Overall, I've had very positive experiences with this postal staff. It is the closest office to our home. It's got to be difficult to be patient when there are always grumpy people coming for help, but they've always been polite. The carrier that delivers our mail to our home is fantastic. He has gone above and beyond his duty to help us out a few times. While we wish him all the best, we are sad that he's decided to retire. Review of USPS Package Pickup Wait Time - 1099 S Pantano Rd, Tucson, AZ At the S Pantano Rd USPS location, package pickup is managed through a closed Dutch door that only a manager operates. Because there is no window or peephole, the manager opens the top half if they notice someone waiting. Each customer interaction follows the same pattern: the manager listens briefly, then closes the door while going to locate the package. During this time, the customer being helped must wait, and the process repeats for each person. This suggests that packages may not be organized for efficient retrieval. During one visit, I waited behind three customers, and the process took about 20 minutes wait time, 10 minutes being waited upon. Yesterday (12/15/2025), I received a pickup slip but chose not to wait in line, leaving the slip for another day because of the anticipated 20-30 minute delay. Previously (over a year ago), package pickups were handled in the main post office area, alongside services such as purchasing stamps and mailing parcels. Requested twice over two weeks to have my mail in my primary mailbox to be forwarded to our second home and twice they said they would retrieve it and forward it. It was supposed to be forwarded by their system but had slipped by their system and some mail keeps going to my former address and some is being forwarded. So far about 15 first class letters and bills and correspondence from the federal government is stuck in my primary mailbox. Now when I call any post office in Tucson all calls go to the operator who doesn't answer after 20 rings. A primary example of government inefficiency and poor customer service. This post office seems to not be run very well. During the holidays I'm sure they are dealing with cranky folks, but they sure are rude and nasty themselves. There's no signage outside to tell you where to go depending on what you're there for. There's just a giant (totally expected) line and an occasional employee walking out screaming at people as if we can read minds. There are different lines depending on if you're picking up or dropping off FYI. While I was waiting to pick up items on multiple days, various employees were pretty much the same. Rude, unfriendly, and condescending. I am a front line worker myself, and Covid sucks, but it doesn't constitute treating people poorly! read more

I've called 7 times, just to have the phone picked up to then immediately put back down 3 times, put on hold 2 times until the line disconnected, the phone was left to ring once, and the final time someone responded and didn't really listen to what the issue was nor did they actually help. Huge complaint about our mail carrier. He constantly leaves notes in our box stating that he does not have enough room to drive up to the mailbox. Yet, we have him on video having no problem doing so. I go out of my way to make sure there is room. I have even spoke to my neighbors and asked them not to park too close to our mailbox. He also broke our mailbox and then denied it. We have video of him bringing the broken mailbox to our front door. The customer service is just as bad. They refuse to email. They actually have the gall to demand that I go to the post office and wait in their lines to show them videos of the lying mail carrier. It can be easily sent via email. I asked them to email because I usually can't get to the phone. But they refuse to email, instead they call and leave messages. When I try to call back, it is busy every single time. This post office is a joke. A package was supposed to be delivered Sun the 18th. It was not, so I immediately requested redelivery. Never came. After 1 visit to the location, 10 phone calls, and 3 service requests, I still haven't received my package; this is over a week and a half, now. All I get is the runaround; I've been told twice it would be coming the next day and hasn't, then I'm told my service request will be re-escalated, no one gets back to me...customer service is completely unacceptable. read more

This is a pretty standard Post Office. The lines can get long -- out the door kind of long -- and tedious. Probably because there's usually only two postal employees working behind the counter. Oh, and the fact that people don't know how to follow simple rules. You know, like writing your recipient's address on the box BEFORE your turn in the line. How silly would that be?! *sigh* As much as I hate to say it because it has taken away jobs for people, the automated machine is a life saver sometimes. It's never usually busy, and I can get 99% of my mailing done at it. The parking lot also gets hectic. Be careful backing up when leaving because people tend to dart into this lot. Pantano is usually very busy, so people shoot into the lot at their earliest (not safest) opportunity. This location is also the best that I've seen at keeping their Priority Mail boxes/envelopes stocked up. This is really helpful, because I basically only ever use the flat rate boxes, and other post office locations that we go to always seem to be out of them. I live up in Phoenix, but travel to Tucson quite a bit. I couldn't of been more happy with the experience I had last Friday at the post office, specifically this location in Tucson. They had a self-service machine in the lobby, as well as tons of supplies, and especially postal employees that could not of been kinder! The station in Phoenix near my home could take extreme notice of how this location in Tucson conducts its interactions with the public. They could not been more helpful with me, as I had to purchase extra boxes and other supplies to complete the necessary mailing experience. It was also amazing to see how these employees took extra time to give TLC to all of the customers, and it was obvious that they knew many of these people for years-as evidence by the fact they all called each other by name. Yeah, there were no obscene lines and nobody was frustrated. Everything went really smoothly. Can't thank them enough!!!! read more

