I see all the bad reviews here and these people haven't lived. Every time I go to this post office, and I have been for more than 25 years, they're consistently prompt and polite. I get in and out quickly. I've never had a bad experience. I'm from SoCal. Those are the laziest, nastiest most abusive postal workers I've ever encountered, although NJ probably tops them. I have no complaints about the Bellevue post office. People here are spoiled. read more

The old fucking fart at the counter was purposely and obviously exceptionally rude to me. I am a young girl and he made his obvious disdain and prejudice towards young people VERY apparent throughout our entire interaction. He greeted every other customer (all equally as prehistoric as he was) with such kindness. Telling them hello asking how they are then responding you're welcome when they thanked him for his assistance. When it was my turn I said hello because I was raised to be respectful to those who have roamed the earth for centuries. In response to my kind greeting he bellowed from his fossilized throat "get up here". He then proceeded to ignore me for the duration of the exchange and when I said thank you he responded with a cold stare from his slitted reptilian eyes! read more

My wife runs an ebay business. I'm the one who usually drops off the packages to mail. The window service is okay, IMO, but often I have to drop off packages after hours, and this is where I give the 2 stars. If the PO is open, it's no problem, I bypass the line in the office and drop the package into a container they use for this purpose, but after hours? The after hours drop off box is constantly jammed, and I mean a great deal of the time. Personally, I've seen it jammed over two DOZEN times, and this is incredibly unacceptable. I have to wonder how many tens of thousands of customers have driven to this PO over the years only to find out it was a waste of time. How much does that cost in wasted customer dollars? Obviously, this post office doesn't care about fixing the problem because this has been going on for years. read more

It appears that most reviews for this post office are from disgruntled customers which makes sense. Who's ever going to write a good review about a post office? I go in here occasionally when I have to mail a package and because it's my ZIP Code office. I was in today about two-ish to get a certified letter that I wasn't home for yesterday. No line, quick polite service, and there were three clerks behind the counter. I have been in there on passport days when there was a line because there was only one other clerk available and getting a passport takes a lot of time. Individually that's a once in ten years problem, but we all suffer when the place is short-staffed at those times. The post office at 46th and Charlotte is actually closer to me than this one, but I come here to mail a package as service is better and the place is nicer. When I need stamps, I buy them from the web site, so I seldom have to go to any post office. read more

MISSING MAIL. Sister mailed birthday cards in August with the correct address and they were returned to her 4 months later saying undeliverable. Mother in law sent Halloween cards that still have yet to be seen. And this is only the stuff I know of that is missing. I'm moving my P.O. Box to another location and hope this stops happening. read more

This USPS location is the most convenient for me. I'm also glad that they provide excellent level of service. For the most part, the location is clean and the service is quick. They have approximately 4 counters, but unfortunately they only open 2 counters at a time, so sometime the line can be long during lunch time - nope, they do this even before Covid arrived in Nashville. I hope they open all counters at least during lunch time. That will be helpful. read more

I've never felt so disrespected. I was making a return and had a QR code to scan, and was met with irritation and frustration from the workers there. Hadn't even set my box down on the counter before she said "That's UPS, we're USPS". But I had the QR code for USPS. I was able to make the return, I just walked away feeling upset. Very sad how this Postoffice has gone downhill. This used to be a great place with friendly, courteous service, now there's so many excuses and excess postage being charged. Yes, that's right excess postage. Go to Belle Meade!!!! I'm going to close my business P.O. Box that I've had for almost 30 years because they won't even check it for you if you forgot your key, saying it's 'your personal space' never did I have this before since COVID. Not sure if this locations management is telling the tellers to say this or they have no clue what's going on. I used to know every teller. Now the new group barely acknowledge you and acts like they're doing you a favor. It's just sad and wrong. I will be talking to management and see what's going on. read more

Used to be a wonderful Post Office with friendly, curteous employees. Now the new employee (hired by the new Manager) act like they are doing you a FAVOR to wait on you. The Manager should be replaced. read more

When I went in there was a line of about 7 people in front of me (mind you this is December 26th so the day after Christmas). However, the line went by extremely fast to where I don't even feel like I waited. I had just enough time to write out the address on my envelope and then it was my turn. I had to purchase a money order along with the shipment and the man at the register was extremely patient and helpful with that. I felt welcomed, unrushed, and overall had a very pleasant experience. I always dread going to USPS because that's never the case. This is literally my first time and it was during the holidays. I'll definitely stick to using this USPS for any future shipments needed. read more

I have been using this post office for just over a year. I typically use the self-service kiosks outside of business hours. Until recently, these kiosks have been temperamental at best. When they would print my postage stickers, there was a 90% chance of the stickers getting stuck in the machine. Once in a while, a swift kick would free the sticker. Sometimes the sticker would fall once I purchased my next one. Frequently, however, I was out whatever amount I paid for postage. What an unnecessary hassle. Recently, the machines were upgraded, and I haven't had the same problem since. On the rare occasion that I have gone inside to mail something, the line is typically very long, and there aren't enough employees working. The employees are friendly, however, and are quick to help me with whatever I need. read more

