D&D stamps. May not be at all USPS locations.
    Evelyn T.

I want to share with you a photo of the D&D stamps I bought. My best friend, who lives in Hawaii, said the Post Office has different varieties of stamps for sale. She suggested asking employees to see those ones instead of the default versions if interested. When I went, there was a display (somewhat akin to a small poster for lack of a more accurate description) of the unique stamps on the wall to the right of the USPS employee's station. The employee said they had run out of some of them and she showed me several sheets of stamps available. If you tend to take a long time making a decision, I suggest going early when there are few customers, or purchasing stamps through the USPS website. In my opinion, it would be better to not make any of the customers behind you, or the USPS employees impatient. Even though I don't play D&D, I bought these particular Forever Stamps because their artistry was compelling and they reminded me of the "Stranger Things" show. Some people don't use stamps so they may be apathetic about my review, but I use them from time to time when I mail birthday or thank you cards. Some may say Forever Stamps are a good value because they know when the cost of stamps rise, the Forever Stamps rise up to the same value. I felt like the employee helping me did a great job and I appreciate her being knowledgeable about the stamps the Mission Viejo USPS sold.

I'd like to get my mail... but closed again?! Hours say till 6? Does this have to do with the govt shut down?

When they closed that location down, we started coming to this location. The Laguna Niguel Post Office is so much better than the old Aliso location. The Laguna Niguel Post Office is located off of Alicia Parkway and Niguel Road. The parking lot is large, but can be crowded at times. Sometimes, people park against the gate due to a lack of parking spaces during busier times. The business itself is average in size. Sometimes the line extends past the P.O. boxes and it moves kind of slow. They typically have 2 people working at the front counter, but if the line is moving too slow, they'll bring out another representative to help speed things up. Customer service here is excellent! If the line slows down, the lady from the passport photo room will take customers into her office and assist them with their packages etc. They run a pretty tight ship here! I have been to several post offices in South OC and this one is my go-to location. They know all of their regular customers and it's refreshing to see that they remember your face when you come in. I've had plenty of great experiences here and I will continue to come to this location to mail packages etc.

I came in trying to locate a package that was dropped off at this location and never received by the carrier it was supposed to be handed off to. I had tracking proof showing the package was never scanned into the next carrier's system. Instead of even attempting to check the back or see if it may have been misplaced internally, I was immediately told that "UPS should have it" and that there was nothing they could do. As a business owner, I understand that mistakes and delays happen. But what was frustrating was the complete lack of effort or accountability. I wasn't expecting miracles; I was simply hoping someone would at least attempt to check or escalate the situation internally. The supervisor and another employee both seemed very nonchalant about the situation, even after I explained the urgency and showed proof that the package was never received by the next carrier. I left feeling completely dismissed rather than helped. I understand policies exist, but customer service still matters. A little effort, empathy, or willingness to investigate would have gone a long way.

I think the extra 30 minutes of service is a game changer when you're in a bind. Extremely impressed with their stock of materials -- from bags, boxes, shipping tape, bubble wrap, gift cards and greeting cards. It's truly a one-stop shop. The not so good parts are: tight parking and very slow service.

I…read moremostly selected this particular branch because I hadn't tried it before and I've encountered too many poor people at the Lake Forest branch. Getting into the parking lot was already inconvenient: one has to drive down a driveway and make a U-turn into the opposite side of the divider. There was ample parking, so that wasn't much of an issue. However, at the doorway, there was a solicitor selling flowers. They didn't advertise it to me, but I was mentally on guard while I was outside. I managed to get a receipt for my shipment but when I wanted to put it into the dropoff slot, the one for big boxes did not open. I was forced to shove it into the outgoing slot for small letters, which I have received conflicting information about what to do for parcels that don't count as letters but can fit in the slot: shove them into the letter slot or use the parcel drop locker. Luckily this branch had no such complaints in the form of signs on the wall. The solicitor didn't talk to me on the way out. I suppose that's one benefit of wearing clothes that make me look unapproachable even if the tradeoff is that cashiers treat me worse if I'm forced to use a human cashier to pay. The parking lot layout was linear so I drove to the "exit only" to go onto Valencia. There were some blue mailboxes at this exit. However, someone drove into the exit to go into the parking lot. If I had been dropping off something in the blue mailbox I would have gotten hit. My car hit the street on the way out. This matter dropped my perception of the establishment below my minimum for 3 stars, so I'm dropping it to 2. The existence of this location seems like a requirement for there to be a post office in the city at most. At least Lake Forest has two parcel drop boxes inside and their parking lot isn't so bad that I have to drop a level for it, even if I have to deal with violin-playing solicitors.

I came in with an extremely important letter that needed to be mailed to a PO Box, and I clearly told the clerk that I needed it to arrive as quickly as possible. The employee assisting me--a man with large ear plugs--told me that USPS was not doing 1-3 day shipping and that the earliest delivery would be Friday. I specifically asked if he was sure, given that it was a PO Box address, and he insisted that my best option would be to go to UPS or FedEx for faster delivery. Because of this advice, I spent extra time and gas driving to UPS--only to be told that the information I was given was completely incorrect. UPS informed me that all PO Box mail is ultimately handled by USPS, and that sending it through UPS would actually be more expensive, since USPS would still be the one delivering it. In other words, I was given flat-out misinformation that directly cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress, especially given how important this mailing was. I expect postal employees to understand basic USPS policies, particularly something as fundamental as PO Box delivery. This experience was disappointing and avoidable, and it reflects poorly on the level of training or care at this location. I hope management addresses this, because customers should be able to trust the information they're given--especially when it comes to time-sensitive mail.

Made an appointment for passport service at 9am, came here around 8:50am noticing that only one girl was working there. She seems to be friendly assisting all the customers on the mailing services. When I told her I had an appointment at 9am for passport service, she looked SHOCKED which made me feel like they have no idea about my appointment, the look on her face also assured me that there's no one in the office at this moment to help me. She asked me to sit and wait, but I left around 9:15am cause I know the staff for the passport service was not there yet. It's very disorganized, and not respective of customers' time. As I am writing this review, I've realized that this is not something new about USPS that is known for its inefficiency, let alone its customer service.
