Good post office. They have a self serve priority mail station that i take full advantage of during the holiday season. The employees are a regular mix of semi-disgruntled people and cheery people that don't look like they've been ground down by the USPS procedures and protocols and procedures just yet. Large PO box room with new key style boxes . Tough to get a smaller box at this PO - the population is pretty high and there are a lot of businesses too/ officeparks. It seems that the lines here are always long and purely because they don't move quite all that fast ever. Especially during the busiest time of year. You are better off doing the postage at home and dropping it here. If you are just doing envelopes, you can stay in your car and use one of the many boxes outside but they only have smaller slits for the envelope sizes, no packages. read more

Worst customer service ever. I was speaking with a postal attendant over the phone for a package I had sent. I was worried that the package I sent was not going to arrive today (8/25/2021), because the scheduled date and time kept changing from 8/24/2021 to today 8/25/2021 w/ time changing from 10am - 2pm, to 2:15pm, then stated delivery by 9pm. I adv. the PA I was concerned that my package was not going to be delivered because of the constant change in time deliver. PA was VERY hostile, argumentative and would always talk over me & it was nearly impossible for me to get a word. I asked what the next step would be if the package was not delivered. The PA insisted that it will be delivered today and would not give me an answer. He did not give me an answer because 1. He is arrogant hostile person, 2. He doesn't care about customers & 3. This is a small town and generally I would write something positive. But Lordy- Dave at the counter couldn't be more further from being customer oriented and has a significant lack of friendliness. I don't expect a lot, how about a least a hello? How about a Thank You? How about speaking in sentences? Instead of one word grunts. I will give people the benefit of the doubt- I don't know what is going in his life- but he is representing the USPS and definitely living up to the stereotype. I love my mail carrier and appreciate the busy time of year - but a little courtesy would go a long long way. Shame on you USPS in Westborough for putting Dave at the counter. read more

Horrible wait times-never more then 2 people working. Today's wait went outside the doors 13 people deep at 1PM on a Tuesday. If you have the option of going to a different Post Office I would highly recommend it. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but this one is warranted. Have lived in the town of Westborough for 20 years now, this is the Postal Office that I visit, I can say there 2 employees that are courteous, one in particular Dave, should retire, he is grumpy and rude, a few others should follow. When I'm standing in line I'm praying that i don't get them, put then i think, i pay for there salaries with my taxes, they should treat customers better or find another job. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews about the people at the Westborough post office. I've lived in Westborough for ten years and I've never had a bad experience. In fact, they were incredibly helpful when the town changed my house number. My mail could have bounced all over the place if the postal carrier wasn't so diligent. They've also been completely reliable during the pandemic, which means the world to me. If I have any complaint, it's with the automated system that makes it hard to call the post office directly. I understand that it's meant to offload the staff at the post office, but it can be frustrating if your question doesn't specifically match the menu. But that's not the fault of the Westborough post office staff. read more

Previous review by brought back memories. During Christmas holidays, it is an absolutely awful time to renew passports, which I tried to do in advance as we were doing some overseas travel that summer. Same associate mentioned by previous poster is only one authorized there to renew passports. Seems when it came to renewing our young daughter's passport, he gave us information piece meal in several visits rather than telling us what we needed to know in one visit. Line moved along very slowly even though there were quite a few people wanting U S Passport service. USPS at that location seemed more interested in getting people wanting one stamp served. When we returned on one occasion, he seemed to look at us as if we were the fly he didn't want in his ointment. To be fair, the problems we had renewing her passport had more to do with the State Department than the Westborough Post Office, but we eventually were able to renew it. When I came back to renew mine, he wasn't that bad & I got it quickly the first time around. I give this branch of the USPS an average rating. read more

I've used this location for years & got to know the counter people. No one knows the abuse they take from the public when you're not there. I'm always treated with respect, friendliness & expediency. I can make them smile with a funny phrase or a compliment out of the blue if thats what's needed when I don't see any smiles. Patrons take their bad days out on the people behind the counter. You prob'ly won't see that happen, but it happens alot. Dave keeps his smile in his pocket, but its there if you gave a compliment once in awhile, even if its a struggle to do so. Working the public is a thankless job, add the pandemic, short staffing, standing for 7 hours, combating personal problems, disgruntled patrons & morning smiles wane quickly. If you want a smile & friendly greeting, go meet the ice cream truck when you hear their tune. Try Initiating a smile or a kind word & don't expect anything. But you will have made a difference to someone who may need it...just like you do. read more

I feel like I've held back on posting a poor review for a while now to give the Westboro USPS the benefit of the doubt, but I've really had it with the incompetence I've experienced with my mail. I consistently get mail for other addresses, which I then return to the USPS. I also consistently get mail for the tenant who lived here prior to me, despite having explained to the USPS that he no longer lives here. Tonight, I received my excise tax, which is due today. The bill was issued at the beginning of February and conveniently delivered to me on the date it is due, a month later. The envelope had been entirely torn open on one end and the bill and envelope had water damage/dirt all over it. I understand that mail sometimes gets mixed up, but at least have the courtesy to attach a note/sticker apologizing for the mishap, like other reputable USPS locations do. This really is unacceptable and with the amount of mail I receive for other locations, it makes me wonder where my mail is ending up. read more
