WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely First by Josh thru email and on the phone. Then when I finally got Brian on the phone, he went insane... told me he had nothing for me and never to call there again and slammed the phone on me. I was a faithful Madisound customer since 1986 and their crossover boards are in 24 of my mobile disc jockey speakers. Madisound built them originally. Parts have failed and boards were rebuilt or replaced over the decades. We have tried to bulletproof them over the years. Josh said "this is not something they do" I want the owners to call me and explain how this person is allowed to answer a telephone at their company. Reading other reviews I guess a person named Adam is just as bad. read more

Unfortunately I had a problem on a pair of speakers that had a dinged cone and didn't really match each other. I contacte Madisound and Brian was a pleasure to deal with and I just received the replacements. The new set look alike and I really wanted to state here how pleased I am with Madisound. Folks, it is time to stop dreaming and begin the realization phase of listening. The Fostex BK-20 Cabinet kit when outfitted with the upgrade to Fostex FE208EZ 8" Full Range Sigma Series and added super tweeter Fostex T90A produce the sound that you dream of and can have at a decent price. The bass from the front facing full range driver is crystal clear, but the output from the folded horn is Phenomenal. The overall range of the Sigma and clarity challenge all production speakers in most of our affordable budgets. The build is simple if you take it slow and fit each piece of the labyrinth in one at a time and glue to one side and then stabilize with the other side-dry to make sure you have no misalignment. Paired with a high end commercial speaker, they give you the ultimate in listening pleasure and reality. I highly recommend this speaker, and you can stop listening to the opinions on eBay and of commercial ads. These are for real, and sheer pleasure. Bernie read more

Five Stars! I'm a big fan of Madisound. An owner, Adam Johnson, is completely honest, deeply knowledgeable and very helpful. I've dealt with Madisound since 2014, and, if they have what I need, I order from them. In addition to Adam's merits, Madisound's prices for parts are better than I've found elsewhere. My first Linkwitz/Madisound project was the LXmini speaker system; I bought the drivers, DSP and wood parts from Madisound. I'm now adding the LXsub4, which is a dipole woofer system; it will replace an 18" Velodyne servoed sub. As before, I bought drivers, DSP and wood parts from Madisound. LXmini + LXsub4 = LXstudio. If you're not familiar with Linkwitz Lab and Siegfried Linkwitz's superb, world-class loudspeakers, you can peruse his extensive and educational site at: https://www.linkwitzlab.com. As far as I know, Madisound is one of only two sources of kits for Linkwitz speaker systems on the planet, and the other is in Germany. Adam is the Linkwitz expert at Madisound. Unless you're a cabinet maker and want the project, I highly recommend the flatpacks for both the LXmini and LXsub4. The sub4 flatpack is tongue and grove and is very precise. Order came on time. When I asked for help with my build, they transferred me to Adam, who yelled at me over the phone, and offered little help. Offering to send me a return label (after I've started building a speaker kit, and invested more money in pieces at the local hardware store, not to mention hours of my time) was as good as it got. And that offer was out of anger, as he was obviously getting frustrated with having to talk to me. I expected better customer service after handing them $700+ Long story short. If you liked to get yelled at just tell them you have a defective product. There is NO reason for any fault, never a manufacturing defect, its always our fault. Adam would not even listen to what was found nor look at pictures, just went crazy before even asking me what I wanted. Didn't want much, almost placed a replacement order without asking however, thought I should ask. Since getting yelled at I left a message and will see where it goes however thought I'd share my experience. read more

I was humble and kind to him and I have a witness who heard the entire conversation..he tried to discourage me because I wanted to make my own crossover and it pissed him off that I decided to be creative, I made a decision to learn and dig deeper into this portion of the hobby.. he was pissed off because he didn't make the crossover for me$$$. I thought this was a DIY business? He went against everything Madisound stands for. PartsExpress never treats their customers like this.. I am appalled by this behavior that I had to warn future hobbyist. I bought several items from them too. If you are going to talk to someone from Madisound Brain was a gentleman.
