This store is closed, terminated, relocated, gone, done-so, no signs, nothing, but their website still lists 545 State St. in a FAT size 48+ font at the top of the page, still lists 545 State St. in their locations. Long story short, I contact them through their site. Nick Nelson answers and tells me that they moved to "3308 university ave." Broke my phone one weekend night (was partying WAYYY too hard, can you say mechanical bull?).... THE result?? broken Iphone4 screen, FRONT and BACK. Chris knew what phone brands would be compatible with my cell phone plan, and offered new and used options. I bought a used phone which turned out to have a glitch in it. I called Chris, and he told me a work-around until I could get into the store. When I brought the phone back in, he fixed it promptly and helped me update some settings. Each time the repair has taken no more than 48 hours and cost MUCH less than UW DoIT would have charged me. I just moved to the area 4 months ago and have done nothing but abuse my galaxy s5 (with a case) for most of it. I dropped it in a hot tub. Tech heroes. Fixed the water damage to the port for less than the insurance would have cost me to replace it. Oh and it only took 3 hours. One for one. The screen to my phone stopped lighting up one day. Tech heroes. They took it apart and explained that the screen on my particular type of phone was faulty. They charged a small 30 dollar fee for labor and had my phone back to me in 2 hours. Two for two. Today I walked in with the same problem, because I dropped my phone flat on its face and the screen came loose again. I expected to pay a small fee again, but the guys there took ownership of the situation and covered the cost due to a recurring problem!!! Super friendly service and is actually better than there other location on washington. Clean and professional, there other one seems a tad cluttered and dischevaled. Nick Nelson has been awesome when helping me with my phone situation. He's attentive, thorough and professional. He has been involved in all of my interactions at this location and is just an overall good dude. His staff seems knowledgeable and friendly and on board with the service at hand. I won't bash the reviews below, but the one about the website....lol. I'm sure it's been fixed and you can uber to tech heroes safely. Ya turd. I brought my new hotspot device that had a nano SIM card stuck in its micro SIM slot (not a good idea to try this without knowing what I'm doing). The staff was very helpful and said "Let's see what we can do." He opened it up, got the stuck card out without any damage and then helped me put it back into the micro SIM form and insert into the slot. The fee was very reasonable. So shocked to go to a good friend who owns the same type of business today for a product not related to my cell phone, wanted a flip case for my s-5 samsung which is outdated for accessories, said he could order one and i said i wanted to update my cell since my cell side volume buttons dont work because this company told me that he had to remove glass to fix it and was worried he might break glass and that he did not want to have to worry about replacing cell all together, estimated me 100.00 dollars... today it took my friend less than a minute to remove a part from an old phone and put in my cell, and said no charge... wow... worse than a mechanic!! I paid $120 plus tax to have my cracked iPhone screen replaced. There was a 30-day warranty. It was acting a little glitchy during the first month, but nothing horrible. I had left for college so I couldn't get back to have my phone looked at. After 4 months, I could no longer use my phone. Save your money. Disingenuous owner, repair, and warranty. I had the screen on my iPhone repaired (if that's what we're calling it) on July 12th. All was fine until I went to Willy Street Co-op on July 17th, an exceptionally warm day in Madison. No surprise that the AC was blaring inside the store. When I returned outside, got in my car, and retrieved my phone from my purse, I noticed a small crack on my iPhone screen. I hadn't dropped my phone, so all I could assume was the difference in temperature had prompted this sort of crack. Likely, the replacement glass or the repair was poor quality. I couldn't take my phone in for repair when it happened, because TechHeroes is closed on Sundays. When I finally had a chance to visit today, Chris looked at my phone and said it was "physical" damage, nullifying the alleged 90-day repair warranty. He wasn't clear on what falls outside the realm of physical damage and within the warranty. He told me he could fix it for me and only charge me for labor, which would have been an additional $30. This was quite perplexing, especially since his prior attempt to "fix" my phone only lasted for 5 days. I paid $99 for a 5-day repair. Why would I give someone more money to do more damage to my phone? Do not support his business. They clearly do not care anything about their customers or the money we pay for their shitty service. Places like TechHeroes make it very difficult to support local, small-owned business. I was entirely disheartened that my only options were to pay $30 or $99 again. Very sad. read more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! My cheap laptop suddenly wasn't taking a charge and quickly fell below the operational threshold and wouldn't boot up. It only needed to get me through another two+ months of school, and with no reason to believe it was any trouble with my charge cable, I was frustrated at the possibility of needing to spend any cash for a new computer. Having been referred to them by a friend, I brought it over to TECH HEROES ON UNIVERSITY AVE., where I was KINDLY GREETED by one of their technicians, who QUICKLY and ACCURATELY DIAGNOSED my trouble and went to work on it. The tech opened up the computer, made a QUICK tweek, and sent me one my way with a newly repaired computer and at a VERY REASONABLE PRICE.
