I usually avoid coming to this location, and today reminded me why. When I came in to drop off my package, the gentleman at the counter immediately told me to leave it on the desk. I always request a receipt, so I asked if he could print one. He seemed annoyed, made a dismissive sound, and reluctantly walked over to help. He then told me I should "conveniently" use the self-service machine next time. I explained that I feel more comfortable interacting with a live person, but he continued to be rude as we went back and forth. The interaction was extremely unprofessional and left me feeling very unwelcome. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if one of those " machines" he recommended replaced him. read more

I arrived about 11:30a on a Wednesday. Had to wait on street at driveway for about 4 minutes for a spot. Once inside only one customer ahead of me / 1 at mailboxes but lot was full. One window open. Hershey helped me and she was super nice and polite! I had to get a money order and a stamp neither of which I have bought in ages. Done in 2 minutes and out the door. Small parking lot with 5 spots and 1 handicapped space. There is street parking in front of PO green 30 min zone. Those spots were in full shade, parking lot spots in full sun. Mailbox/drop box out in parking lot next to sidewalk. Masks are required (to cover nose and mouth). The PO is hiring at this time. read more

Where do I even begin with the level of incompetence at this location? I paid to have a package intercepted and held while on vacation. I received an email stating that I needed to pick up my package at the wrong usps location. Once I called usps, a representative told me that my package was at this location. She even put a request in for a redelivery to my home address. I received an email confirmation that stated that the package should be delivered on June 7th. Not only does the system still show that my package is at THIS USPS location, I showed up earlier today to be told that they still can't find my package. Also, I tried going back at 5pm today to have them look a second time, but they had the doors closed because "their system went down" and they refused to try looking for the package again. It's EXTREMELY suspect that I've been consistently receiving a lack of motivation to find this package. Be careful with this location. They DO NOT CARE about customer service or doing their jobs. I get the sense that my package was stolen, and nobody wants to hold anyone accountable. Btw, my package is still showing that it's sitting at this location. I guess they don't seem to care that tampering with mail is a FELONY. read more

I use to visit this location more often before due to it was along my drive route to work. I take a different route to work now and I prefer the post office along my new drive route. This post office on Chevy Chase Drive is fine except that the earliest collection of the mail at the outside mailbox is 4 PM during the week and I prefer earlier collections. The post office itself inside is clean and orderly. A few free parking spaces at this location. read more

Haven't had problems here. Service is quick and courteous. Post office is close to home and I am happy to know I can depend on them.

I have to say that despite a line, this place has a great crew and great customer service. Always friendly, patient and engaging. I know USPS is underfunded (which is why the wealthy should pay more taxes) but I am a big supporter of USPS and thanks to the staff here I will continue to be. We had the worst experience at US post office. My grandma and I went to ship out a letter and found out the system was having issues. No big deal, it happens. However, the crew was being very unprofessional by taking personal calls and leaving the front. One of the workers also had given us attitude for asking questions and asking when the system was going to be back up. Clearly this staff needs to be more trained on customer service. read more

The quality of service at this USPS is honestly a one star or less if a no star was optional. Waited to be serviced by someone for 5min, no one was at the front counter. Other people and myself thought it was closed but it was barely going to be 5pm. Then when a worker finally came up, he did not greet, had an attitude and was rude. This Glendale Post Office is a DISASTER. A few years ago, I thought they were one of the better post offices in LA. My, how things have changed! I had an important package delivered to my PO Box. When I showed up to pick up all the contents inside my box, an employee tried to convince me that my package was returned to the sender months ago. She presented me with a million USPS labels as proof. I called the sender and they had to do an entire internal investigation within their company, only to find that the package was indeed never returned to them as claimed by Glendale Post Office. I then called Glendale Post Office to inform them there was never any record (no tracking) of this package being returned to the sender. That's when another employee said to me over the phone: "OH! SOMEONE LEFT YOUR PACKAGE ON THE SHELF. IT'S RIGHT HERE." No apology for wasting everyone's time. No explanation. Nothing. Glendale Post Office then promised they would (FINALLY) forward this package to my home address. What did they do instead? They sent it back to the company...something I NEVER asked them to do. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AT GLENDALE POST OFFICE?! WHY IS EVERYONE WORKING HERE SO BLOODY INCOMPETENT???!!! read more

This Post Office lacks period!!!!!!!! If you have ever been here they have no product in the lobby to prepare your package ahead causing for increased line, and the parking is very Limited so if you don't find a spot you pretty much A@# out unless you have a co-pilot to take over the wheel and drive around until you are done... I will say if you are dropping of letters with postage already affixed you can do the drive thru... Honestly the manager here needs to go to a few other Postal Locations maybe outside of Glendale to see how it's done.. read more

When they deliver signed packages they don't ring the doorbell or knock at your door they leave a failed to sign notice in your mailbox and never show up to the door. I was disappointed to see bad reviews about this place that I've been visiting for the past 2+ years. Every time I go in there, I get really good and cheerful service. I've had many different people at the counter, and they all move through the line quickly and have a nice demeanor when you get to them. While you're in line, they have a nice selection of cards. I usually just review restaurants but I LOVE THIS POST OFFICE! I used to live in Glendale but I live near downtown and STILL come back here for all my mailing needs. The lines are never long but more importantly the staff is absolutely amazing. Friendly and helpful every time. And not just one employee but all of them. I had Hershey today and they were so great. I've been here several times in the last few weeks because I've had to send money orders I've been helped by a few different people there was a young gentleman named Christian that helped me he was wonderful great attitude and super helpful unfortunately today I went in and was helped by an older lady by the name if Tammi she had a horrible attitude as soon as one guest left she started talking mess about them to other customers had a really bad attitude when I was helped by her she made the comment of wow the day just started it's only 9:30 can't wait for it to be over the epitome of I hate my job read more

