Below is my original review. After I wrote this review another mail truck pulled up to my neighbor's house and I went out to inquire about the package that has been delayed twice and for some reason the message from Amazon earlier was there was an attempt and they would try again?? There was no attempt I noticed as no one came to the door and nothing in the mailbox (the package was dog vitamins so no signature required thus the inspiration for this original review). After I gave the patient mailman an earful and he was polite to hear me out, he left and about an hour or less later he came back with my package and personally delivered it to my address. Now that is impressive! He said he was actually a supervisor out helping out on the route. I wished I would have asked for his name but he was excellent and made up for the bad experience of a twice delayed package. That is service at its best and I can't say enough about how great that truly is!! If you continue on and read my original review, it shows how I felt like the USPS has completely disintegrated into an almost useless Albatros and the original star rating was 1 star. Now its 5 stars because of that man who heard me out and actually went the extra mile literally to take care of the issue. Thank you Sierra Vista post office supervisor!!! ORIGINAL FRUSTRATED REVIEW: There aren't words to describe how horrible the mail service has been for the past year. Try calling either the local number or the national post office number and you will get only a waste of your time and nothing more. Its a total joke. The automated national system won't take a tracking number despite asking for it and then will not put you through to an agent without one. Locally there is a lengthy voice message about hours, passport info when it does final start to ring no one answers and eventually will time out with a fast busy signal. I had a pkg I was waiting for two weeks and there was a minor mistake on the address. So instead of the p.o. Holding it for a day or two so the recipient could come down and get it. They returned it immediately. My phone number was on the address. Seems rather un customer service oriented and also hostile. Even in a big city like phoenix the local post office would have given a few days. You suck SV post office. You really do not serve your community. read more

This post office can get busy at times, and the staff works efficiently to accommodate all customers. Customers just need to remember to be patient and understand the employees are doing their job as this job has many federal laws they have to obeyed by. Your missed deadline does not constitute a hurry on them. read more

We always can count on our USPS drivers. They are friendly and courteous. And the postal service as well. Waiting for heart procedure to prevent fainting has it impossible for me to go out long in stores or public. Stressful and triggers SVT so highly recommend and thank our local USPS workers. During Covid and all you kept us all going. I've been social distancing since 9/2020 fighting Covid long. Appreciate all they do to deliver our packages and mail on time! read more

Awful customer service by Victor who felt quite comfortable to yell at me while the lobby was full of other customers all because I wanted to show the discrepancy in pricing from the usps.com website to the amount I was being charged. The manager present said absolutely nothing - not an apology to me or a correction to him. To add insult to injury, our package shows delivered 2 days ago, and they don't have it. It's lost somewhere, and no one knows where. UPS shows it delivered with a tracking number, so where is it? To think we're paying $200/yr to have Street Addressing Service and still our package is lost!! Terrible! But i guess no one in USPS really cares, so I'm venting. This was one of the best PO experiences in a long while for me. The fact that they were even open at all on a Saturday gets a least 4 stars! The office was well staffed and exceptionally friendly. When the teller couldn't confirm the 'send to' address on the box I was mailing in his computer, his supervisor told him very quickly to bypass that step to move on. This is the kind of service that most post offices gave some 40 years ago. Not so much today, unfortunately. read more

This post office is always busy BUT properly manned. This is the only post office in sierra vista aside from the one on post. I went early to drop off a package and there was already a line outside the door. With four cashiers helping out customers I only waited less than 30 minutes. Great experience! read more

