The operations of the post office are pretty typical: limited hours of operation, long lines, and not enough customer service employees. However, the reason to go in is the building. The building was constructed during the 1930's and still has art deco trim and embellishments. If I could give a negative rating they would get it. I'm constantly getting mail that's not mine. My carrier must be dyslexic because for the life of him or her ai get mail for others. After continually getting mail for past tenants, even after writing on the envelopes "no longer at this address" the clowns continue to put their chit in my box. And just today I get an email notification of a pkg delivery to the locker. I get in my truck and drive the half mile (because the lazy asses cannot be bothered to swing by, only to find no key! This is at least the third time it's happened! Sure it shows the next day that's not the point. Do your job! Horrible customer service. You really should be ashamed and look for another gig if you can't perform this one! I'm filling a formal complaint finally. read more

We had mail forwarded here temporarily. Their staff was efficient and pleasant. Very helpful which is getting to be a rarity these days.

If you happen to be in Safford, AZ the post office is worth a stop to see the examples of WPA era mural work. The vignettes of the southwest are a pictorial timeline of history and in color. Most of the WPA era paintings I have seen have been in black and white so this was a nice treat. On our rural route we are used to getting other people's mail and not getting ours but today takes the first prize on incompetence. There are three boxes on one stand. We set it up that way to be considerate to the carrier. Today one box had one letter. It was addressed to another road completely. One box had a mix of the right mail and someone on a road we never heard of thrown together. The third had the flag up and important outbound mail in it. The mail was not picked up and no mail was left. This is ridiculous. I realize these rural routs are awarded on a bid basis but there must be some quality control. read more
