This place is always short staffed, closes early on appointments like passports (closing at 1 pm when they say they're open till 3), and don't take reservations to accommodate those, like myself, who have a continually changing work schedule. First office they are discriminating and offensive. They don't accommodate to height, vision or any ADA accessibility. Second off the lady pushed on my package when it was being weighed. I watched the gentleman help is customers and he did not push on a single package when it was being weighed. This is the worst post office EVER! We have a business in this area and continually our delivery guy hasn't delivered our mail or packages. I regularly have to call the post master to tell him I was suppose to get something and the driver didn't deliver it and he's had to come back and actually do his job. I called them yesterday when an insurance check was delivered, in fact we hadn't received a single piece of mail all week, not even junk mail. So long behold the driver pulled up just now to our shop only and threw our mail in the slot and took off. He didn't deliver mail to any other business. I wish this post office would fire this driver as he clearly isn't efficient in doing his job. Mail carrier can never seem to get it right. My neighbors and I have to basically deliver our own mail. When we have packages delivered with tracking, it will say delivered in parcel locker, however, there is no key and you have to hope the neighbor received the package and will deliver it. We contact the post master and he shines us on all the time with excuses that people are new etc, however, he never takes any ownership, and most of the time you are lucky if they answer the phone. It's a shame that we pay taxes to receive service like this. I suppose the post master sees his role like a weather person, as long as he gets it right 50% of the time he is doing well and proud of himself. read more

I understand the post office gets busy but all 4 of the employees had no sense of urgency, just taking their time. I then get helped by a heavy set male with a shaved head and facial hair (describing so you know who to avoid, his clerk number on receipt is 17) and he asks me to fill out an address tag and bring it back. I complete it by the time he helps the next customer and I tell him I am done right before he calls the next person and he still proceeds to call them then look at me and say "oops, let me help her first" does not even fucking apologize or anything. So my street was closed for road work & my mail wasn't delivered. I was waiting for some very important mail so I decided to call USPS to see what I could do to pick it up after an HOUR of waiting on hold I finally get a response and the lady told me I could pick it up from my local post office that same day, so I went down there waited another 45 minutes and they told me tomorrow at 8 am I could pick it up. I went in today & waiting an hour for some RUDE lady to give me a snide comment "why would you think it would be here?!" With so much attitude.I just don't understand why they couldn't say from the get go to wait until the next day for delivery. That's all. I know it's a demanding job but damn. read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Riverside, California

Another government agency where the service is at snail speed. The postal service is very understaffed and needs a lot more funding to survive. I usually come to the post office to buy postage to mail packages since they have a scale to weigh packages and charge accurately rather than estimating the cost yourself. I also came here to apply for a US Passport and they wait was not too bad, but there was only one person processing the applications. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Wish I can see this at other post offices. I just wish they have more people working, since they are always understaffed. They do on the other hand offer a self service machine for postage and a drive thru mail drop off in the parking lot. If you are picking up mail or packages, there is no need to wait in line, since they usually have one person responsible for retrieving mail and packages. read more

I've had my mail returned to sender, packages gone undelivered, packages disappearing at this point in the chain of custody (according to package trackers), mail delivery just stopping for no reason whatsoever. Hopefully, the third complaint I've sent to the USPS Inspector General about this post office will actually get it investigated. Not sure with all the one star reviews: Note this review is for this location, and the customer service. Overall, it's ok. The people in the main lobby are nice and smile, and generally work pretty quickly for USPS. I don't blame them for when a customer doesn't have their stuff together. The mail pickup counter, just outside the service lobby... eh... A downgrade in terms of service, and the wait time is kinda tedious. This line can get long and start to interfere with the regular service line when something goes wrong. Most of the time though, it's not that bad. Just be aware of this. Over all, it's not the best USPS I've been in, and it's not the worst. Just have some patience, bring some good tunes on your iPod or phone, or try and engage in a friendly convo with the people around you. read more

The post office in riverside on Chicago service is really terrible i drop off a package nov 27 in the morning it had a tracking number after 7 days i try tracking my package it shows that it was never received at the drop off so I go to post office they tell me it was never scanned in and it's not showing it was ever received there so now I have to file a claim for there screw up the USPS SUCKS . We usually receive our mail at around 1pm. I am waiting for a paycheck that usually delivers on Saturday, but no check was in the box on Saturday. Memorial day holiday on Monday and now it is Tuesday. 1pm- no mail 2pm- no mail 3:30pm- no mail I call the post office and someone actually picks up, i ask them about our mail carrier and they put me on hold. 20 minutes later the phone disconnects. 4pm-4:49 ringing no answer In the meantime I get in the car, drive to the post office. Still letting the phone ring on speaker, every four minutes I redial. 4:20- get in line- phone still ringing no answer 4:30- phone still ringing please wait for a supervisor 4:49- Supervisor, your route got divided today expect you mail late. Denies phone is ringing even when i show him the screen on my phone that has the number on it!!!! 6pm- post Office is closed, no mail 7pm- no mail Well I guess I didn't need to pay bills, get groceries, have my oil changed. NO! I needed to sit at home all day waiting for mail delivery that never happened. They just chose to not deliver mail to my neighborhood today. read more

