This is my 2nd disappointing experience with employee 33 at this location the past 2 months. His customer service was extremely poor and seemed bothered when assisting me. Returned my receipt to me by throwing it in the counter vs handing it to me. I remained cordial the entire time as who knows what kind of day he was having. Will have words with management if this behavior continues. I expect professionalism and courtesy when visiting USPS, but these experiences fell far short. read more

This was a decent post office, but let's get real here, is any government entity gonna live up to all your expectations? I came here because I had to sign for a letter and also needed to mail another package. There was no line and the postal guy was nice and professional. What's interesting is that if you're only mailing a book, the charge is $4.35, but if you don't mention you are mailing a book, the cheapest rate is $15. Are you serious? Good thing I ask a lot of questions and paid only 1/3 to ship a present to a friend. What's cool is that when I asked for the Endangered Species stamps, both postal workers said yes! And one of them even said how cool they are! I agree! I went a bit on a rampage and bought a few others also, including Chief Standing Bear and Lunar New Year stamps! Overall, a good experience here. The only weird thing is how the parking lot is set up. No idea WTH is happening there. There are two entrances, however, both only go one way in opposite directions. I had the worst experience there. A man, David, was busy talking to this pretty young woman and I get it. But I'm standing there patiently and they just don't stop talking. So I just let him know that I was waiting and only had so much time. He rudely told me that if I can't wait then I can go somewhere else. I was speechless. I was trying to hurry to get things done because I was needing to get important paperwork sent out that I needed to get back for my order of protection. So, an emotional day indeed. I didn't even want his help after because I thought he may not send my stuff out. I was in tears and he just smirked and laughed at me. The lady who did help me called her supervisor on the phone and the supervisor said he would call me and I never got a call. I recorded part of this interaction and I plan on posting it soon. My mom and I grew up in customer service and this David character was the absolute worst and the opposite of what customer service should look like. I'll never go back there and it's obvious why not many people know about this location unless you need a passport or something. The 1 star is for the lady who sent my stuff out. I got it back. I'd give it 0 otherwise because of David and the manager not following up. It's obvious they don't care. read more

Where do I start. Used to be fantastic but everything changes. The man who works here now is unknowledgeable and wastes major amounts of time chatting. Even when there is a line. He tries to force conversation and can be very rude as well. The other woman who usually is here, has improved her customer service attitude and is mostly knowledgeable but still prefer not to deal with her either as she is hit and miss on her service. There used to be a woman (she might still be here once in awhile) who was wonderful, I think her name might be Karen, she was always polite, professional, and very efficient. There are several reasons that I don't use the USPS unless I absolutely have to use it, business hours is the number reason. This branch was closed when I arrived despite the fact that the online hours said it should be open. There were about 10 people in the lobby, all of us were there expecting the PO branch to be open. I wouldn't complain if I lived close, but I don't. And I wouldn't complain if branches near me stayed open M-F beyond 5pm(after most folks get off work). They are extremely rude, unhelpful, and the mailmen will sign for certified mail that they "delivered/left with individual" even though they just left it in the mailbox. My family & I moved to Ahwatukee in March & right before the move, I ordered a cute shirt online & had the new address in Ahwatukee as the place to have it sent to. All this time, I'd been waiting for this item to arrive. No notification, email, tracking number, nothing, so I notified the company I ordered said item from. Company sent me a tracking order & said the item had been delivered/sent here a week after I placed the order. I emailed them in reply to let them know I got NOTHING in return from the post office in regards to this. Dad & I went yesterday to this post office & after he tried to get info on Friday as to the whereabouts of my package, we got ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE with the lady who waited on us yesterday! Turns out rather than sending the item back, the company I ordered from told them to dispose of my item! I am pissed off...both at this post office (not just for this situation, but also because of the run-around they gave us as to the location of our mailbox when we first moved here...apparently that was supposedly when my item was delivered...yeah right), & also at the company I ordered the shirt from for telling the post office to throw my shirt away! Fastest, most pleasant post office visit. Had a passport appointment here today and was greeted in the line and allowed to say why I was there without having to wait. The woman who greeted me was friendly and attentive, letting me know I would be called shortly and I could sit. Only a moment later another kind person named Tyanna called my name and got me all sorted out. She took my photo then very clearly and thoroughly, walked me through the process. I walked out of there less than 10 minutes after arriving with no questions left unanswered. Thank you! read more

