After a Servpro demolition team throughout all the damaged furniture, carpets, wall boards and wall insulation and treated for mold, I started looking to hire a construction company to rebuild: insulation, wall boards, damaged sub flooring, plastering, painting, flooring, and the damaged baseboard heating. Using Yelp and Angie I requested a work proposal and cost estimate from 6 contractors, half of which never got back to me. LB Special Projects owner took time with me to explain the work to be done and answer all my questions. It was clear that he knew his business down to as much details as I wanted to know. His company went beyond the work I requested because they have a high standard of quality. They know you'll be living with the work they do. It's apparent from other reviews that this is a 5 star company. I would add that everyone that worked on restoring my house: carpenters, plumbers, electricians did their work to the same high standard, and were open and helpful to answering my questions I will continue to recommend this company and call upon them for any projects I want done in the future

I had a very disappointing experience with North Shore Exterior Experts while trying to obtain an…read moreestimate for a siding project. I scheduled an appointment with their sales representative, Brian Kelly, and set aside time to meet with him at my home. One of the first things he wanted to discuss was replacing my roof, even though I had contacted the company specifically about siding. When I explained that I wanted to focus on the siding project, his demeanor noticeably changed. He became very quiet, and the remainder of the appointment felt uncomfortable. Brian told me I would receive the siding estimate by Friday. Friday came and I received nothing. I followed up by text and received no response. After spending additional time following up with the company, I was finally told they would not be providing an estimate at all because they cannot fit the project into their schedule this year. During that conversation, I was also told that I apparently wanted the siding done "yesterday." I found that comment unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I never asked for the project to be completed immediately. I simply expected the estimate I was told I would receive. I completely understand a contractor being booked for the season. What I don't understand is why the company accepted the appointment, sent a representative to my home, spent time discussing the project, promised an estimate by Friday, and then had me spend the following week trying to obtain it--only to ultimately tell me they had no intention of quoting the project because they couldn't schedule it this year. If the company did not have capacity for additional siding projects this year, that should have been communicated before scheduling the appointment. A simple conversation about availability would have saved everyone's time. Between the uncomfortable sales appointment, the attempt to shift the conversation toward a roof replacement, the lack of follow-through, the unanswered message, the dismissive comment when I followed up, and ultimately refusing to provide the promised estimate, the entire experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend North Shore Exterior Experts.

Brian was extremely prompt. He was on time for the initial quote, on time when he said he was coming over to drop off samples, and he and his crew were even a bit early on both days of work required to complete the roof. Brian was extremely patient and helpful throughout the process, answering all of my questions, and taking the time to get on the roof himself to take close up pictures to show me the issues that we had so that I was better educated. We needed to have the entire roof replaced, and Brian told us it would take one day, possibly two worst case scenario. Turns out out roof was not properly vented and so we had FORTY sheets if plywood that needed to be replaced. Had it not been for that extreme amount of additional work, I am certain they would have finished in one day. Both days the weather outside was approximately 15 degrees, but that didn't stop him or his crew. They were at the house by 7:30 AM (on Saturday and Sunday), and didn't leave till after the sun went down the first day. Very hard working, cleaned up after themselves each day as immaculately as you could hope a roofing crew to. We had the roof done in early November, and there has not been an issue yet, so I haven't had to call Brian back to fix anything (though given our experience up till now, I have no doubt he would make it right back out here). All told, it was an extremely pleasant process working with Brian and his crew, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who would listen. I would not recommend to hire FRG to do your flat rubber roof!!!…read more In summer 2023 FRG came to redo the roof drain cap which was never installed properly at the first place by them back in Feb 2019. The roof has leaked every year since then and had 3-4 repairs. In April 2024, the roof drain clogged again(we have no trees around). The roof rain water seeped through under the roof drain compression ring, then flew down to the outside the drain pipe directly into the first floor bathroom wall and the basement floor. Fabio blame the leak caused by the drain pipe itself, not the roof. The drain pile has no integrity issue simply because after the roof drain debris cleared, the water leak has not occurred unless there is a heavy rain. And this only happened after FRG reinstalled the drain cover in summer of 2023. He did not apply for the building permit for this job either. To make the situation even worse, Fabio send me a $600+ bill for climbing up to the roof to check the leak and clearing the roof debris showed in the photo. But the roof leak is not fixed! I am a 30+ year real estate professional and have referred him a few jobs in the past. Sorry Fabio, not a job end up like this. What a nightmare.
