Having spent over 50 years in business, the Upland Post Office is perhaps the most poorly run organization I have ever encountered. They could care less whether they help you and if there is a real problem they just can't wait to brush you off. For the past year plus we have been dealing with a problem of stolen mail. I have gone to the PO more than a dozen times to complain about this problem, but they are uninterested. The Postmaster is never there and NEVER calls when I leave a message. Calling the PO is a waste of time as they do not answer the phone and it simply rings until someone picks it up and then immediately hangs up. One of the carriers has confided in us that someone has a MASTER KEY to the cluster boxes and has been robbing them. The PO has failed to notify box holders that there is a problem and refuses to discuss it. As a result we had 18 account payable checks that simply disappeared when mailed from the cluster box at our location causing problems with our creditors and having to pay late charges. The staff at the PO moves so slowly that you're not sure if they are alive or not. If this was a business it would have gone out of business a long time ago. Complaints to the PO customer service number go nowhere as you never hear back from them. I have called the postal inspectors (Post Office Police) repeatedly with no results. As I type that I have now been on hold for the Postal Inspectors for 79 minutes and still no answer. IF THE POST OFFICE RAN CRIME, IT WOULDN'T PAY! I would rate them zero, but you can't! read more

We have had several out going and incoming mail issues this month alone! We have opened several cases against this post office because management and staff will not take responsibility for their mistakes. We recently had a package that says delivered and when we went to get it, nothing was there. We have a locked mailbox and only myself and the mail man have access. The upland supervisor jesus apparently states he spoke to me, ( he did not ) and I have called to escalate the case multiple times. We were told it's possible the mailman placed the package or the key in the wrong box, as the mail box is in one place for the entire complex. No word yet. This is absolutely ridiculous. Most of the people are nice, but there is a definite problem there to many horror stories, but as of the last month I mailed a check from the box outside that was never received. I have not received 2 checks. I have a PO Box so they don't have far to go. I had a package that said it arrived in a Tuesday and Friday it wasn't there. I went in and asked they tried to tell me it wasn't there but after I showed them the delivery receipt they found it. I was told don't put checks in the box outside because people steal mail. Well then take it out or put a notice up. Most of all they just don't care. read more

Have so many issues with lost item's and when I acquire about them they seem to not know anything. I wish when I order online they would say the the post office does the delivery that why I can just go to the store and buy it that way I know I'll get it. read more

First of all, I lived in Upland for over 10 years. I have had three different addresses and never once had problems with mail transfer until I moved back to Ontario last month. I completed a family mail transfer for both me and my son and I turned it in physically to the Upland post office on August 8. I received a mail confirmation of mail transfer for me August 11. I didn't receive any mail transfer but I noticed my son has gotten two transferred pieces of mail. Well I went to the Upland PO of where one guy told me it takes time to transfer. This was going on two weeks. I went back another week before I left my former apartment and a different postal worker was rude and told me they dont hold mail and I got to be patient and wait. It is now going into a month so I called the number on the confirmation notice and after an hour I spoke with Michele who informed me the address was wrong and it should have been caught by upland. Well I got a phone that same day on September 9 from Upland post office who now says they will correct the apartment number from 45 to 48 and my mail should be delivered within 48 to 72 hours. On September 16 I went back to Upland post office with my confiemation and the worker comes out and says it was corrected that day. Ok. I get a phone call from some lady from upland post office who did not announce who she was but immediately accused me of putting the wrong address down and she has copies. And she says since YOU made the mistake we now will take an additional three weeks to deliver your mail. When mistakes are made she says it takes weeks to fix them and she accused me of causing a problem for the post office transfer when I called the Tennesee main office to investigate why there was such a delay. This woman was rude and condescending and accused me of causing problems and for that I have to now wait three weeks because according to her mistakes are not made by computers but by the people filling out the request. But funny how my son got two pieces of mail so I feel she was just being rude because Upland PO was wrong. read more