On Saturday the main lobby stays open until 1:00. After that, you can still access the the self serve kiosk that sits outside of the main lobby and its super easy to use. You can buy individual stamps or in multiples of 10, 20 etc... or mail packages. Accepts payment by card only. 5 Stars for making my life easier. read more

Unlike some Yelpers, I had quite a pleasant experience here. I came in looking to ship a box out to my family. Although the flat rate boxes were not fully stocked on the shelves, one of the ladies working there was able to grab me some from the back. Both ladies working seemed very friendly despite getting disgruntled customers in line ahead of me. The parking lot is nice and spacious (although if you enter from the side it is one way traffic, which is a little frustrating) and the post office itself was small but clean. I would most likely stop by again for any of my shipping needs! read more

After visiting this location almost daily for three years (I own a small business & ship items out daily), I have finally decided to write a review. With the exception of one female employee who is always at the window on the far right..... these people are nothing short of rude and condescending. It doesn't matter if you visit this location when they first opened or at the end of the day, they are moody and grouchy. They expect you to know the ins and outs of their processes. If you have a question, I feel sorry for you because you will be talked to as if you are the dumbest person on earth. Luckily for me I just drop my packages and leave. However, I always listen to how they interact with customers and it's disgusting. They rarely scan packages in which is extremely annoying! Do yourself a favor and drive an extra five minutes to the priest location, their service is better. read more

Giving it a five. In the pandemic they have done a great job of keeping it all going and I appreciate that. I went in today because I had an important package to send. It absolutely needs to arrive quickly. Are there post office closer to me? Of course, but a little further drive means I don't worry about it arriving whenever. This post office location has proven itself every package is deliver quickly. Even package to other countries are sent quickly. When I went in the signage is very nice and easy to understand. Didn't follow my forward-mail order that I submitted online (and that was confirmed). It is within the same zip code, so same mail office. Instead of forwarding to my new address, they returned the mail to the sender. Lost mail repeatedly. Didn't show much interest solving that mail issue. Promised I would get a call from them rg/lost mail but of course, nobody ever called me. But they deliver all the junk mail - splendid! Pretty great customer service. I had an issue with a package not being delivered, the apartment office said it was the carriers fault and the carriers note said the office declined to accept the package. Went to the post office and spoke with Richard. He confidently stated that it was my apartment office's fault (100% believable, they are difficult), but he offered to call the carrier and have him come back to drop it off at my apartment. The package was delivered within 10 min of my visit to the Post Office. Thank you Richard!!! Also, our normal mail lady, Sonya, is fantastic. She's friendly, prompt, and has gone out of her way several times to assist us. The parking lot is nothing short of fascist. No less than 30 signs telling you what NOT to do. Everything one way. The science is settled on how a parking lot works. This is not it. They need to eliminate all the curbing and medians from the lot and make it a normal parking lot. Otherwise, it's a post office. What do you expect? What do you expect? It's a post office . . . This location has been around a long time, first one in Ahwatukee. It looks like it's been around a while and the parking lot isn't the most convenient. The staff is hit or miss on friendliness; sometimes you'll get someone in a good mood, sometimes not. This location is close to home and the one I use most often. I know it's the post office and all so the expectation is much like the DMV, but when you speak to one supervisor at a location and they say you can drop off "return to sender" mail as in mail that's not yours to ANY location and you're doing the right thing by taking time out of your day to return that mail why give the attitude? Literally shocked that someone didn't wanna take it at first because it's from a different post office location. I came in with a full box of someone else's mail because they never bothered to update their mailing address and then got lectured that you have to return it to your home location post office. Why is that my problem, take the mail and stop sending it to me... not a hard concept. Oh wait it's the post office... silly me Update 3/12, well the plot thickens. After dropping off the box marked "RETURN TO SENDER" of someone's mail that doesn't live there, Supervisor Dicy Hambright decided their location didn't wanna do their job so they packaged it up and sent it back to me after I clearly stated and labeled they don't live at that address anymore. I wish this was a joke, who actually takes more time doing something vindictive then it would of taken simply to do their job? This wasn't a mistake, in big bold letters it was labeled, along with our conversation. This was just a pure vindictive move from this supervisor. You're petty actions weren't even questioned from your peers at my home post office location. If other supervisors from different locations expect this type of behavior, it's no wonder why you have all of these negative reviews about you. I get that USPS has a plethora of packages they have to deliver with the world going to shit. But it baffles me that they didn't even attempt to knock on my door and deliver my target order. They had no issue delivering my last order just a few days prior. In that case, they left the big box in front of my door without notice. Luckily I'm working from home and can see everyone who approaches my door from my desk. This package is the same size, so why be lazy and not deliver it? Instead they leave a notice in my mailbox saying there was no secure place to leave it? What happened between last week and this week that made you feel there was no secure place to deliver my package? It's not even that my package is now having to be redelivered that upsets me (since it was already delayed by original carrier), it's that they didn't even try to deliver it and said they did! read more

