I came in to send a check through priority mail, but I needed to write something on the check. I also didn't see the priority mail envelopes or slips to fill out. I'm sure they operate fine as a post office, but no pens is a problem, and must certainly be a small reason why it's always so busy, because people can't prefill out any information and must do it when then get to the counter.

It's an eerie feeling-there is no music playing overhead, the ambience is cold and stale and nobody really interacts with one another beyond necessary for transaction. However, the US Post Office isn't in the placemaking business, and that's ok. Their job is to get our mail from one place to another. I was able to get my business taken care of and even received a call back from the postmaster himself with an answer to my question. I appreciate that! Now, if someone could get some Musak playing overhead, the wait in line might be more tolerable.

Even though my package was already there and ready, she refused to release it unless I signed a shipment release authorization form, which didn't make sense given the situation. On top of that, she would not accept my passport as valid ID simply because it didn't show my address, and she kept insisting on a state ID.
