I went in…read morelast week, and somehow 3 PM on Thursdays is not working hours (couldn't get a refund on PO Box, because the "manager" had left early). Went in the next day, well, they couldn't give me a cash refund, I had to take a "money order." Okay, another trip to the bank because post office employees are incompetent. Seems like they have let go of the only friendly employee that they had, and have hired another rude employee. Looks like this post office location is intent on letting you know that they really, really don't care about their customers. Good job on turning public opinion against postal service, when you desperately need voter support!

The prices are based on the weight of the item and the distance they have to travel. Just like UPS and FedEx. The post office is also invaluable because they will deliver anywhere, quite literally. Sometimes UPS and FedEx will hand packages off to the USPS for final delivery because it's an area they don't go to. They also have cute holiday stamps!

She proceeds to choose 2 day shipping (that arrived over a week late) with an oversized envelope. It should have cost $7-$8, but it cost me $12. A few days later, I have 8 Christmas cards to mail. I go in for 8 stamps, and she tells me (same woman) that I can only buy them in books of 20. The "old crew" was much nicer and helpful.

It's very convenient for me to go there at 8 weekday mornings. I mail a lot of packages and this works great for me. I know the morning clerks abd they're efficient and friendly but usually only one on at a time when they open so it can back up a little. Usually not bad, though. Love having this less than 10 minutes away with their early morning hours!