USPS CONSUMER AFFAIRS: 714-662-6215. This post office has fallen (and continues to fall) short many times with mail holds that are either ignored or not delivered upon completion, package deliveries saying our business was closed when we were here (and then not delivering the next day until I went down to the post office), and NEVER PICKING UP THE PHONE. The number rings 15 times until it disconnects. It's really a shame that there are such persistent issues with this local USPS. These issues have gotten worse in the past 3 or 4 years. The people are friendly enough, but I would rather have a grouchy post office that delivers the mail as required, than one a lovable one who doesn't "deliver" on their responsibility. read more

My letter carrier routinely fails to pick up our outgoing mail; I've found our rent check crammed down in the bottom of the mailbox, buried under delivered mail, red flag pushed down, and with the shape of our mailbox it ISN'T POSSIBLE to not see that there's outgoing. They ignored all my ex-roommates' change of addresses/forwards; I STILL get mail for the guy who's been gone for years, after multiple requests to stop delivering to me. Trying to call the post office results in a wasted day; I recently started calling right when they opened, the phone rang so long their system just booted me. I proceeded to hit redial every time I was booted, until I had to leave for work (THREE HOURS!). read more

Well, what can I say about this place. Terrible....TERRIBLE service! Unfortunately, I am stuck with them getting my mail for the next two months until I move up north. Ever since I moved to Upland I was supposed to receive mail from Homeland Security, DMV, and UC Davis, and most of it was sent back, instead of mailed to me. So one day I called the DMV to ask why my license had not arrived yet after over a month of waiting, and they told me they mailed it to me, according to them it arrived at my apartment, and then it was sent back to the DMV because I apparently did not live in my apartment. So what really happened was, the mailman put my mail in the wrong mailbox, and that person sent it back. So I decided to complain. I called, no one answered (what a surprise). On my way to the post office to complain, I ran into the mailman, told him what happened, and he blamed it on the people at the office. He said they never answer the phone, and blah blah blah. But he didn't really have an answer to why this was happening other than "Uhhh....I dunno." So I go to the post office, and they blame it on the mailman. They said that when something gets returned, he is supposed to check before sending back to see if the person on the letter lives there or not, because there could be a typo on the address, which makes perfect sense. So the supervisor gave me a green form to fill out (which I already had a while back) letting them know who lives in my apartment (like that's going to change anything). While filling it out I told the guy I called but no one answered, as in trying to get an answer about why they don't pick up the phone, and all he can say was "mhm." Then I asked at what time I should call back if the issue continues, and he said to call before 10 A.M. He never apologized, never said "we'll try to fix the issue," nothing. Then I drove home, checked my mail, and I found a mail in my box that did not belong to me. According to the manager at my apt, the guy it was addressed to has not lived here for a LONG time. This is the 3rd time I get that guy's mail, and send it back. In the past I've received unemployment checks from other, and all sorts of things that did not belong to me. I use to wonder why the post office is in such financial trouble, and why experts seem to think that they'll be extinct in a year or two. Now I understand why. read more

I just moved to Upland and I'm sad to say that I agree with these complaints. I've been living in Upland for almost two weeks now and I haven't received any mail. I did the change of address before I moved and today is the 10th business day since my change of address should have taken effect. I haven't gotten any mail and I called them last week to check up on it and they said they would let the mailman know. Ok - three mail days later, still no mail. I call again today and they tell me they can't field this call until after 9 a.m. so I had to call back then. I call back at 9 a.m. and the phone just rings and rings.. I've been calling for an hour and a half and no one picks up. On top of that, I had ordered packages through Amazon and they are being sent back as undeliverable. One of them says that I didn't leave a change of address and the other one says it was an undeliverable addressed. I really don't know what to do here but it sucks. Welcome to Upland. read more

I have never had problems with a post office until now. This post office is constantly rejecting my mail even after I put in a forwarding address after I moved. NEGATIVE STAR RATING (-**) HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Avoid if at all possible. Tried submitting my passport docs 3 times on 3 different days. All three times, was told to come back because there were either 3 or 5 people ahead of me. So came back and was bluntly rejected because she was still very busy and couldn't take anyone else! Ridiculous! So then I asked why would you post on your website the hours for passport service and then not honor that. Supervisor had nothing else better to say but just 'sorry, there's nothing else I can do about it - the passport clerk has to leave at her scheduled time and if she takes more than she can process, then that means we'll have to pay for her to stay' He suggested I go to another post office and that's what I did. read more