Going to a post office is usually a dreadful event but this one is very different in my experience. Every time I go the line moves swiftly and everyone is very courteous. You can walk in to find a long line but they work hard to make it move quickly. Their supplies are stocked. They also have various gift cards comveniently available if you need a last minute gift. This place sucks. The only person who has any useful knowledge is a woman (not sure what her name is) but shes got a plethora of knowledge when it comes to tracking down missing packages. She certainly has the best customer service as well. Many of the employees seem confused or miserable. One of the slowest post offices that has ever been in operation, by far. Spent almost my husbands entire hour and a half lunch break trying to figure out where his package was , tracking wasnt right , even the location of the package was wrong, we received an email saying it was being held at the post office, when in reality it was in our mail box, it was a mess. I have been trying to get a package that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday Oct 9th,2020. It is now Oct 12th and still don't have it. The post office said it was out for delivery and never showed up. This Post Office is very disappointing. I hv never had so much difficult in getting packages and this. This review has been long awaited, every visit at this location, I'm met with sour attitude, uncertainty, rudeness, and unanswered concerns or questions, the two employees on this particular visit, 11/05/2022 were the two I've had the most problems with on every visit, the older male ( African American, Bald ) and the older female ( Caucasian, Mid-Length white hair ), unknown names due to hidden name tags, are probably the worst employees to be servicing the community of sierra vista, I'm always met with sour attitude, unfavorable responses to questions and concerns, the male in this review didn't even make eye contact with me, I came in 11/05/2022 around 11:13 AM to pick up a package that needed a signature prior to this day, unfortunately I was working, I hate this location and the service I have received EVERY visit, I have considered a corporate complaint just from what I have observed with these two and the way they talk to the sierra Vista folks, further more, UNLESS NECESSARY I WILL NOT BE IN HERE. read more

Incredibly incompitent or lazy. EVERY time a pkg is to come to the house "there was an issue". In the past it has taken them 6weeks to unscrew themselves. If the post office was self supporting they would go belly up. If you need it to be done right, fedex or ups. read more

Our postman lied to our face we was home a few times talked to him and he didn't tell us why we owed money the first time then said we wasn't home second time he came said we wasn't home he never ranged the door bell our dog never barked 3rd time he argued with us we want him gone. Been going there for 25 years and during that time have only had one negative experience from a clerk with a bad attitude. There is always one of those kind of people in every organization. I've lived in Sierra Vista/Ft. Huachuca for 17 years now. My brother & I befriended one of the clerks & got a better understanding as to why this PO is so small, in such a rotten location & difficult to get into. We were told the USPS conducts periodic assessments of POs based on population & access to other postal facilities within the area. The USPS believes this location does not warrant a new and/or larger location due to the proximity of the POs on Ft. Huachuca & in surrounding communities (Hereford, Huachuca City, etc.) Due to the lack of staff, wait times can be lengthy at this location. Most of the time the staff are well tempered if I approach them with a kind word. Having all your documents filled out prior to getting into line helps everyone, as well. I can't recall any damaged packages in the 12 years I've owned my home & love our postman. He's very friendly, delivers packages to our front door & loves playing with the neighbor's dog. Barkley literally drags his owner outside when he hears the postman's vehicle round the corner. I appreciate the employees, just not the bureaucracy that keeps them from being more efficient for their customers. read more

Worst post office EVER. I have never had so much mail lost or not delivered at all until I moved here. Our mail delivery woman is so lazy and never bothers to deliver anything that requires a signature to the door, but always changes the status to say that no one was home when she didnt even check! read more

By far one of the fastest moving post office lines I've seen on a Saturday! All were nice and helpful but definitely kept the line moving. I took away a star because I went into three different lines because of misleading information they were screaming out. read more

Yes, I would give this place negative stars, if it was possible. Today, while taking out my garbage, I found my undelivered, unopened, National Geographic magazine (from one month ago) on top of some leaves at my apartment's dumpster with a notice of an undelivered package awaiting for me at my apartment's office. This comes a week after I complained at my local post office that packages were not being delivered--I had to track them (three separate package with an average wait time of 30 minutes each=90 minutes total. . .so far) to find out that they were sitting at the post office for a week or two, without me ever receiving a notice. So, after a third time of undelivered mail, I went to the post office and issued a complaint. . . I didn't even complain about my torn apart, opened packages that I actually did receive. I have never had such consecutively bad post service in my entire life--and I am not young. WTF. Sierra Vista, AZ is a small town, so as a rather new resident (I relocated here two years ago), I rely on online shopping to get the things I want and need for my family. I was receiving regular service until about a month ago--now it seems I have some kind of demon service (or rather, non-service). Am I now supposed to track every package online or check my apartment dumpster to collect my mail? Is this some kind of USPS mafia that I need to tithe in order to get my mail? read more

The worst Post Office I've ever been too. Between 2007 and 2015 the only thing that has changed is the the price of postage. Lines are still long, the counter is typically undermanned. Go elsewhere if you have the option. read more
