This place has been a great "go to" for printing services... Tyrone is usually the person who takes care of me, and most of the customers... as the printing department is responsible for "regular purchases" , as well. Today, however, Rosemary took care of me, and most of the customers ... I truly appreciate her kindness and professionalism while juggling many roles... I was pushed back, each time a customer with regular purchase, or return... or pick up, came to the counter... I got my 5 pages of labels little under an hour later... her colleague, who was busy doing "non-directly-customer-related things, asked how I was Doing ... as I was leaving, and I just laughed out of sarcasm... how would YOU or ANYONE feel, after getting pushed to the back of the line, many times???? ... and finally get out of there about 45minutes later... Is it possible that a colleague could assist in the process of getting customers out the door??? Is this too much to ask?! read more

BEWARE! A while ago, we brought a return box to be expedited. To Dr Mercola , for around $250 of health supplements. The shady woman cashier who took the box (and was very interested in knowing what was in there) never sent it. After several phone calls, verification, there is no trace that this box was returned. We complained to the manager, who did nothing as he did not know what to do. Then, we went a few weeks later, and it was a new manager who knew nothing about it and the shady woman was not working there anymore. Result: someone at Staples stole our box with $250 of merchandise, and we are at lost. Unacceptable. read more

The problem with Staples is the manager. Previous to today I had heard him being rude to employees and other customers but didn't want to introduce, and not my place + I didn't know the circumstances. Yet at a visit recently, the Print Center was backed up 4 + all waiting t simply pick up a print job. The person working the counter didn't seem to have much experience with the position. The manager was at the check out chitchatting with a friend. I noticed a sign that read Online pick up order here. I went to the counter and asked, the manager directed me back to the Print Center, I mentioned the sign above our heads, he corrected himself and said when he was finished as he rolled his eyes at me. He continued to chat with friend, I waited another 15 minutes and had to leave. However the 800 customer service was easy to get through to on the phone and she was so very nice. read more

My boyfriend and I came to Sedona on a birthday trip and both somehow forgot our laptop chargers at home. We needed to work while on vacation so we popped over to this store in hopes of finding a MacBook Pro charger and an HP laptop charger. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped us find exactly what we needed. They let us try the chargers first before purchasing which was very helpful. This is our stationery and office supply store. Everything you would expect is in stock. School supplies, meeting supplies, printers, computers, iPhone accessories, calendars, all can be found here. They also have a shredding service. You can bring in your paper and pay for the service by weight, and then run it all through a shredder yourself. Another thing I like, which I hope to use in the future, is a printing service. You can bring in a PDF, and they will print the image on something like vinyl in any size you want. I want to get a world map, azimuthal equidistant projection centered on Sedona, 3' x 3' for my wall. Not today, but someday. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! We were trying to purchase a bookshelf and when we got to the cashier he rudely crossed his arms and said 'What are you doing with that?' We were confused and said we are buying this. He rolled his eyes and said 'you can't buy that! You can buy the shelf in a box not the assembled shelf! We said 'well we didn't know that, can we please buy the shelf assembled because we are not capable of doing the assembly He said ABSOLUTELY NOT! We sell shelves in a box and you have to assemble them yourself We honestly didn't understand and asked him to explain or get a manager He got really heated and said he was the manager and asked us to leave the store! I go here fairly frequently, unfortunately it seems I always need something like a flash drive, notebook binder, copy paper, chair, change purse, organizer...etc. There's always a sale on something that I could use & I love stocking up. If you are looking for copies, there is a print shop a few doors down that will honor their price and you do not have to deal with such a rude and obnoxious person like the manager of this Staples. For computers, computer repair or office supplies, avoid this Staples and its manager and drive an extra 20 minutes to Cottonwood and go to Office Depot/Max. Anything is better than the uncomfortable awkwardness of hearing the Staples, Sedona manager screaming rude things to employees across the store. You Pay for What You Get I went into Staples about eleven o'clock this morning and asked to have a sizeable document printed and somehow bound. The nice employee quickly assessed and had a suggestion for stapling not binding the printed material. He told me I could pick it up at 1:30. Besides having lunch I had a number of errands including getting a haircut. When all was done I high-tailed it home and the minutes I pulled into the garage I remembered I forgot to pick up my printed and stapled document. I called and spoke with the assisting employee and he said, "No problem. Pick it up tomorrow. We open at nine o'clock." I said I would and thought to myself, "Flawless and thoughtful." And this is my story and I'm sticking to it. read more

