I needed to return a package after work. I googled and this was the closest Post Office from my job in Oak Brook. The view at this Post Office is nice. Pretty green grass. Just a little different from all the post office that I have visited. I was the second person in line and didn't think it would take long. There was only one person at the counter helping customers. I was waiting in line close to 25 minutes. The lady at the counter was taking her time and asking questions. I love kids but she had three small kids. They were climbing, running and screaming. The mother had no control of her kids. The fact that there was only one person at the counter. It just held up the line for others to be serviced. read more

INCOMPETENT STAFF I expect to have immediate resolution and consequences stemming from this complaint as I am also posting it other places Today I drove 4 hours round trip for nothing based on the completely incompetent staff at this location. I needed to get fingerprinting done at this specific location and I called ahead of time (had to wait an hour bc nobody answers their phone) when finally someone told me I could come all day for this until 5. So I started my 2 hour journey there. I walked in and they said the fingerprinting is only from 10-1. I asked why I was given the wrong information and they took no responsibility or accountability for the mistake whatsoever. Just kept passing the buck. There were 2 women there. One was incredibly lazy at a back desk with a horrible attitude. When I was trying to talk to the other lady at the front desk about how this happened, other customers came in and she continued sitting at the desk not alleviating the person who I was talking to making me wait even more and waste even more of my time. I consistently ask for the supervisor but the person I was talking to kept claiming that he was nowhere to be found. Finally they gave me the names of the supposed people who led to my waste of time. Supposedly marquetta smith supervisor was the one they blamed for giving me wrong info. And apparently the supervisor who refused to deal with the issue when I came was named Brandon I can say that there was no customer service whatsoever in this office and no reparations were made. They were completely rude and uncaring. Because I got wrong information, I took a day off of work and wasted a total of five hours dealing with this problem not including writing this review. They even insinuated if I came back the next day I would not be able to get my fingerprints for some reason, when those are the hours. What post office doesn't have a stamp machine in the lobby? This one!! I was in Oak Brook for a conference and this location was only 10 minutes away, so I ran over to get some stamps during lunch. I hate going into post offices. The workers always seem to be so slow and the line always seems to be a mile long. The lines are long here, but the workers are nice and work pretty fast. I noticed that there seem to always be regulars ... people who love going into a post office.. and the workers know them and talk to them and seem to genuinely care. It's still kind of slow here, but if you get one on one service with workers that care, then the wait is worth it. read more

I visited this location today to apply for a passport for my almost 12 year old son. It's a pretty good size location and was not to busy for a Saturday afternoon. The girl that took my son's picture was incredible and super patient as he has a very hard time with the flash. This will be my go to when I need to renew mine in a few years! read more

This place is ridiculous, the staff here don't know what they are doing. Tried to send something international and they don't know which customs form needs to be filled out. Surprisingly my item got returned to me saying no custom form which in fact I filled one out. Now here sending it again and having to pay for shipping again which is crazy. If you can avoid this place. read more

Horrible customer service. They ran out of slips I'd write my intended shipping address, and told me to just use washable marker to print directly on the box. However, this would most likely rub off in transit. They couldn't give me a blank sheet of paper where I would be willing to pay for tape to tape that on with the info. Avoid this location at all cost. Reminds me why I normally go to UPS. read more

The women working was extremely rude and unprofessional. She definitely hates her job and finds customers bothersome. Hard to believe she has a job but she treated everyone the same way so at least she's consistent. She wasn't helpful either. I was returning some purchases and requested some type of delivery confirmation. She said she didn't know what I was talking about. I explained I wanted a way to track the packages to ensure it got to its destination and she said I needed to send it priority mail. Without asking she automatically gave me 2 day shipping. When she told me the price I gasped and said, "Jesus!" to which she replied, "Do you want it or not." Considering I never send anything through the mail, I thought this was the only way I could track the two packages, so I told her yes. I ended up paying close to $40 for the priority mail. I later found out USPS offers less expensive alternatives. She really needs to fired and it was just because I was on my lunch break and had wasted 25 minutes there waiting in line and then being serviced that I didn't file a complaint otherwise, I definitely would have. dont use USPS if you want your package to meet its final restoration. USPS said my package never left chicago. Package was supposed to get to destination last saturday and their not sure where its at? they told me that somebody will get back to me in 5 days, haha. What a joke.
