Not getting mail and others mail thrown around my neighborhood. This is bad as it is tax season and others getting important personal info.

Today I needed to buy a new large box. Not only do they have a variety of sizes, they also have a nook up front where you can get a free used box if wanted. The staff member gave me tips such as do not wrap the box in paper because "if it comes off in transit, the box may wind up in China." I have come here for several printing projects, and I was pleased with the expertise and efficiency of the staff. They work out the best way to get the results you want and suit your needs. Unexpected Bonus: This store is a GEM when it comes to stocking a large variety of really nice greeting cards for any occasion. The selection is amazing, arranged well on several racks that are easy to access. They even have a rack full of clever cards with dogs and cats etc. The prices are better than you find in a franchise Hallmark store.

I brought my flash drive and a question about misalignment, and this was my very first visit. I've been hoping for a while for a reason to stop at one of the shops in the strip, which ultimately is why I picked this place out of many business offering the same kind of service. There was another person in front of me but I was asked if I needed help without much delay, and eventually a gentleman assisted. He test printed it, showed it to me and told me I got it right, and had the template printed on a higher-weight paper. I still am impressive with how he knew what paper to use for my purpose and what he chose for me was exactly what I needed. I looked around while waiting for the print and saw photocopiers with a desktop computer along one wall, and there was what looked like a shipping counter, with packing materials, cards, miscellaneous stationery in between. And honestly, I was taken with the vintage charm and hope they stay open for many more years (I hear they've been around for about 20).

Oh, boy. I bet Post Offices don't get reviews except when somebody is unhappy, and as much as I'm a…read morefan of the concept of the Post Office and supportive of the US Mail, this particular post office is not off to a good start with me. We had a serious problem with getting our mail delivered when we first arrived in town, and while the supervisory staff was attentive and polite, it did not get resolved until i'd had to visit at least three times. I'm not sure it was entirely resolved. If there's one thing, ONE THING, you want from your local post office, it's that they deliver your mail reliably. I do not have a big trust factor built up on that front as yet. And as far as preserving the business in the future, this and all POs have to develop a more positive customer service attitude at the counter. The clerks here are all polite, efficient, and professional, but they all seem to wear permanent sour expressions and address you like they're selling funeral services instead of stamps. The particular location is small, clean, and modern, has none of the charm of old style post offices but is at least not as depressing as some of the tired 1960s counter-based POs I've been in. That said, it's not inviting as a place to browse for shipping services; there are not a lot of work spaces or elbow room for managing your packages. There is a drive-through drop-off at this location (enter to the east on the one-way, and loop around to the exit) although it's worth noting the drop-off mailbox blocks other traffic, which is probably frustrating during peak times. I've been in towns, some of them fairly large, where the Post Office remained a sort of civic center and meeting place, and this isn't one of them. I've also seen a few, just a few, PO locations where they seem to emphasize customer service over the glum remnants of government bureaucracy. This also is not one of those. A very sad rating of mediocre/average from me. I can hope for better for this location and for the Postal Service as a whole.

My wife's wedding dress needed cleaning (long story), and she was panicked. When I spoke to Hannah at Best Cleaners, all our concerns started to fade away. She said to come up and see her at the Schenectady location when we landed on Friday. They checked out the dress while we were there, and felt confident they could do a good job. Hannah delivered the dress (and my suit) to us personally on Sunday, and the cleaning was perfect! I never thought a cleaning company could make a real difference in our wedding ceremony, and through that our lives. Hannah proved that it can. I don't think our wedding would have been the same if not for their kindness and quality of service. I don't live in the New York area, but if I did, I would never use anybody but best cleaners. Five stars isn't enough. If I could read this 100 Stars I would. Thank you Hannah!

The price quote appeared steep, $26, so I asked if any coupons were available? The representative applied a $10 coupon. I received a text message Thursday at 11am stating my order was ready for pick up. At 3pm I arrived to find the lights out and doors locked. So I called the Latham location to inquire. The woman who answered was very friendly and very scattered. She actually hung up on me twice and called me back twice, I believe unintentionally. She informed me that the dress could be delivered to my house that evening by 7pm and I agreed. The dress was not delivered Thursday night but instead at 830am Friday morning. Most importantly the lace on the dress and the tie around the neck are intact and the dress looks fabulous. The entire process at this cleaners seems unorganized. The first woman I dealt with during drop off is telling customers that the cleaner is open until 5pm when the clearner actually closes at 3pm. And the website does not have the updated 3pm Clovid 19 closure time.
