All i can think is that i finally got my answer where the hard drive went, probably into some random mailbox they were never able to recover it from. My review of this post office is biased because I have seen the people at the desk be super rude to…read moreother customers but they love me! I'm always welcomed with a big "HEY ERICA!" If you are nice to them, they are nice to you. I don't think I was always nice to them so I don't know when I decided to just not be such an ass but it has worked in my favor many, many times over. When I sent out my first wave of wedding invitations I asked Rosa (Who is usually at the last station at the far right) if she could hand cancel my invites because I didn't want them to get eaten by the machine and she did it! Pete (who got transferred to Miller Place) also helped me out with the invite situation. They've looked in the back for empty boxes for me to ship things and always go above and beyond to help me. This PO use to have one of those automated machines but it's gone now which sucks. I have to head over to Smithtown on 111 for that. It's a small PO but if you're just sending things out and picking up it works just fine!

They try to their best to help you with what you need. This post office always open on time and someone is always at the counter. Now with that being said. In helping my 94 year old father mail cards, one was not meant for mail but to be hand delivered to his grandson. I had been there only an hour earlier and described the card in a yellow envelope and it's contents. She claimed it couldn't be found. She showed not one ounce of compassion and was rude. Never even said 'sorry' nothing can be done to retrieve it. A small town post office would have obliged I'm sure. I will make it a point to avoid this post office in the future.

Nathalie, is one of the wonderful people who works at St. James USPS, she is so kind and helpful and ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. I can't say enough regarding the high level of service I've gotten from any individual I've ever interacted with at this location. Anytime I get a package delivered, I'm emailed with a pickup notification. I show up, and the team has my package for me ready to go and they check my box for any snail mail. When I canceled my service with DirecTV, all I had to do was bring my unboxed equipment to this location. They scanned everything in and gave me a receipt. They handled all the boxing and shipping. Amazon returns are handled in a similar manner. Just bring the return in, scan the Amazon return authorization, and voila, you're done. The team here will handle packing & shipping if necessary. Another time I went on a trip with my family, and embarrassingly enough, we forgot one of our important bags. I called the team at the UPS store, had a family member bring the bag to the store, and the team got the bag to us at our destination the next day. Sure, it was expensive, but it was a good option to have versus having to go out and buy clothes for the duration of the trip. There's so much more they do here, and I for one am glad that they are at that location so close to my home. They are essentially an extension of my online business. The only bummer is that they don't really have Sunday hours, but that's just me nitpicking. I actually find it refreshing that there is a day that employees can spend with their families or focusing on things outside of work. I need to learn that myself!!
