This Post Office isn't the greatest. The lines are usually ridiculously long and they usually only have 1-2 workers working at any given time. I wish people would learn how to use the automated machine in the lobby to ship things....or buy stamps. I have had a few bad experiences with this Post Office as well as far as not delivering mail, delivering mail to the wrong address, and not picking up packages when pick ups were scheduled. I run a little eBay business out of my home and chose not to ship USPS but to ship FedEx instead because of all the mistakes USPS makes. read more

I have to post this review because I am so super frustrated that I have to say something to somebody or some thing. My Saturday mail was missing. How do I know? I have a service called INFORMED DELIVERY. I saw the letters that were to arrive. No mail. The same expected mail failed to appear yesterday or today. I call the post office today and Shawnee was in a meeting. A meeting about my mail? Unfortunately not. I was promised she would call back. She did not. I called again. Told me there was a sub-postal person because my regular is out. So? Aren't substitutes supposed to know how to read? The bottom line is that the sub told Shawnee they gave it to a neighbor who was supposed to give it to me. So now they deliver through a third party? She asked if they had-- NOPE! I insisted on getting the address where my mail was left. Was put on hold. The address was 10611 N. 106 Street. Unfortunately after driving around for over 20 minutes, it turns out that the address does not exist. I am beyond furious. With the price of mailing, this is the service we get??? BTW, a package that was due 3 days ago is still in transit. I realize that delays are occurring because of the corona virus, but leaving MY MAIL with a neighbor whom I don't know and doesn't exist is not acceptable. If there was a rating lower than one, I'd select it. Where do we start with this inefficient taxpayer money hole? First let me say there are a few good employees I've dealt with over the tears, three to be exact. However the counter service, communications and delivery is substandard to any postal services I've experienced in 50 years! There is no way you contact them by phone, after 15 or so rings you are disconnected! I submitted a COA card and it never was activated on the date I selected. How bout the speeding mail trucks, and blowing through stop signs?! If you've been in FH long enough you'll see it, this PO is just a mess and I don't know why for sure. This is in Fountain Hills where a ton of very old people live. USPS happens to be one of the busiest places in town because the elderly go there for everything. Instead of paying bills online they go to the USPS to mail payments. They don't stop there. They could easily put the payment in an envelope and drop it in a box but they all wait in line at the counter. There is a self service kiosk for creating labels and buying stamps. Despite this they get in a long line and go to the counter directly instead of the kiosk which would take 30-60 seconds. They are unable to do anything on their own so they only go to the counter to speak to someone directly even though it's 2021 and not needed. They are really a burden here. They are very needy and a drain on limited resources at this location. read more

Got a confirmation of that redelivery, but they did not deliver. Went online and again scheduled a redelivery. Yet again, got a confirmation of that, and yet again they did not deliver. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a post office in my entire life. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from a government agency, and that says a lot, in my entire life. All friends and family that I talk about my experiences to say that they have never experienced these type of problems that I am having with this post office and their mail carrier ""Alma"" in their entire lives. ""Fountain Hills"" post office is ran by supervisors, they do not have a postmaster. My theory is that there's a bad apple in the post office which is causing the environment to be negative. Unfortunately it's the consumer, myself who suffers the most. I believe they really need somebody to go in there and clean up their customer service and make sure that there are occasions and exceptions where their carriers and workers can go above and beyond. I pay taxes, my friends and family pay taxes, it's going into Alma's family's mouth in the form of food. Since I moved in on September 1st of 2018 I have had nothing but problems. My mail carrier tells her post office supervisors lies to get out of delivering my mail, and taking responsibility for her delivering errors. She is highly vindictive, lazy, and is a liar. No matter how many complaints I make, this post office will always say that they have been resolved which they have not. More lies from more employees from this post office. The complaint I make are calls out for these people to listen that this carrier is personally attacking me. I have never confronted this postal worker. That's why I have over 20 complaints filed already since I've moved in. waiting on hold for over an hour, then it takes time to file the complaint. why would I go through all of that waiting time if I did not feel that this was serious. If she does not want to deliver my mail to me, then she should choose another route. I called this post office today and spoke with Don, he's a new worker there and was trained in a bad way to give horrible customer service. I asked why registered mail was not delivered to my door today and a slip was found in my mailbox when I was home. He told me that the supervisors at that post office allows my mail carrier to not bring my registered mail to my door because I'm confrontational. This is a lie. I have never confronted this woman nor do I want to, her actions prove that she is a nasty person. I don't want to ever try to communicate with somebody that closed off, and narrow-minded. Why would I call the post office to speak to a supervisor if I'm confronting the carrier. Why would I continuously make complaints if I was confronting the mail carrier. What proof do you have. You have none because there is none. I have a camera and their shows no interaction between me and Alma ever. the last time I saw this woman was when I was leaving for school, because I'm a full-time student and I really don't have time for this, and I asked her how many packages I have. She said many. So I went back up to my door and opened it to receive my packages. When I noticed they were all sitting in front of my door which is not where I asked her to put them, I told her thank you as she was walking down my stairs. I don't find that to be confrontational I find that to be friendly. If telling Alma to have a good day is confrontational than I wouldn't dare tell her to have a bad day. This post office needs to shape up, I have spoken with Bobby, Sue, Jason all managers and supervisors that have bad attitudes and false promises. I've contacted consumer affairs three times. I spoke with Kristen today and she told me that a manager by the name of Hoffman was going to call me and she never did. Not surprising. With my records the first complaint was November 16th CA-140438681 most recent is today CA-142171873. These people are liars and give horrible customer service. It's a shame that we customers who employ these people cannot choose which post office we get our mail from. It's also a shame that when complaints last for months, nothing is ever done about it. read more

