What followed was an incredibly frustrating experience that lasted several weeks, involved multiple trips to the store, and ultimately left me with the exact same problem I had when I initially brought the device in. After dropping off the Switch, I received absolutely no communication from the store regarding the status of the repair. Three weeks later, I finally called and was told the device had been repaired and was ready for pickup. The store had replaced the game cartridge reader and assured me the device was working. However, when I arrived, the device was dead, and they were unable to demonstrate that it was actually functioning. Despite this, I paid the full repair cost and took it home, only to discover that it still did not work. I returned to the store, where I was told they would expedite the repair. Once again, there was no communication or follow-up. When I eventually returned, I was told that their test game worked in the device, but the game I had left with them did not. Based on this, they concluded the device was fixed and that the issue was with my game. unfortunately, none of my son's games worked in the Switch, yet every single one of them worked perfectly in an alternative Switch belonging to a friend. This clearly pointed back to an issue with the device. At this point, I requested a full refund. Rather than taking accountability for a repair that had not resolved the original problem, I was required to escalate the issue and was told I needed to bring the device back to the store for a FOURTH visit to once again demonstrate that it was not working. This was despite the fact that the store had never successfully demonstrated that the device was functioning with my games in the first place. The lack of communication, repeated troubleshooting, inability to resolve the original issue, and resistance to providing a refund have made this an extremely disappointing experience. I have spent weeks dealing with this company, made multiple unnecessary trips to the store, paid for a repair that did not fix the problem, and ultimately found myself having to repeatedly prove that I was not receiving the service I paid for. I would not recommend this company. Be very cautious before committing to a repair, particularly if something goes wrong. Based on my experience, getting a resolution or refund when they are unable to fix your device can be an incredibly difficult process.

Great thing was, I didn't even have to take a bus to get here! This place is conveniently located on State Street, a fitting spot for students who go to UW- Madison. The repair took a few days because they had to order the part but once it came in, the actual replacement only took a couple hours. By the time I got out of class, my laptop was as good as new. I did get a used part (because it was cheaper and I'm not rich) so there were small scratches but not that many (2-3 perhaps) to actually complain about because they aren't distracting let alone an eyesore. I liked that they did have the option to get a used part, though, instead of getting a brand new one for way more. I did wait a few days before submitting this review because I would've jumped on yelp as soon as I got home from the store but I figured I should wait to see if any malfunctions occurred before I start raving about my experience. Lo and behold, it's been almost a week and my computer is still doing great. One thing I'd like to point out is that the people behind the desk have great costumer service. The guy that I communicated with added some additional services that were of no cost like lightly cleaning my keyboard and adding a screen protector which I found to be really nice.
