Went for a passport appointment, I don't actually think there is any benefit to having an appointment, as you still must wait in the general post office line. Only one employee handling passport applications and pictures (she was great, though) and zero signage on where to go for passports, even though only one employee is handling them. When I got there I waited only about 10 minutes, but while I was waiting about 15-20 people got behind me in line without any movement made. I hope this post office gets more staff members and is able to upgrade their signage at some point soon. They don't make passport appointments intuitive for dummies like me! Side note: Apple Maps takes you to the employee only parking lot instead of the general parking lot, not sure why that is. read more

I've had to go into the office to get my packages 3 times now within the last week due to the driver not wanting to get out of their vehicle or saying there was a "dog" issue, when there's no animal issues in my neighborhood. Although the customer service in the office is very slim, they are helpful at least. This seems to be an ongoing driver issue. 1) Delivery often after 10:00PM, which the PO blames on staffing. Suddenly their problem filling positions has become my problem. 2) My mail is delivered to the wrong address. 3) Informed delivery shows mail for me but the PO insists Informed delivery is wrong. Meanwhile, I don't have the mail. 4) Mail is missing and when I call customer service I am told it could take months to resolve the problem. 5) I find keys to something (?) in my mailbox that do not fit any mailbox. 6) I was told my mail would be delivered by 1:00PM today but was delivered after 5:00PM today. 7) PO clerks try to help but cannot - seems the problems are systemic and exacerbated by part-time carriers who are clueless. 8) No one ever answers their phone, Yakima's number seems to be malfunctioning (no ring tone), and Seattle's wait time today was 54 minutes. read more

Although I've had nothing but positive experiences at Pasco Post office, I'm writing this in particular to thank a worker there, by the name of Ina. I had medication being sent through the mail and it had gotten lost once long before it reached tri-cities. It was found and ended up at Pasco (where it should have been.) But unfortunately, somewhere after it left Pasco, it got lost again on the way to my local post office. I was frantic as the medication was now 2 days late. I called my local post office and there was nothing they could do. When I called Pasco (the last place it had departed). I spoke to Ina on the phone. She REALLY went above and beyond to try and help me track down this package. She spoke to me and got all the details, took down my name and number, then she started to search all over the loading docks and in every possible place a package might have gotten off track (even though it had clearly checked out of Pasco and was headed somewhere else entirely. She still double checked just to make sure). Ina tried to track down this package in every way she could think of. She also spoke to the post master at the local post office where I live. I received the package the next day. But that wasn't the end of this story to show to Ina and her willingness to go the extra mile. This evening she called me at 6 pm, I imagine she was done for the day by then, probably exhausted and ready to go home. But instead, she reached out and called just to make sure I received my package and got it all in one piece. I cannot believe she took the time to make that call, when we all know how busy and overworked the post office is right now (ESPECIALLY at this time of year). Thank you, Ina. (I really hope I am spelling your name right!) But you deserve massive kudos for being so professional, kind, diligent and thoughtful. GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE!!!!! Also, I appreciate the extended hours of the Pasco Post Office and any time I've had to go there, the facilities are clean and the staff are always very friendly. The clerk at the Court Street location in Pasco Washington was rude and completely disregarded the Handle With Care marked on the box and shook it right in front of me in response to my asking if he had heard any sounds from the box. If the 2 ducklings inside had not already been killed violently by whoever handled the box before this guy his shaking it would of knocked them off their feet and sent them rolling back and forth. To the point of harassment, this sorting facility & my mail carrier repeatedly deliver mail that is not ours to our box. The previous owners have not lived here since May 2018. It matters not that we cross out names, write "return to sender" or "not at this address". They put it back in our box! I filled out all the right forwarding information when we moved. The Pasco, WA post office doesn't answer the phone (509-543-2189) during business hours. I called Friday, April 20 at 4pm and several times on the 21st from 11am to 1:30pm. A computer answers the phone and then hangs up after saying to stay on the line. Trying to reach a human through the contact info on USPS is impossible as well. USPS is using a robo caller and trying to do voice recognition. I tried several phone options. I pressed "0" and the robo caller says it doesn't recognize that option. The USPS appears to be a very unprofessional group of government union workers. read more

Phone service is terrible, automated voicemail takes forever and when they finally send you to an operator the call drops everytime.

I would leave zero stars if I could. My mail carrier is a complete idiot. JUST READ THE NUMBERS ON THE MAIL BOX. I haven't received any mail in over a month. When I called multiple times it says wait to be connected to operator the never connects you. I receive mail for a someone with the same apt number but different letter than mine. This post was originaly written 12/7/14 but Yelp somehow moved it to the post office for JBLM. Which is interesting because the other posts on THIS post office seem to be from the Tri-Cities. Anyway... "I wish there was a zero star rating. The service at this post office is consistently bad. It is not unusual to be in a long queue and watch post office workers leave the counter and not come back. Just the other day I was watching one worker in super slow mode stamping a stack of nearly 50 envelopes. There were over 10 of us in line and the other worker just left. We were all at the mercy of the unfriendly staff. Save yourself a headache and a long wait. I happened upon this Post Office by mistake...not my mistake, but the mistake of a Richland Postal carrier (a package slip was left at my door and the address for the Pasco Post Office was on the slip!). I called UPS and the customer rep (very professional) informed me that UPS SurePost means the local Post office takes over. The next time I will contact the seller to make sure it is UPS all the way. But this takes the cake..... mail person delivered 4 packages and jammed them in my box BUT scanned 5 PACKAGES, but only delivered 4.... now they are making me feel like I am lying, when I called, took 2 hours of repeat calling to get them to answer the phone. If you come here make sure you bring something to keep you entertained for the 30 minutes or more you'll be waiting in line for the less than eager to help you staff. While I was able to send my package much cheaper than the other carriers, my time is also worth something and they are definitely working at a government employee pace. read more