This store's level of customer service in the print section leaves a lot to be desired. I have a client that is presenting at a local conference and we desperately needed a table top banner and cardstock marketing materials printed. This was a perfect opportunity not only for a sale but also for the store to shine in their level of service for the 'business travel' community. Alas, after at least 5 phone calls to the same clerk over a period of 2 days and adding to my stress level that was already through the roof -- it felt like 'pulling teeth' to figure out the best way to get this order completed - online or via detailed email? Clerk said the order could be done online or email but offered no suggestions, no recommendations, didn't give me an email address - nothing was said or offered in ANY way to make the process easy. I had to ask for every detail or make another call and be placed on hold to listen to what sounded like 'funeral home' music which further put me a mood of depression. The music was NOT soothing at all. Seriously, it reminded me of sitting in the funeral parlor waiting to make arrangements for a deceased family member - not a good feeling or memory. The website ordering is not intuitive for a custom order and I ended up sending in the order by email request. At least I received an acknowledgement by an auto response to my email but I still needed a price quote and ETA on completion which I requested in my email so this then precipitated another phone call. I did give plenty of response time and waited until the next morning to call and check on the order status. Finally got an estimate on the 'rush' job which wouldn't be expedited at all and even though Staples and this store advertises delivery on the website, this store doesn't offer delivery, and they cannot accept any form of payment by phone. Two more inconveniences for customers that are away on business travel and working with their assistant (me) that is virtual and helping to provide support from out of state.My client, who is busy presenting and consulting at a local hotel doesn't have time to be dealing with this mess and is reliant on his staff to assist. Nor does he have the time or even the ability to get to Staples for a pick-up because of his schedule, hence, the reason Staples was originally selected when the website stated that delivery services were available. I thought this would be the best option for us! Sadly, no. Anyway, after all of this, we ended up canceling the order because it wouldn't best serve our needs and the conference is over tomorrow. I have been in management and customer service a LONG time and sadly, it is lacking today and this is why stores lose business and customers. Employees need to be trained in "How to Win Friends and Influence People' as well as how to treat the public. We are, after all, a reason they have a job and a wage. I have no words for the awful customer service we received. I have been trained to provide stellar customer service and each position I've held - the company had that expectation as well. I'm appalled at this level of service. Had this turned out differently, I would have given a stellar review and also recommended this Staples store to the concierge at the hotel as the "go-to" place for business travelers or other travelers in general that have printing needs but instead I am writing this review and will be sharing this experience with my client and those at this ANNUAL conference - advising them NOT to use the service here. I have not traveled to Sedona and I was looking forward to the experience. I've heard mixed reviews about the experiences there but was keeping an open mind but after this experience, I'm actually very glad I haven't visited Sedona - I don't think it's the mecca everyone raves about. In fact, it feels very 'spiritually shallow and hollow' to me. A fine place if you love maya but if you're looking for genuine, stellar levels of what they proport? It's not here - as this store definitely most likely reflects its community as well. read more

There was one person in front of me and I was anxious I was not going to get it printed in time. Eric printed the document for me and got me out of there in 3 minutes. I wish I knew the young mans name who helped me in the printing department today but he was extremely helpful in assisting me with my photos to print which I wasn't helped with at all at Walgreens:-( so I was worried about getting them printed but he helped me in just a few minutes and put them on a nice glossy paper which I will be proud to bring into my audition tomorrow. Easily the nicest staff I've ever had the pleasure of utilizing at an office supply store. Every employee seems to enjoy being at work and is happy to help. Yes, they're understaffed and sometimes it takes a minute or two to get helped, but they always take their time to understand my needs and I always leave satisfied. I have been a resident of Sedona for 45 years and as a business owner and am very happy we have staples locally. Everyone is always extremely helpful and knows me by name. They are well stocked for a small store and if there is something unique or specialty I need, they help me order it online. Yes, occasionally there is a line to check out, but I am thankful they have enough business to be able to be here. If I do order something online, it is there within a couple of days. Obviously the unhappy customers should move to a big city for service, not beautiful, small Sedona. These sound like the same type of people that complain in every other store because they have to wait in line for a couple of minutes. The only thing I would like to see changed in the store is to relocate the candy counters that are blocking access to the checkout. It is annoying to have to walk totally around them to check out.
