I love the convenience of selling something on Facebook Marketplace, getting a pre-printed label for the package and simply dropping it off here. There is never a hassle. If you are nice to them, they are nice to you. I don't think I was always nice to them so I don't know when I decided to just not be such an ass but it has worked in my favor many, many times over. When I sent out my first wave of wedding invitations I asked Rosa (Who is usually at the last station at the far right) if she could hand cancel my invites because I didn't want them to get eaten by the machine and she did it! Pete (who got transferred to Miller Place) also helped me out with the invite situation. They've looked in the back for empty boxes for me to ship things and always go above and beyond to help me. This PO use to have one of those automated machines but it's gone now which sucks. I have to head over to Smithtown on 111 for that. It's a small PO but if you're just sending things out and picking up it works just fine!

In helping my 94 year old father mail cards, one was not meant for mail but to be hand delivered to his grandson. I had been there only an hour earlier and described the card in a yellow envelope and it's contents. She claimed it couldn't be found. She showed not one ounce of compassion and was rude. Never even said 'sorry' nothing can be done to retrieve it. A small town post office would have obliged I'm sure. I will make it a point to avoid this post office in the future.

Nathalie, is one of the wonderful people who works at St. James USPS, she is so kind and helpful and ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. This UPS store has been good about taking back Amazon packages. The process is pretty…read morestraightforward and simple. They do make it easy. My problem was with the clerk who helped me this morning. I hate to leave a negative review about her, but it is still bothering me. I returned two Amazon packages this morning. No problem with the actual return. In an addition to the clear plastic bags that the products were packaged in, I also had the brown paper bag that the Amazon packages were delivered to me in. There are no garbage pails inside the store so I left the brown paper bag on the counter and said to the clerk, "this is garbage, thank you" and I began walking out of the store. She called me back to the counter to tell me that there are garbage cans located in the shopping plaza outside the store and that I can throw it out there. I said, "Okay. I'm sorry. Thank you." It is not my fault that they don't have garbage pails located inside the store. The more I think about it, the more it bothers me. What is the big deal about throwing away the brown paper bag for me? I thought that was rude. I repeat, there are no garbage pails located inside the store for me to have thrown it away myself.