This post office continues to mark deliveries as completed several days before they actually take place. Additionally, the public servants at the post office, specially the office supervisor, is agressive, unprofessional and rude. Didn't redeliver my mail even though I filled an official request to have it redelivered the same evening that it was supposed to be received. Filed a complaint and finally was able to stop by in person. They only had 2 of my 4 packages and couldn't find the other 2! Incredibly rude "supervisor" Tonya Marlowe couldn't have cared less about my request for redelivery, they didn't even attempt it. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever seen. We keep getting other peoples mail in our box. Our mail gets lost (probably in someone else's box) books get folded to fit into the box. The manger is rude. I tried to use my Sears MasterCard and it was declined. The reason was because my mail had been returned so they thought I had moved. I have lived at this address since 1992. My mail was put in someone else's box and they wrote on it Not at this address) meaning it was put in the wrong box. The post office needs a new manager and an overhaul. If you really need it to get there use UPS. read more

Oh! How I wish the postal service were once again privatized! Let me begin by stating that I want to love this post office because I love my mailman. He is so friendly and kind to my children, always answering their curious mail questions and asking how they've been. It is also less than a mile from our home, which makes its locations extremely convenient. I can only imagine that the employees were either fired from Walmart or recently released from prison before they were hired by the USPS. There is no concept of customer service. If there is ever an issue that they do not want to handle their answer seems to be along these lines, "Too bad, so sad. That's your problem, Bub!" (I sort of have to laugh because there is one employee who has the exact personality as Garfield the cat. He is such a ray of sunshine.) The line is always out the door and slower than my granny. If the kiosks would only read ANY of my credit or debit cards and process media mail transactions I would happily use them every single time. But, alas! In December 2014, the manager at this location had the brilliant idea that all packages delivered to apartment complexes should not be delivered to the door during the holidays, like they normally are, but left in the apartment office. This left a delivery of live ants (for an ant farm we were giving our children for Christmas) as well as a big box of perishables from Harry & David that a family member sent as a gift locked in the office for 4 days because the office was closed for the holidays. Our mailman had to take the time to write up a notice with our apartment number, sender's information, time of delivery, and instructions on where the package was left. Then he had to walk to our apartment and place it in our mailbox - JUST to notify us that there was a package in the office. Seriously? That seems like a very poor use of time and resources! It would have been faster for him to leave our packages on our doorstep. (No, none of them needed to be signed for and no delivery confirmations either.) Our mailman agreed that it was a terrible policy and encouraged me to call in an effort to have it changed. (Did I mention that I love my mailman?) My recommendation: Avoid at all costs! read more

I have lived in a lot of places and have never experienced such terrible service as I do from the USPS Bellevue team-specifically the mail carrier that services the Hillmeade apartment complex. I cannot afford to pay for the mail locker at my apartment, and she refuses to leave packages on the counter (like UPS and Fedex couriers do). I've asked if I can sign a waiver so that she is not held responsible for the package if lost and was told that was not an option. She also refuses to leave a note in my mailbox saying I have a package being held at the post office-and as a result, I haven't gotten packages on multiple occassions. I've called the three different managers that have worked there during my two years dealing with this issue and they all just act like it's not their problem. My suggestion to whoever is in charge of that team: get a new manager who actually manages their people and not the other way around, holds them accountable, cares about your customer and tries to find ways to accommodate people so we can actually GET OUR MAIL. read more

Both me, and my neighbor at my apartment complex, have both had packages that the post office said they delivered, but never showed up. We've never had any issues with packages being stolen, so it's obvious it's the post office's mistake, even though they refuse to take responsibility for it. I've also gotten other people's mail on several occasions. Also, anytime I call in to the post office for any help with package tracking, or scheduling a pickup, customer service is very weak. They're very condescending and act as if you're an inconvenience to their day. I make it a point now to ALWAYS choose any option BUT USPS because they are most unreliable and unfriendly service, particularly when it comes to the Bellevue office here. Stay away! read more

I called because the post person has been returning my packages after I filled out a change of address form over a month ago. Lisa (the manager) was extremely rude! She yelled at me as if I were wrong because they are incompetent. I don't if the rude woman woke up on the wrong side of the bed but I have reported her and her horrible customer service. Trying to ship a large item and dealing with two staff members to get an estimate of much it may cost once again illustrated why the USPS is not competitive and keeps writing losses. Both individuals had the most abysmal customer service skills, refused to give me an estimate even though I had exact dimensions and weight and then topped it off by "guaranteeing me" that I would not get an estimate from UPS or FedEx. They wanted me "bring by" a 60 pound item so that they could weigh it and measure it. Of course UPS and FedEx gave me immediate estimates. I did call the Green Hills USPS station and they gave me an estimate along with the conclusion that they don't ship something with that dimension and weight. When will USPS be competitive? I called the manager who was a disastrous as his staff, never offering to at least re-train his staff. And, of course, there was no apology. I will take time to report this station to the USPS Customer Service office. I don't usually think privatization is a solution, but I am beginning to think otherwise about this institution. read more
