They are expensive but so is everyone else. They are close to my home also to save gas.

I think the extra 30 minutes of service is a game changer when you're in a bind. Extremely impressed with their stock of materials -- from bags, boxes, shipping tape, bubble wrap, gift cards and greeting cards. It's truly a one-stop shop. The not so good parts are: tight parking and very slow service.

I…read moremostly selected this particular branch because I hadn't tried it before and I've encountered too many poor people at the Lake Forest branch. Getting into the parking lot was already inconvenient: one has to drive down a driveway and make a U-turn into the opposite side of the divider. There was ample parking, so that wasn't much of an issue. However, at the doorway, there was a solicitor selling flowers. They didn't advertise it to me, but I was mentally on guard while I was outside. I managed to get a receipt for my shipment but when I wanted to put it into the dropoff slot, the one for big boxes did not open. I was forced to shove it into the outgoing slot for small letters, which I have received conflicting information about what to do for parcels that don't count as letters but can fit in the slot: shove them into the letter slot or use the parcel drop locker. Luckily this branch had no such complaints in the form of signs on the wall. The solicitor didn't talk to me on the way out. I suppose that's one benefit of wearing clothes that make me look unapproachable even if the tradeoff is that cashiers treat me worse if I'm forced to use a human cashier to pay. The parking lot layout was linear so I drove to the "exit only" to go onto Valencia. There were some blue mailboxes at this exit. However, someone drove into the exit to go into the parking lot. If I had been dropping off something in the blue mailbox I would have gotten hit. My car hit the street on the way out. This matter dropped my perception of the establishment below my minimum for 3 stars, so I'm dropping it to 2. The existence of this location seems like a requirement for there to be a post office in the city at most. At least Lake Forest has two parcel drop boxes inside and their parking lot isn't so bad that I have to drop a level for it, even if I have to deal with violin-playing solicitors.

I had a very frustrating experience at the USPS location on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest on Monday,…read moreDecember 21st. I came in with an extremely important letter that needed to be mailed to a PO Box, and I clearly told the clerk that I needed it to arrive as quickly as possible. The employee assisting me--a man with large ear plugs--told me that USPS was not doing 1-3 day shipping and that the earliest delivery would be Friday. I specifically asked if he was sure, given that it was a PO Box address, and he insisted that my best option would be to go to UPS or FedEx for faster delivery. Because of this advice, I spent extra time and gas driving to UPS--only to be told that the information I was given was completely incorrect. UPS informed me that all PO Box mail is ultimately handled by USPS, and that sending it through UPS would actually be more expensive, since USPS would still be the one delivering it. In other words, I was given flat-out misinformation that directly cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress, especially given how important this mailing was. I expect postal employees to understand basic USPS policies, particularly something as fundamental as PO Box delivery. This experience was disappointing and avoidable, and it reflects poorly on the level of training or care at this location. I hope management addresses this, because customers should be able to trust the information they're given--especially when it comes to time-sensitive mail.

When they closed that location down, we started coming to this location. The Laguna Niguel Post Office is so much better than the old Aliso location. The Laguna Niguel Post Office is located off of Alicia Parkway and Niguel Road. The parking lot is large, but can be crowded at times. Sometimes, people park against the gate due to a lack of parking spaces during busier times. The business itself is average in size. Sometimes the line extends past the P.O. boxes and it moves kind of slow. They typically have 2 people working at the front counter, but if the line is moving too slow, they'll bring out another representative to help speed things up. Customer service here is excellent! If the line slows down, the lady from the passport photo room will take customers into her office and assist them with their packages etc. They run a pretty tight ship here! I have been to several post offices in South OC and this one is my go-to location. They know all of their regular customers and it's refreshing to see that they remember your face when you come in. I've had plenty of great experiences here and I will continue to come to this location to mail packages etc.

I came in trying to locate a package that was dropped off at this location and never received by the carrier it was supposed to be handed off to. I had tracking proof showing the package was never scanned into the next carrier's system. Instead of even attempting to check the back or see if it may have been misplaced internally, I was immediately told that "UPS should have it" and that there was nothing they could do. As a business owner, I understand that mistakes and delays happen. But what was frustrating was the complete lack of effort or accountability. I wasn't expecting miracles; I was simply hoping someone would at least attempt to check or escalate the situation internally. The supervisor and another employee both seemed very nonchalant about the situation, even after I explained the urgency and showed proof that the package was never received by the next carrier. I left feeling completely dismissed rather than helped. I understand policies exist, but customer service still matters. A little effort, empathy, or willingness to investigate would have gone a long way.

Instead, I left frustrated and frankly disappointed by the level of service I received. The associate at the counter, Karen, was cold and unwelcoming from the moment I walked up. There was no smile, no greeting, and no effort to make the interaction pleasant. But beyond her demeanor, what really got to me was the lack of basic guidance. She never told me where to write the delivery address on my package -- something that takes two seconds to communicate and is a fundamental part of the job. As a result, I had to redo the labeling entirely, wasting both my time and my packaging. What makes it worse is that this kind of mistake is completely avoidable. A simple heads-up -- "make sure to write the address here" -- would have saved the hassle. Instead, I was left to figure it out on my own and then correct it under her watch, which was both inconvenient and embarrassing. Good customer service doesn't require going above and beyond -- it just requires the basics: a courteous attitude and clear communication. Today, I got neither. I'll be looking for an alternative location or courier going forward. Life is too short to spend it dreading a simple post office run. I'd strongly encourage management to revisit customer service training here, because first impressions -- and last impressions -- matter. Not recommended.

She didn't even stop and see if she caused any damages. She sped away. The parking lot has a lot of dead angles where people who shouldn't be driving come and go. Ahhh the beauty of Irvine shines through here quite brightly. It's not so much because of the poor service rendered by the actual postal workers that makes this location so terrible. It's the behaviors of the customers that causes a lot of delays and frustration. I am still experiencing secondhand embarrassment days later. Some are not the most prepared with their stuff before their turn. Like not having the address needed to send the package. As always, there's always someone who tries to haggle, complain about the prices, or try to get the whole transaction redone to switch to a cheaper no frills option. It's honestly astonishing to me how little concerns those expensive car driving people have for others once inside. Very low class and one of many reasons why I absolutely abhor Irvine area anything. Talking loudly on the phone and failing to realize it's their turn for example. Or trying to cut in line even though there's a long line of people. My goodness. I am just gonna stick with my neighborhood postal office. The amount of stress incurred by coming here is not worth it.