The customer service at this location is just horrible and dreadful. Especially after the employees changed recently. The lady that was working here on 12/19/16 is so rude and like the other yelper mentioned, acts like she owns the place. Her attitude with every customer is horrible. If you hate your job, maybe you should just leave it. I came in today with my package all ready to go. It was being shipped Express and the value was over $2,000 so I asked her to scan my label and give me a receipt like I've done all the time with expensive packages. She said she couldn't give me a receipt. Please keep in mind there was no one else in line at the time I came in. This location gets busy and I get it if their packed, but the place was empty. I explained to her that for insurance purposes on items above $1000 value, I need a physical receipt that shows I actually did drop it off. She preferred to argue with me for 6 minutes instead of taking the 30 seconds it would have taken to scan the printed label and give me a receipt. Management should send a customer to this lady undercover to see why so many paying customers are unhappy. I went to the busiest post office in Glendale (Broadway) and I got my receipt. This place has to have a star removed just for the simple fact that there are not enough parking spaces!! There's like 6 spots in the lot for a fairly large post office...did the planners consider that? However, the line was short, moved quickly and the lady who assisted me was OH so nice! I had to return a purchase from Fry's.com (ugh!) and forgot to seal the package before I left home. She saved me from having to purchase new shipping tape by offering me some that another customer had gifted her...thanks lady! The gentleman was very nice. However , I walked in and they don't have any Stamps or money orders How can this be. They even have a sign "No Stamp No money order" that is like going into a candy store and they don't have candy. He apologized and said they have brought it up to management. I've never gotten bad service here as others mention and I have gotten into the PO with a couple minutest to spare before closing. Always a long line, regardless of time of day and there are only 4 parking spots so good luck with that lol. Thanks for all my packages! read more

So, I basically paid $3.95 for the USPS to lose important documents of mine. It was called "certified mail," so I foolishly thought I would get to track the documents online and that the recipient would sign the mailing upon receipt, but I was a foolish optimist. My documents were to be mailed from Glendale to Glendale. They were never delivered according to their own tracking system. The USPS, in fact, does not even know where my mailing is. So, yeah, I just paid the USPS to lose my important documents. By the way, if you ever want to speak with anyone on the phone, you can never get through at the post offices. They will pick up and hang up. If you call the 800- number on the receipts, you will have to wait for a minimum of 50 minutes just for someone to tell you they have no idea where your mailing is. I truly hope USPS is shut down asap and privately run businesses replace them. The USPS honestly cannot do a worse job. read more

Haven't been here yet, but they don't pick up their phone during work hours. Also, the delivery guy left a package note at my door (while I was home), so I signed it and placed it on the door for re-delivery, where it stood, sad and fluttering in the wind for five days to no avail. Now I'm trying to reach them so I can try to pick it up. I don't necessarily blame the staff for the poor service; I haven't met them, and it's possible that they're working really hard. Unfortunately the USPS has blown all of its assets, and is now even refusing to pay retiree benefits (for which tax-payers paid a giant portion, whether or not they utilized USPS services). The commercial delivery services are not much better, but perhaps they would be, were they not thwarted by this really-poorly organized government agency. read more

Yes, there CAN be long lines THATS WHY I RATED IT A 4 (cause it simply sucks to wait...ever) but this place is awesome. I live close by and always need to ship things so I look for Good service Good stock in their shipping materials How fast the line moves How clean it is If they're punctual at opening times And YES IN ALL OF THESE categories they score really high for me Never has something been delayed, not accepted, or they didn't have what I needed. Even when I forgot my own packaging tape they (usually don't do this) let me borrow theirs! There's is ways around the long lines, like COME early and before lunch... Despite past "less-than-favorable" reviews I've read on yelp about the Tropico station, I've actually found this post office to be one of the better stations in the area. I've been frequenting this location a lot lately to help me handle my online sales. The staff have been courteous, cheerful and helpful every time I come here. Lines are short, staff is able to help you find best prices and solutions for your shipping needs. And it is not as crowded as some of the other branches. So shoutout to my local post office. The line is out the door, 30+ people in line and only 1 postman (woman actually) behind the counter. Customers are calling the post office to no avail. The person behind the counter has asked her colleagues for help several times! They don't give a $hit!! Her colleagues stopped answering the phone in the back. You can see them walk by, but they won't come out front to help! This is why the Post Office is going down the tubes. The 2 Stars is because that poor lady at the counter doing all the work. She kept calm and helped each and every person in that line for the 1.5 hours I was there... and I'm sure the rest of the people behind me. read more

You're going to wait a while at this place. There is only one person working the counter and he is the worst. I forgot to look at his name tag but he was a black man. He is so horrible. He has a angry look on his face that screams "I accomplished nothing in life and I'm stuck here as a post office worker for the rest of my sorry life". He was very unhelpful and when I asked him why the price of my shipment was so high he replied 'take it or leave it' and told me to move over for the next customer. Zero customer service skills.
