It had been two years since I visited this post office, and it seemed much friendlier now! I was again mailing dirty clothes home and had them prepacked in Priority Flat Rate boxes. My boxes were quickly mailed and Peter (?) was chatty and efficient. I didn't need any supplies, but they were well stocked with boxes. Note that this post office has short hours: 9:30am to 3pm, and is closed Saturday. read more

If you are considering buying a house or condo here, you may be interested in my experience with the post office. I live out of state and my wife and I bought a house in the Village of Oak Creek to vacation at and to escape our harsh winters as we are getting older we think this may become our permanent residence when we retire. The selling agent lost our USPS mailbox key (the bank of USPS mailboxes are literally across the street from our new house). We have gone to the post office twice and have spoken to two different clerks (one was extremely rude) to get a replacement key. Each told us the only way they will give us a replacement key (even after speaking with their supervisor) is to fill out a change of address form and stop having mail sent to our house out of state, which is of course unacceptable in our situation. They will not budge and will not even give us our mail and packages that are currently in the USPS box across the street from our house, including prescription medications. We've been told by locals that the post office has taken it upon themselves to eliminate second homes and rentals (Air BNBs, etc.) in the Sedona area through this type of bullying. I wish I knew this before I bought. We are contacting a lawyer since they are holding our life saving prescription medications hostage. read more

I would like to say that I would have thought that the post office would look into this a little more. I now have missed my mail for the IRS the internal revenue service. These would have been my 1040 tax return for the year of 2020. Of which I have waited the full year to receive this piece of mail that is very important government documents as well as urgent. I want to say Dawn, Cliff, and Lisa give extremely poor customer service. They are careless and neglect the customers needs. I would not recommend this post office to anybody. It's pretty sad that in such a nice city who's locals are all kind, that the town post office is egregious. I called in and spoke to what I then came to find out was the manager Dawn. Dawn's decorum and comport are horrific. She is rude, condescending and interrupts you every chance she can while you try to ask her anything or explain anything. Truly a shame, since you are a public servant and are supposed to help and serve customers. Shame on you, if you hate your job so much maybe find another one? Customers shouldn't be subjected to your abusive, rude, and humiliating tone. Do better. read more

While staying here in Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek with a friend and house sitting I had a delivery sent to me. The postal lady took it upon herself to NOT deliver my package and had it immediately sent back the very same day. They refuse to deliver any package if you are not previously listed. I travel all over the US and have never encountered this before. I went into the post office the very next day to have the package retrieved, as I know that can be done, and they refused to do so. They cited something about mail fraud issues. Just before coming to Sedona I was at my mom's house in Modesto, Ca. and there were no issues with receiving mail from the USPS while there. And I had not lived at that address since 1976! Meanwhile UPS has no problem making deliveries! Very frustrating. read more

I had yet another package returned because the delivery person marked my house as vacant. I had an Amazon package delivered (obviously I ordered it 2 days prior), they delivered it and the the NEXT DAY (a Friday of course because they are close on the weekend) marked my house as vacant. She then took my package out of my mailbox and then returned it. This should be mail theft as far as I'm concerned. This is the 4th time this has happened to me in 6 months. I travel a lot for work. I expect my mail when I return - Total BS. Now I'm going to go buy a locking mailbox so they can't do this shut again! read more

Another 1-star review and I'm sure they don't care. Counter staff (or should I say person) is extremely rude. She could care less about anything. This is the third time in as many months that we've experienced problems with them (always the SAME person behind the counter). Latest was a package shipped OVERNIGHT from a Post Office in Minnesota to this Post Office. Didn't arrive, their tracking is down, counter person said: "Can't track it, nothing we can do about it, have the sender go back and request a refund." Seriously? The price I paid for overnight delivery is SECONDARY to the fact that I had something I needed to be delivered OVERNIGHT. Lazy and rude are only two of the nasty words I'll leave here for their review. read more

Ok, I was in on 10/15/21 and I have to say there is a whole new attitude and vibe. Genesis was the representative that helped me. I saw her interact with three clients prior to me. She was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. I was so surprised by her interactions with all of us that I had to ask if she had been trained at the West Sedona branch and she said yes she'd worked there. Note: West Sedona branch employees generally have good attitudes unlike the Village branch (with a few exceptions). I just wanted to point out after 27 years of using the Village Post Office it's refreshing to see the improvement. It's so much easier to be polite and helpful when dealing with the public and that's now happening, so come on back to the Village branch. We no longer have to drive to the West Sedona to be treated with common courtesy! Thank you!! read more

Worst post office ever. Packages constantly lost, rude staff that are unable to properly operate the computer and equipment, lines out the door with only 1 employee working. Deliveries sometimes won't make it to our house until after 9PM!! I always drive to the next town for drop off packages so I know they won't be lost. This place needs to be shut down, re-vamped, or replaced with a FedEx/UPS. read more

Dawn is the most incompetent manager at a post office I have ever met. She doesn't understand policy. I put a vacation hold for 1 month and came in a few days later after the hold to pick up my mail. Instead she closed my mailbox and returned all new mail to sender even that sent after the hold. They also returned all old mail. I will now file a complaint about her with USPS. She makes up her own rules. read more

This is by far the worst post office i have ever been too. Since moving to Oak Creek they have been nothing but difficult to deal with. The staff are like toast with a serious lacking of knowledge and common courtesy. They are lazy and only ever have one person working when the line is out the door. The manager chooses to stay in her office instead of assisting and on top of everything they close at 3:00pm during the week. My advice is to avoid this post office and hopefully it will shut down or come under new management and staff. read more

WORST. POST OFFICE. EVER. This is the second time I have not received a package even though it was marked "delivered to mailbox". Both times I went into the actual post office to speak to someone about it and both times they could CARE LESS.
