I found this out because Macy's sent it back to me in a package that just arrived today, with a note saying that I attempted to return it to Macy's, which I did not. My package was clearly sealed and labeled, and had the printed slip on the inside. But now that I have the package back, it's too late to send back for a refund. I know there's nothing that can be done about it now, but I'm honestly confused as to how a package clearly labeled for returns to one major chain ended up sent through a completely different company's return system. And now I can't get that money back. The Pleasant Street staff are nice and I don't want to be *that* customer, but please do better in the future.

There was a sign saying to take all pre-packaged and pre-labeled packages to the Walgreen's in Northampton, about a half hour away. I wasn't in dire need of the quote, so I went home. But it sounds like the Walgreens is just a drop-off point; in other words, I wouldn't be able to a quote there. The nearest office where I could do that is almost an hour away in another state! Why the heck did they close this office? All I know is, the U. S. Post Office can take care of me very nicely for a fraction of the cost. Yay USPS!

I didn't have the original packaging, so they wrapped it in 3 layers of bubble wrap, built a box around that and wrapped THAT in several more layers of bubble wrap liberally securing it with about three rolls of packing tape per layer, (Another slight exaggeration). It did take me about 15 minutes to get it unpacked and it was in perfect condition. this was a legacy from my sister who passed away so it was a lot more important to me than just a sound system and I was very grateful they did such a great job. Given all the work, supplies, and the high cost of shipping anything, I thought their prices were very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

The dispatch person and driver who picked up the items went the extra mile to pick up in what turned out to be a driveway that big trucks can't access. Yet the driver made it happen. It's clear that these postal workers are working hard to keep up with the flow of mail regardless of the global situation and it is so appreciated. When you visit this location right now, expect all the normal services that you need along with some other additions like glass partitions to keep the workers safe and healthy. If you need hand sanitizer, just ask. They keep it behind the desk. Now on to the normal review. I've been using this post office now for over a year and I haven't had any issues. The employees are friendly and helpful. When I have issues or am confused about how to write out something, they are always really willing to help. This is the only post office within the city, I believe, so you may come here because of lack of choices, but you won't be disappointed.
