More than once I have had a package arrive at this post office. I get the notice that it will be delivered that day only for the post office to send it back to the same distribution Center that it came from. I then get another notice the package would arrive the next day. I don't know if there is a problem with the sorting or not but it needs to be straighten out. I had another package arrive at this same post office that then was sent to Wisconsin, and I live 5 minutes away from this post office.It's ridiculous.I sometimes hesitate to order something because I don't know where the package will end up or if I will have to wait several days to receive a package that I was told would be delivered that day.It's the number one reason I alway track and I signed up for informed delivery. read more

My packages always get lost at this facility. I only live a few hours away, yet my packages will end up in Oregon, South Dakota, Arizona, etc., before *maybe* making it's way back to me. HARD avoid this one, my fellow humans. Drive 15-20 miles out of your way, abandon all use of the mails, use FedEx, but whatever you do, do not go here. Service does not reside here. Neither does pleasantness, kindness, or really anything that you might want. Went in today with a package to mail; couldn't find the QR code in my phone for the counter person to print the label, but I had a printed label. I asked her to weigh the package to make sure I had enough postage and, I kid you not, she would not do it. The Post Office would not weigh a package for me. She said they only do that "if it's really heavy or something." LOL. If we're going to guess at weight, I'll just do that from home. Also, she could not spare any tape for me to put the label on, which ok, but really? She told me I had to "purchase it myself." LOL. I left, feeling totally defeated and without mailing my package, so I guess that's a W for her. I shall never return, so she can enjoy torturing other "customers." I have never had the issues that other reviewers discuss here -- granted, I'm not saying they didn't have those experiences but I have lived here 25 years without any of the alleged action - stolen packages, being charged for tape, etc. The workers seem nice and I have always gotten my business done efficiently. It does seem understaffed sometimes, with only one or two clerks out front when there is a substantial line, but you could probably say that about many branches and it's hard to blame the front-line workers for that. read more

Every visit could vary but when I went right before the holidays the staff here was amazing. Super efficient, friendly, helpful, and they didn't mind at all that the place was packed with cold people trying to frantically to mail stuff before the holidays ended. Dude what is the deal lately? 3 times now THIS MONTH (about 20 days) all my packages (I drop off 25-50 each visit) I drop off at this location are scanned delivered to a PO Box. I get it that it could have been an accident the first time but, THREE TIMES now? This is kinda ridiculous. I'm getting blown up With angry customers, I have people filing cases against me on the transactions, I could get negative feedback and losing regular customers. Can this issue get addressed by the post master? Three times is not an accident... Literally EVERY SINGLE claim filed against me by buyers I will loose because I can't provide any tracking numbers that say delivered to the buyers zip code. read more

I and my son asked for help from the staff with the enclosed description list of items. the girl instructed me to Customs Declaration to send the package to Canada. All of the items inside the package value less than 150$ with the total fee 156.20$. However, my package was returned after 6 days with the reason the items hasn't been declared clearly. I brought my package to this place to know the reason to send again and they requested me to pay with the fee 156.20$ again for sending again while it is not our fault. The items are value less than 200$ while I have to pay 2 times of fee. The staff in this post office is not responsibility with customers. read more

This location is always busy with lines usually out the door. I lucked out today and didn't have to wait too long. It was just a little before noon. I shudder to think of what the crab apple below will be like as the day progresses. The crotchety crab apple that helped me seemed less than thrilled to help me or anyone for that matter unlike her chipper and friendly co-worker next to her. I understand people don't fill out the right forms, etc, but it must be in the job decription to show people how to do it correctly and not sigh and mutter move over and fill it out.While I understand that dealing with the public may be challenging, isn't it part of your job? Those damn custom forms are long and for those of us who don't do them on the regular a little understanding would not be unheard of. I'll most likely stick with the DT location or the other one closer to my house. I'll drive a little further not to experience the attitude of having to help me and feeling like I'm ruining someone's day to use their service. Sheesh! To echo Jenny always a long line and the staff hate working there. These pricks make you buy tape for an envelope. Other locations don't. They have one pick up time for the boxes outside 6PM. However, I did spot them picking up in the afternoon once. The place is run down and grungy. I overheard a customer tell someone that the self serve ran out of stamps. A very helpful, nice Post Office! They are usually busy and clip right along in getting everyone through the line. If you need to fill something out, they'll help you. They'll even let you fill it out to the side and then let you pop back into line to finish. I've been coming here for 20 years. Never a problem. Now they have a little machine that you can rate your visit as you leave by pressing a button. One's a happy face, a neutral face, or frowny face. What other government service does this? None! AND where else in the world can you bring a piece of paper in an envelope and ask a grown person to deliver it across the country in a few days for ONLY 50 cents! PLUS, they bring mail right to your door daily--walking through the rain, snow and heat. It's incredible really. read more

Every other time I've been in a clerk has helped me figure out how to get everything done properly and printed out a package slip for me. I don't ship often and don't really know how to do it so usually need help. This time a grumpy woman completely refused to help me. I don't know why she wouldn't help me, the place was otherwise empty so it's not like I was holding up a line. Long lines, inefficient grumpy staff move at snail's pace. They told me to wait in line when all I had to do was simply drop off a prepaid clothing return. No interaction needed, no forms to fill out, no payment to be made - all I needed to do was to literally put my package on the counter and leave. The 60 year old women working here have the WORST attitude for people working in customer service. You shouldn't be hired in a customer facing role if you can't control your attitude. It's honestly quite pathetic for their age. Anyways, they scolded me for dropping off my Poshmark package and using a priority mail box which is prepaid for by Poshmark and said I couldn't use the priority mail packing tape for my priority mail box. Was on hold for an hour to try and change my last name with the postal service and they said I had to go in to do it. I come to this place and they said they don't do that and I might not get my mail if my name changed. So they said they'd "leave a note" with the mail man so he knows I live where I do. I understand that they don't do that now but if I call and they tell me they do and I waste my time coming in, I'm not going to be happy. I've been using this post office for years. There is a lot of traffic, but if you can go in the middle of the day, not bad at all. I have seen one or two workers deal politely and efficiently with irritated customers. Myself, I have received very good service whenever I've been there. They have suggestions for getting my package there more quickly and always tell me what the cost will be up front. There are options for getting stamps and mailing small packages outside of waiting online. I have not encountered a crabby employee, but some of them do seem tired at times. (If I were working there, I would be tired at times too, with all the traffic.) I use a number of post office locations, but this is the one I use most often. read more

Maybe they are not used to standing in a line, even one that moves pretty quickly? If ever the need arises that I have to ship a package I can rest assured that my neighborhood post office is just a few blocks away. Over the few times that I have gone to the post office I have realized there are certain times to avoid entering this building, unless you want to spend an unnecessary amount of time hearing about what new stamps the person in front of you is interested in buying. Stay far away from this place early in the morning (when they first open), during lunch time (avoid like the plague) and especially in the evening after work (expect the last minute shippers in here trying to ship a bunch of boxes and never have a form filled out). Overall this post office is pretty decent, well stocked with shipping supplies, a friendly staff and a well-kept space. read more

I've been here twice because it's close to work, but today was definitely the last time. If I'd read reviews, I'd have known that the line is always crazy. This is apparently caused by the cashiers who idly chat with customers. Today, for instance, there were two cashiers when I entered. Both started "my brother knows your brother" type conversations with their respective customers and continued to talk after the transactions were done. Then the first cashier walked away from the counter (and the line that was starting to go out the door).