Why is a bankrupt business paying for a phone it does not answer. Recently our business mail box was broken into. Aside from the stolen checks and credit cards and all the hassle of no Mail delivery for over a week, the supervisor at this branch was very clear this was not there problem. Worst post office you can ever use, they steal your packages and tell you I start a claim online saying you'll lose unless you had the package scanned with the receipt of drop off. Fortunately I have the receipts and started claims for all 7 packages. Now I just have to deal with my customers that ordered the items. Have had issues in the past calling and having them pick up the phone. The office is supposed to open at 8.30, and it is now 8:50. No note on either door explaining a delay in opening. You can hear several people in the back talking. Thank goodness they have a self help kiosk on the side. Dear postmaster general, can you create better accountability for your facilities? Please review your social media reviews on other sites as well, they mostly trend below average. On average your company should have at least a 4 star rating with 4 positive reviews for every 1 negative review. Your organization has some room for improvement. PS the office opened at 9:02 am and only had 12 people patiently waiting in line. One person was on his break from SACH and works critical care was stressed as he made it a point to be here when it opens at 8:30. PSS Christmas is over, take down the Holiday stamps banner. Recently went to the post office for a passport application. The associate was professional and attentive. I appreciates his professionalism and courtesy he extended to my family. Typical usps. Just go at the right hours because the line can be 20 ppl long or no line at all. I feel this review is unnecessary lol I've never had a bad experience at a postal place. I don't understand the low rating for upland postal service. I have been coming here for 10 years, I never had a problem and they are really quick for what they are doing. I don't understand how can people be upset with them , can you imagine all the different sizes , thickness on each mail and packages and try to sort through them with how many people living in upland?! I am VERY disappointed with this post office. I have been living in Upland for 14 years and have never had a problem until recently. A package was supposed to be delivered to my home on May 2.....it never arrived. I contacted a rep at the 1-800 # and this matter was escalated and sent to the supervisor. I was contacted by the supervisor and was told that the matter would be handled. A few days later the manager called me back and informed me that the carrier doesn't remember where he delivered the package. (??????) I'm not sure if the Postmaster of Upland is aware of these problems or just doesn't care. It's a shame that money is being wasted and not utilized to assist the public in the manner this post office was designed to do. (SIGH) Looks like I'll have to seek legal advice for this. read more

They lost my package and did not return my call, they do not answer their phones. They always look like they dont care about your complains, I go in often and see other people give their complaints and same expressions. you tell them and they act really numb like as if it happens often and daily. This was the first time this happens to me and i only order stuff like every 3 months. My recomendation is to make sure you get insurance when you send anything! this place sucks. unfortunately I live in Upland and have to deal with their horrible service. I filled a claim and went in person ofcourse there was no one to talk to, i was given a number to call which rings and rings 909-946-8134 supervisors name is Norman and if you cant get a hold of him there try calling 18002758777 USPS. The Item i bought was online it was through a third party in Amazon and since that guy didnt get insurance that package was a noshow. Upland marked it as delivered 8 days ago and I have not gotten word as to "where they delivered the item". Basically I am screwed....Good luck I hope this review helped. read more

Easily the most consistently terrible Post Office in Southern California. Not only are they incompetent, they're also rude about it. Where does one begin? They replaced our lockbox without telling anyone in the entire neighborhood about it, and even worse they didn't have the keys available to give to the neighborhood for nearly a week. Then, when you go to pick up your mail (certified letter in my case), they have no idea where it is. Furthermore, every time I get a small package from Amazon, the mail courtier can't seem to figure out how to properly use the community package receptacle. I will routinely unlock the package box with the key they left for me to find an empty locked box! or the wrong key that unlocks a different package box/receptacle. And forget about calling them to alleviate a problem. If they bother to answer, the response is not a helpful one... three times now I've been told I'd get a callback within a few minutes, so far I've gotten zero callbacks. Upland is a great city to live in, but those that demand reliable mail delivery BEWARE! I'm sad to admit that Colton, the city I used to live in, provides a much more reliable postal service. Perhaps if we privatized the mail delivery system, these issues wouldn't exist... another reason why Uncle Sam has no business forcing his "services" on us. read more