It's located near lots of food places and the riverside swamp meet. During business hours it gets really busy (usually between 2-5). However they usually have someone come out to assist people in line. As with any post office, it's best if yho pay for any mailing cost ahead of time so that's it's easier to drop things off. Small area so it can get cramped really quickly. They also have a small area of p.o. boxes available as well. read more

OMG.. I have filed 4 complaints and called the 1800 number and filed complaints and I still am not receiving any mail at my house address. I contacted my local branch they said the people on Chicago were forwarding my mail back to senders.. why they did not know for me to contact them.. I don't really post negative reviews because I can understand how obnoxious/rude customers can be and try to give workers the benefit of the doubt, but one of the workers here was just plain rude. I'm new to the area, and I'm not sure if she was just having a bad day or dealt with rude customers or whatever, but I tried to drop off a package around 3. I looked on Google to see what time USPS closes (and it said 6:00am-6:45pm), only to come to USPS with the doors locked and instead of telling me they're closed, this old lady starts yelling at me (from behind the counter + behind locked doors) "Go! Just go! Go!" like, I apologize for not knowing USPS hours, but there has to be some level of professionalism. Again, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but still, yelling at someone behind the counter + locked doors without any reason to besides coming in after closing hours is just rude. read more

I'm surprised at how low these reviews are. Every time I have been to this facility, the workers have been genuine and helpful! I have been here a few times to either pick up packages or buy nice stamps and I've never had a negative experience. ALSO, I completely screwed up and didn't put the street name for some packages of christmas presents. I noticed both packages said they were delivered to the local post office so I called to see if they could help me out. I spoke with Helena (Elena?) and she looked into it and called me back every time she got more information. She was so extremely helpful, especially because it was my fault! I am so grateful for her customer service, because it could've been easy for them to just tell me to figure it out on my own. She searched and found both of my packages! Well let's start this review by asking, "Does anyone really LIKE going to the post office?" The lines are always awful and the USPS customer service isn't always top notch no matter where you are. This particular post office gets marked down for the following reasons. 1. The lines. No more needs to be said. 2. The homeless people harassing you, both in the drive thru line and at the doors. 3. The difficulty getting out of the parking lot. No left turns here so you have to make a u-turn at the light. The one redeeming factor is the self-service machine. As long as the person in front of you knows how to use it. Otherwise it's just as painful as waiting in the regular line. read more

The staff are friendly at this location, but whenever there is a line it moves at snails pace! Do not go there on a Saturday. I waited in line with 3 people in front of me for 20 minutes and only one window open, plenty of staff walking around but no one was willing to open a second window. Why are people hating on this place :( Every time I come here, it's such nice friendly workers and customers who seemed to hate anything and everything... or something (constant sighing, random cussing, the "are you serious??") Even with these unpleasant customers, the workers always have a smile on their faces in hopes of making their day even a tad bit better. Yes, they work slow but that's probably cause they're old. BUT they're always nice about the services (if you have questions, etc). The place is SUPER old looking though, but I'd come back any day! I live at 5880 Lochmoor and my mail and packages are regularly delivered to the apartment complex across the street at 5880 Fair Isle. One of the mail pieces that got delivered to the wrong address was a credit card, which then got used by someone. I have left messages for the post master at this location and wasn't even given the courtesy of a return call. This has been happening for years. Just had a package last week that was delivered to the wrong address yet again. I understand that mistakes do happen, but this is ridiculous and the post master clearly doesn't care. I had a package get mis-delivered, but the postman, Rick Garcia, went out of his way to locate it for me. I told him the time it was scanned as delivered on the website tracker and he figured it out. In only a few minutes, he located my package at the other apartment complex on my street. He quickly drove back and handed me my package. He was a very nice guy and was working really hard on one of the hottest days of the year. Rick, you're the man! Have to add my two cents. Zero stars would be more appropriate. No. Let me correct that. Negative 10 stars. We have arranged premium forwarding twice and regular temporary forwarding once through this branch. We get confirmation of the requests and then the nightmare begins of not getting any mail, followed by getting some mail with a lot of things being lost or delivered to the non forwarding address. If you try and deal with it on the telephone with this branch you get excuse after lame excuse about why it doesn't work. In addition, when we are home for regular periods of time, we often get other people's mail in our box and things that show on informed delivery do not get delivered. We used to have a regular carrier that was very conscientious and we had no problems. Recently we never seem to have the same carrier and the mail comes at all different times or not at all. This place needs a complete overhaul with someone at the top who cares. read more