This is a pretty standard Post Office. The employees are helpful and the wait is usually minimal unless you're going the week before Christmas or something like that. They've got mailing supplies for sale as well as free Flat Rate boxes in the lobby. The self service kiosk has come in handy more than once. The parking lot can sometimes get full! read more

Two workers (photo) were holding my priority package for a few days. They took my package from me to ship, but they never scanned it. They never plan to ship my package. I was worrying, because it was no tracking information about my package... after 48 hours, nothing :-( So I came today to the post office. And...Can you imagine? My package was STILL THERE... after 20 minutes they found my package still sitting at the post office Don't trust those people. I can't imagine what would happened if I would never check out where is my package... they were going to keep it... they weren't going to contact me, ship back etc They tried to lie... that package should weight exactly 5lb like label shows... blah blah blah..and kine was too light! I never heard something more stupid! The postage and fees are paid for light box 5lb or less... those 2 workers have no knowledge about their job... And...next lie: if really would be something wrong with weight etc they could send me back? Right? It was my address on the box .. but they were holding... hoping I would never come back to this post office . ( I live in different town) Of course package was made correct. I never had problems with shipping those packages. US postage paid, because it was poshmark prepaid label. Package was in correct box weight about 2lb ( 5lb max) But they're going to keep my package for themselves... so sad :-( I was a victim because in their opinion I don't speak English well. I have lived at my current address (85730) for four years now and I have had to write an email to the post office customer service at least 10 times because the mail carrier CONSTANTLY doesn't pick up my packages (package pick up service). It is extremely frustrating when I go to work and then come home and all of my ebay packages are still sitting on the porch. All I get is "sorry," and lame excuses. Why are so many post office's package drop bin broken in Tucson or are they doing that for Covid - I already had postage on my package and I was just dropping off but there was a Crazy long line with rude bossy people - I asked where is the drop off for packages with postage and like 3 people said "You have to wait in line!!!" If only you could give them less than one star. My fiancé and I dropped off 100 wedding invitations at the counter to one of the men working. We went back 4 times before we finally gave up. It's not like one or two got lost in the mail. Not a single person received our wedding invitations. THEY NEVER GOT SENT OUT! of course, they will never admit that. The final time we went back to ask for them to look for the invitations or just do something, the guys was condescending and rude. The service here is so hit and miss. The postmaster is unreliable and never gets back to you when he promises he will. I do see the attempt of many of the clerks trying to present a good and cheerful face in what appears to be a fairly ugly working environment. I've been standing in front of a clerk seen a supervisor walking behind whispering negativity and insults while the clerk is trying to do their jobs. Super rude staff. Lady was pregnant waiting for her package behind the door, woman who worked there yelled at her for standing too close. Pregnant woman was polite and backed up. 2 minutes later, worker came out of that same door, slamming it open.. Seemed like she was trying to make a point to back up or she would've gotten hit... HARD. I don't understand the logic behind that, so rude and seemed intentional to hit her. The Rincon Postal delivery employees that service the 11200 through 11400 address on East Golf Links Rd are horrible, they leave packages on the dirt next to boxes and also don't put packages on the porch , instead dump them in front of the garage. Leslie was complaining about smelling lotion and how it makes her sick etc. None of her coworkers wer acknowledging her since they were with customers. Then she goes over to one of them employees and asks, if they put lotion on. The employee told her no, walks away comes back and starts complaining about the smell AGAIN. Initially Leslie was NOT wearing a mask, maybe that would've helped. I'm sure there's all types of customers coming in and out of the post office. If she so sensitive to smell, maybe she shouldn't be working there. I don't know if she smelled me, because I had just put lotion on prior to visiting. In general she made me feel so uncomfortable, other customer's were shaking their heads. The gentleman that ended up helping me apologized for her unprofessional behavior. read more