I had never been to the post office before and had to get my passport, but the lady seemed annoyed that I was needing help and directed me to the website to schedule the appointment. Yelp simply does not have a rating low enough to adequately convey the amount of contempt I harbor for this location. One star is the minimum, so that's what they get. To start off, there's the ubiquitous Post Office line that everyone is accustomed to. No big deal; you see that everywhere. But, there was this one employee (manager?) that was just standing behind the counter, scowling at everyone (we'll refer to her as "Scowly", even though her name sounds like "Douchey" from what I could overhear). When someone would ask her if she was able to help, she would rudely inform them that "I'm not helping anyone!". No kidding, lady, you're seriously not. The other employees who were actually helping customers seemed to cower from her, and would actually speak in hushed tones as if they were in fear of Scowly. She's like the Benito Mussolini of the Postal Service sector. One customer's cell phone rang, and when the customer answered it (reasonably quietly), Scowly started _yelling_ at the customer that she needed to get off of the phone or leave. When the customer looked at her like "WTF?", Scowly yelled to the customer that it interfered with the scales. That bizarre statement is almost certainly impossible to be true, setting aside the rude manner in which that verbal tripe was delivered. This employee not only has no idea what customer service even is, she is outwardly hostile and I'm rather certain that she has cat piss coursing through her veins. Another fun fact about the route that is serviced by this facility: In the year since I have lived at this address, they have mis-delivered 3 packages; 2 having been put in varying neighbors' parcel boxes, and the other having erroneously delivered to an apartment complex a half a mile away. Convenient is getting to know my neighbors by delivering their packages to them, and asking them to walk to the gang-box so I can get mine. The environment in this facility is beyond abysmal. I could not get out of there fast enough. I feel for the 2 employees that were actually helping people out. This facility is a strong argument for the abolition of the United States Postal Service. read more

This place is awful. Including the delivery folk. Consistently lose mail or don't deliver it, customer service SUCKS (especially the "supervisor"....who will treat you like absolute garbage when you ask why your mail hasn't been delivered for days). Funny how when I order something from Amazon, it always shows up on time thru UPS, but half the time disappears through USPS. Then you can wait in line for hours at the branch so they can tell you they have no idea. I wish we had another choice here. Absolutely the WORST post office ever. Time and time again I try and give them the "benefit of doubt" however they consistently FAIL. There is usually one clerk with lines out the doors. They have lost multiple of our packages. They have consistently had communication issues with their delivery men causing me to wait in their ridiculous lines (40+ minutes) to then have to come BACK. Finally, the workers are rarely pleasant. The older fellow is literally the only clerk who was nice to talk to. I wish I could change post offices. read more

Take in consideration that All USPS offices are slow cause they handle ALL kinds of transactions that only a Federal employee can understand. The only exception is the people behind the counter. My experience with Lorraine (sp) was a fast, friendly and no stress experience. Lost my passport and she walked me thru all the federal maze in a efficient and friendly manner. If you need a passport, do your homework first and bring all the docs they need. If you do that, this is the place to get one! read more

Today there was a single cashier doing both mail and passports, a line out the door, and two managers doing nothing, because they can't "handle payments" as managers??
