, mostly painful set up and take down, etc. However, I came in with my boyfriend to cancel our wi-fi and the man who helped us was absolutely terrible. His name is Patrick. He called our name to come up, immediately started barking questions at us, then ordered my boyfriend to take everything out of the bag. While he was doing that Patrick scoffed and said everything needed to come out of the boxes too. Then he proceeded to knock the router to the floor and throw both items into the cabinet behind him. He flung the receipt at my boyfriend to sign, handed him his copy, set his ID on top of the boxes for him to take and as my boyfriend went to take his ID, Patrick picked up the boxes and slid the ID onto the counter. There was no "customer service," no "Hello, how are you?" It was honestly so terrible that it was comical. read more