Let's begin with a note that was left by the mail carrier who didn't specify which location I had to pick up my package from... After calling to determine which post office it was at I proceeded to pick it up. Once I arrived I was rudely directed to what was the beginning of the line. Let me just say that there's no sign to indicate what the beginning of the line is. Luckily my wait time wasn't long, but the postal worker who asked me to come up didn't even give me direct eye contact when calling me up. I was confused as to if she was talking to me or another gentleman right next to me. I'll end off on a negative review for this place... bottom line... poor customer service for people who deal with the public on a regular basis. NEVER AGAIN. EXPOSED! Bro. First off Leslie is the best worker here. Ok. Period. She is the dirty blonde older woman who is working under a crazy boss. Not the woman with short curly blonde hair she is not it. There is another woman though that has dark brown straight hair she is not your friend trust me. Me and my roommate just moved here and unfortunately our mailbox had been broken at our apartment complex so we weren't able to get our mail. All of it was being held at the Rincon Post office. After several attempts to find the correct post office after being mislead twice. We get to the post office at 4:45. Yes this is late but the hours for these buildings never seem to suit a modern day workers schedule. We get to the front desk and talk to Leslie. Tell her about the recent move and our trouble locating our mail. She gave us an address change slip and another slip to establish our address. So I'd had been expecting an Amazon package of room decor for my bedroom; thus, I'd been eager and tracked my package. I knew it was here. Leslie leaves for a bit and comes back. She then tells me that my package is in the "Return to Sender" pile and that she doesn't have access to it. She tells us that we will have to speak with a woman about it, so we were directed to wait at the blue window. This is the blue window of doom. Nothing good can come from it. I warn any fellow individual to proceed with caution if you ever have to go to the blue window. It is on the right hand wall, looks like a door just before the room where the front desk is. This blue window is we're things took a turn for the worst. Leslie told us that the woman we were about to speak to was going to be stubborn about finding our package and that we needed to tell her that it is in the "Return to Senders" pile. Leslie told me that my package was indeed there but that she will say it's not and to come back to her if she doesn't give it to us. Meanwhile we are waiting by the blue window. Then it opens. The woman with Dark brown hair appears. She says in a high pitched "i don't care about you voice" that the package has been sent back and that it was because our mail slot was vacant. But our mail slot was vacant because the box is broken and the driver won't pick up the slips. Not our fault. I then said "well the woman that help us told me the package was in the return to sender pile. She the says no it's already been sent back. I said "yeah the woman up front told me this would happen too. She responded with the same thing only an even more "i don't care about you tone" and then said sorry have a good day and closed the door in our face. We get back in line and I start to cry and shake. It had been a long day with many disappointments from places just like this and that was the cherry on top. The energy in this post office was tense as everyone knew I was stressed and had been dipped by this system. We get to Leslies counter again and she said. "It's ok I knew this would happen. I'll go get your package" 2 minutes later she comes back with my package and sends me off. As I'm writing this I'm realizing that this is probably just one of the many instances that the customers or the employees with less authority have to go the extra mile just to do what is right under a system that is wrong. He ships and insures this package with the United States Post Office. $100 and some odd change for $500 insurance and shipping. Cool. He is a good kid. Well the clock arrives and it looks as if Ndamukong Suh delivered it with a foot stomp to the fragile sticker. I guess it's what he does in the off season from the Lions. So we walk into this post office on 22nd and Pantano, wait in line, get to the next available window and...wait for it... The person that does the insurance claims is on vacation for two weeks. I have only ten days to make this claim because I needed receipts from Germany. Are you serious? Only one person at this branch does the insurance claims? This office is always super busy with 7+people waiting in line and only 1-2 employees behind the counter. I just moved into my new home and had already put in a change of address but I'm still not getting the mail that I see in my informed delivery. I just moved into my new house and have had nothing but issues with this post office. They claimed to have "attempted" delivery both times I was home waiting for my package. Did not receive a knock or doorbell ring, they just put the note on my door and left. Entered the post office today at 4:45 was greeted by the manager where he expressed he would be able to get a package out by six there last guaranteed delivery before Christmas.They stop letting people into the actual building 15 minutes before they were closed because the line was so long that at 5 o'clock we expressed how many people had were there before 5 o'clock and still we're outside the building and the manager told us to use the kiosk and he would make sure that every package got out after waiting for another hour now 540 my package will not get out the manager is a complete *sshole about it.
