I stopped by on Saturday not knowing they were closed on the weekend, most post offices are open on Saturdays. I went back on Monday to buy some postcard stamps and the line was almost out the door. I didn't want to wait in the slow moving like molasses line so I left. read more

This is a small post office but it does have a drive-through dropbox if you need to drop off things without getting out of your car. On a positive note it is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Sedona, but it does not have an automated postal center for times when the post office is closed. This is the branch by the Harkins Theaters. I have never been inside, but I can see boxes for rent. It's close to thousands of households in west Sedona. Once you get used to the small-town pace here you won't be inclined to head anywhere near the Y, so this is a decent option. Why do I like this branch? Because they have a drive-by mailbox station. Let me start by saying that I'm giving one star MORE than what I feel like I should be posting, and that extra star is exclusively for Glen. Glen is the postal service worker who is normally there (I think he must work there 5 days a week) and he's extremely friendly, always on time, and has genuinely been a good dude any time I've been in there. Now for the reasons why this post office should be getting a 1-star review: They are TERRIBLE! I have moved twice in the last six months (due to Covid) and I've had to fill out FIVE DIFFERENT CHANGE OF ADDRESS FORMS! Every time I submit the form, pay the small fee, and my mail STILL goes to my old PO Box. Each time I've had to contact that post office branch and they've informed me that, "Oh--sorry about that; our computers were down and so we didn't process any change of address forms last week. You need to resubmit." I mean, one time would be acceptable, but when I have to fill out MULTIPLE change of address forms EVERY TIME I move because it's such an ongoing issue, I just don't know what to do other than ask What the farck?!?! This is not the only issue I've had with this post office. I've had multiple occasions where I waited WEEKS for a package to arrive, only to find out that they forgot to put a package slip in my mailbox (on one occasion it was a perishable package that had to be thrown away because they forgot to notify me that a package had arrived) and other times where I received a package notice when there was no package. I sincerely feel bad leaving this bad of a review, because like I said, Glen has always been super cool to me whenever I'm there in person, but the number of times that they have dropped the ball feels almost like a bad hidden camera gameshow at this point! Every time I've called the main Sedona branch to ask for help they have treated me like I'm an annoyance/inconvenience to them when all I'm trying to do is get mail in the POBox that I paid for. I sincerely encourage ANYONE who is considering getting a POBox from Sedona to reconsider your options. This place is terrible! PS: I went in to return my key to the post office today (I wouldn't dare extend my POBox rental after the terrible service there) and I was told that I need to resubmit my Change of Address form (this will be the THIRD TIME) because they haven't received it yet. Come on man! What in God's name do I have to do to get my mail and cut my ties from this place?!?! PPS: I'm genuinely a pretty nice man and I created this Yelp account to leave GOOD reviews. We have had nothing but problems with delivery service. My son moved out from our house over a year ago. There was a forwarding order in effect. He moved back in after the order expired. He has put in a forwarding order from his other home to here again. His mail at first was still being forwarded so he went to the post office and spoke to them to cancel any order forwarding mail from Sedona. Now some of his mail is delivered but anything that is important is returned. We have talked to the post office via phone, in person and spoke to the carrier. They close for lunch from 1pm-2pm daily. I arrived around 1:55pm, knowing that they would reopen in about 5 minutes. There were already two people ahead of me. By 2:10pm there were a total of 6 people in line and no one to be seen that worked there. I wound up leaving at 2:20pm as I couldn't wait any longer for them to open. I understand a lunch closure, but to not have at least one employee back after a one hour break to begin helping customers, or, if planning an extended lunch to not at minimum hang a sign saying they would be delayed opening, is disappointing. This is the third time they have opened late in the times I have come after 2pm, and I very rarely go to this location. read more

The postal carrier needs to honor the delivery instructions instead of doing as they please. In this case, the special delivery is medication and they shoved it in a parcel box instead of delivering to front door as requested. We're staying in a vrbo and do not have access to parcel box to retrieve my medication. Typical lazy government worker. read more

They close early, are very rude and slow. This makes the energy in the whole place weird and people are even more ornery i line. I've noticed only one nice man who waited on me. The Native American man is very rude. Has been for ten years. The other day they closed at 4:23 for a 4:30 close. Not a lot but at Christmas this is unprofessional. read more
