I've seen them deal with a lot of people who are not always the kindest. The last time I was in, there was 1 person working and a huge line. I usually don't have an issue with this location but, today I was shipping some returns and the lady working the front (something with J, Janise I think?) was so unpleasant. I watched as she gave every single person in line an attitude about some part of their interaction and sure enough she was rude, cold and genuinely unkind during my interaction with her as well. I get having a bad day and understand a government job is hard and she probably has to repeat herself often but, Idk I was in a few weeks ago and she had the same attitude. This post office is very small. The lines are usually long and they are often under staffed. If you just need to drop off mail, there is a drive through drop off. The slot is thin and only good for envelopes not packages. On the rare occasion that they aren't busy, the front desk people look a lot happier and are friendly. They have always been nice to me, but the workload looks so heavy that they look stressed. Due to cutbacks, they are not open Weekends. read more

Went in today to drop off a prepaid package. The line was very long, I get it's the busy season. I asked the gentleman at the counter if I could use a tape gun, keep in mind I had my package and label ready to go. He said no. I asked him if I waited in line, could he toss me a strap of tape for the top of my box......again, no. He said 'you'll have to wait in line to buy a roll of tape." I left. Went to the south upland location where they were VERY busy, but still taped the top of my box without question. You have to go really far out of your way to be this unhelpful. This location is awful. Although it's near my home I'll go elsewhere. I have since purchased my own tape........the nice people at south upland told me where I can leave packages without waiting in line. To the gentleman working at the amethyst branch around 11am on 12/14/22, be less of a dick. It's not worth it. read more

I have to give this post office three stars in hopes it raises its overall score. There was a long line...it went by quickly since there were three employees helping customers. An automated stamp machine would be nice. Service was adequate : I needed to mail something. They slapped a postage sticker on it and threw my envelope in a bin. I'd consider that a job well done. Now I just have to make sure it arrives at its destination (which I'm sure it will). read more

Let me start by saying the people working there are some of the nicest people you will ever run into. However, they take longer to wait on people than sloths take to mate. I mean, it took less time for them to write the movie Postman, cast it, film it, send it to DVD before they got through the three people in the line in front of me. Trust me, take the time to go to another location. The time it takes you to drive there will be time saved when you're not waiting in line like you're at the DMV. Changed my mind. Greg is one of the worse public sector employees I have ever dealt with. Instead of taking my own advice (my mistake) I went back twice to mail packages. Must have been from my last Yelp review but he acted like he doesn't even work there. Told him I paid and couldn't print a shipping label. Instead of listening to me, he tells me to write it out. He then says they can't reprint a label as the online and physical locations are different . Had a hands off "not my job" attitude and then when I ask for the post master (and informed him how he was acting) he laughs and makes a smart a** comment. Yelp is the least of their worries as this will be shared everywhere, with everyone, until that office is closed. No sense keeping open an office that acts in the manner they do. read more

I walked in to mail a package that already had posting and wasn't sure if I had to wait in the long line or if I could just drop it off so I asked the clerk and before I got a chance to finish my question she said "at the end"! with a attitude. I didn't understand what she meant so I said "what?" and she said "AT THE END AT THE END"! I did not get no hello, welcome, how can I help you... nothing but attitude. Now I have to trust that this person he's going to be handling my important mail? This is not professional at all she needs to be reevaluated and there should be a consequence for her attitude. I asked her what her name was and she told me she was not gonna give me her name and that I'm being rude because she's with a customer. I proceeded to tell her she has a well-paying job and she needs to respect the people that come in and pay to keep her employees, she then told me to leave and called me a Fu*#er... The only reason I'm not giving a 5 Star is because on numerous occasions when I've dropped off mail through the drive thru drop off, the mail box has been over stuffed. It's to the point that anyone could just take out the mail by the handfuls. Now as far as reading other people's comments and saying the lines are long and out the door that is never the case whenever I go. Now for their customer service skills as far "friendliness" it lacks in that area. For me I go to this post office merely for convenience due to the other one being further. Overall this post office is a small,clean, and nice post office that has your basic needs. If you are looking for more then I would suggest going to the one on Arrow. read more

Out of the 2 closest USPS locations near me, this one is my favorite. It is a smaller post office location, but don't let that deter you. Even on it's most hectic mailing times of the day, with literal lines out the door, I have never waited longer than 20 minutes. Most of the staff I have encountered are pleasant too, especially Gregg and Jimmy. They always have smiles on their faces and are ready and willing to help. Additional parking is also around the corner, to the back. If you're in the area searching for a USPS, I'd certainly recommend trying out this location. read more

My favorite post office. Seriously. Yes the post office can get busy and you have to wait but i feel the employees here go the extra mile to help you. One time my mothers birthdaypresent hadnt been delivered so i went in. The representative who helped me was kind enough to take my tracking number and then find out who had the package. She told to give her an hour and id get a call which i did. My mothers gift was at my office in less than 45 minutes from the call and i was able to get it to her party in time. Mistakes happen but i was always remember how they handled that one. The busy times seem to be around noon and close to closing. If you just have letters than use the post office boxes outside but do not leave your mail sitting on door of it! Ive seen too many times the mailboxes get full and ppl just leave their mail there. Yes they could add another mail box but when one of them is full and the rest have room use the others. If you leave your mail out then it can get lost or worse stolen. My other advice would be watch the parking lot while driving. A lot of ppl going in and out in slightly smaller spaces can get a little crazy. read more

Worst service ever by Victoria, she has a horrible attitude she didn't say hi to begin with, on top if that she was throwing my boxes really hard with attitude they even fell on the floor and she didn't care to pick it up and I was talking to my mother and she budded in saying she would pick it up eventually (the package that fell) she can't even do her job correctly I had 30 packages and she didn't scan two of them for talking to her co worker about drama who knows what which is also rude as hell! The contempt that the employees at this post office have for their customers is shameful. One employee named John asked a customer, who was using an oxygen tank, if they had an extra cigarette. They had a line out the door and one station operating. Do they not have a manager? At one point employee John wandered off into the back for five minutes without saying anything to anyone in line. A female employee was asked if she could help us and her response was that she has carpel tunnel syndrome and can't do anything. Why is she there??? Thought I should add that the women working here are very rude and unprofessional. They really must hate their jobs. I was there few wks ago and the line was out the door and a woman kept yelling at people coming through the door to keep it closed because she couldnt hear anything, and telling certain ones to get back out. Maybe they need a number system at this one since its so small. I got too many dirty looks from these ladies in the 20 minutes I was there. I work in customer service and have over 30 people in line consistently for hours, but that doesnt give me the right to act unprofessional. If anything, be more polite and friendly because remember the customers arent too thrilled to be waiting either and if you want them to come back, smile and be nice even if you stressed and irritated. He thinks he is funny and will ask customers questions that have nothing to do with their transaction, but instead clog the lines. I've used this Post Office before, and I have never experienced any problems until today. The portly guy named John tried to bully me to use a different service as I had 2 large boxes. He asked where the packages were going and exclaimed it would cost $300 while I was in line. He insisted I use a different courier. A few customers told me to try FedEx or UPS. I waited and was helped by a woman who wasn't too happy to be there. John was surprised the packages weighed less than they looked, and they also cost me less than his public quote before actually being helped.
