I have known Anna for many years and I can safely say she is one of the warmest persons you will come across. Today, I came to her with an unconventional problem that I exacerbated by having a bad Internet connection that was not at all her fault. She could not have been nicer in going out of her way to help me. Anybody else would have given up but her outreach was inspirational. I clearly have a lot to learn from her as I confess I do not have much patience with people at times. Anna treats everybody with respect, dignity and transparency. There are persons who seem to become galvanized when they realize they can make somebody's day. The only reason United States Postal is still around is because of the dedication, discipline and generosity of kindness that is the embodiment of Anna's graceful personality. So i go to post office to address the issue and was told by a manager that they cant check tracking numbers, they cant check what package they have in Chicago, and pretty much nothing they can do. The lines are ridiculous and sometimes out the door. The operational aspect of this post office is also out of whack and creates unnecessary delays. The service is beyond terrible. There is not one staff member at this location that actually cares nor do they look like they enjoy their jobs. Most times there is not even a "hello" when you approach the window. There is also no drop off area for prepaid packages and they won't accept them at the window unless you wait in line, therefore you have to wait in line to hand over your PREPAID package. The only reason for the 2 stars is the pricing. Like I said, USPS is the best prices shipping provider and for a small business that's so important. Other than that, nothing good about this place.

It's come to the point where I would get Amazon packages sent to the locker at the 711 instead of to my address and risking it being sent through the post office and then having to go pick it up. One thing that is really not the post office fault is that there are a lot of people sending packages overseas so it's a bit more time consuming to process. I wish they would have express counter for package drop offs like UPS and Fedex has. Our building's security footage proves he was never around at the time of the incident, nor was any package ever left. I was also able to check with all of our neighbors and they didn't receive it either. So one way or another, this driver falsified a gps scan. Even before this incident, he has had a bad reputation of repeatedly losing our building's key (conveniently right around the same time mail goes "missing") and destroying our packages. Management here has been told about these issues time and time again. They don't give a damn. All that to say, I just received an email from USPS claiming they're now closing my missing package request. This happened earlier this year and now all of a sudden, they're refusing to even keep that open? I'm pissed. First they cover up this guys blatant felony, lie about sending a carrier to pick up this supposedly 'misdelivered' package and now I'm getting punished for exposing this?
