There does not appear to be a street side mail box, so I went inside to post some letters. There are a lot of PO boxes at this location. There are mail slots for letters/flats and packages in the lobby as well as vending machines for postage. A customer service office is off the lobby as well. The entrance to the building is down a few steps from the sidewalk.

The staff is knowledgeable about everything from mailing packages to renewing passports. I did have some difficulty finding the entrance. The address of this post office is 820 Elmwood Avenue, but you can't enter from Elmwood. The entrance & exit are actually on Cadillac Drive. I had to circle the block to figure it out, but now I know for the future. This seems like a busy post office, so keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. You may have to wait in line for a few minutes.

You can tell she is very busy and does a lot on her own and I commend that. This is for sure an older building and I think it's super cool. They have parking in the front (street) and parking In the back with a ramp for wheelchairs. The line was very short and I enjoyed this location. A mix of old wooden PO Boxes and new metal ones are available in the lobby. It's a small space but they manage to fit a lot in. I mailed a package from here and kept the receipt to track delivery. Just a normal package, no special instructions. But the package never showed it had left the building. I filed a missing package report through the USPS website and about a week later our mailman showed up with the box saying it needs postage. I took the package and receipt back to this post office and the clerk (a different one) put new postage on it at no cost to me. Both clerks were very nice. We think the label used first time was torn off in the sorting process. A smaller label was used this time so we should be good.

The staff was very friendly & helpful, although some of the equipment might need some upgrading. It seemed like the mechanism for printing money orders got jammed & took some time to spit out my rent check. No matter, the very friendly employee was good company while we waited. After boxing it up, I went up to the desk and she rang me up as double the price when I asked her why she had told me $11.55, she said she did not know that I was putting my sneakers in that box. She proceeded to argue with me rather than just brushing it off as a mistake. I don't understand why you have confrontational people working for you. I'd rather pay more with FedEx or UPS and not deal with this broad again. Her coworker was clearly aggravated with her as well for her demeanor and attitude. Also, telling people they look like a "sexy Santa" isn't a compliment. Maybe don't tell your customers that and keep it professional.