I love going to this post office, the employees are always nice and courteous. Coming from California this post office is amazing. I'm use to 1-2 hour lines around Christmas and this post office the longest I have ever waited is around 5-10 minutes. I will definitely continue to use this post office. read more

We had an issue with a package that was delivered to an address within this post office's area of delivery, my boss asked me to call this post office for help. We are based in Los Angeles, so I couldn't just walk in. This isn't the first time I've called a post office for help with delivery issues, but I can't remember the last time I came across one as helpful and friendly as this one. The gentleman who helped me on the phone was 'Will'. There was no 'attitude', no coming across as being hassled by taking my call, just a genuinely nice human being helping to resolve a problem for a shipper. I submitted a temporary forward which expired on Jan. 7, 2019. After three days I had received no mail. On Jan. 10th I called and talked to a Bob who checked and told me the carrier was not aware that the forward had expired. When asked who was responsible for him not being aware he would not tell me! When pressed for an answer he hung up on me. I called back and when he answered and I asked who screwed up, he asked how much I paid for the forwarding service as if that mattered. He never told me who was responsible. After 60 years of dealing with USPS at numerous addresses in the US, the only problems I have had is with the Fountain Hills location. Fountain Hills has the worst managed post office we have ever experienced. Our neighbors and I constantly receive each other's mail and if our pkg delivery won't fit in our mailbox mailman refuses to just leave the paper mail in the mailbox and put the package on our doorstep and he just takes all of the mail and pkg back to the post office!!! because he doesn't want to walk down our driveway. We tell the supervisor but he is very rude and unprofessional. I WISH we could opt out of USPS and choose to only use FedEx and UPS...they are awesome!!! read more

I had a package delivered to this PO while RVing. I went to the package window and rang the bell. After a 5 minute wait two other people came up and asked if I rang the bell. They went on to say you have to ring it many,many times. After 10 minutes a guy came to the door and I told him what I wanted. He was gone for 2 minutes and said it was not there. I can't believe all of the negative comments about the customer service. We just moved here from MN and I could list a ton of complaints about our PO back there. I was not getting my mail, only my husband and mine was being returned to sender. I called and talked with Steve, he was not only the most pleasant and personable, but he actually went to talk with the carrier, is going to find out why this is happening and correct and even call me back. one of the best -- if you never lived in a big city where they dont answer your calls or hang up on you when you call asking about information on a package then this is the place. I have called a couple of times every know and then to confirm packages they have them and either deliver next day or will come and you can go and pick up. The people at the FH post office are unreal - I have no idea what they are getting paid to do, but it certainly isn't to help people. They just stand around talking with one another, biding their time until the PO closes. You have 3 people at the counter with no customers and 2 customers waiting in line. Do the math. Why are there 2 people standing in line while the 3 people getting paid are shooting the bull with one another? The one exception is what appears to be the sole guy of the group - he's at least friendly. I don't think he works much though, because it is rare to see anyone but the same 3 girls who are gossipy and ignore customers until they are through chatting with one another. If you go to this PO, be prepared to wait. Bring a bag lunch, something to read, and maybe a pillow. In addition, this post office has a drop box, which is awesome because you can skip the long lines and rude customer service people. However, they lock it when the PO is closed and sometimes even when the PO is open. Seriously? Why do you both having a package drop box if you don't actually want people to use it? I know the stereotype concerning how much the PO enjoys wasting money, but really? Who's brilliant ideas was it to spend money on a feature that is not actually usable to the customers except at the whim of some mysterious person with a key? Don't make people guess as to whether it is actually something they can use - keep it unlocked or get rid of it. Bottom line - I've always had great service in other cities (even Scottsdale!!), so I know this is a local problem. The USPS offers an amazing service, getting mail all over the world for an affordable price. Hard to want to pay any price though when the local representatives are so awful. Take your business to the USPS desk in the card store by the fountain. At least they keep the lines moving and aren't obnoxious. read more

Extremely rude and incompetent. I can't even count the times I have to keep going in there to ask then to scan our packages correctly! Most items we send out and pay for are sent back to us. They keep telling us oops someone scanned wrong. This place needs retraining, or people fired. Learn to do your job right! Recently moved here from Los Angeles. I'm wondering why I don't get my mail delivered until after 6pm? And I'm wondering where most of my forwarded mail is. I am getting former owner's mail without any indication the USPS has read his change of address info. Got an email from a friend that her mail to me was returned for reason unclear. This post office is shameful. Our courier, Alma, makes her own rules, lies, and even steals our mail! Thats right, I said "STEALS". My husband and I just came back from vacation and Alma took it upon herself to go inside our mail box and throw away all our mail! Of course she did not even leave a note in our box, I had to ask her myself and she said my mail was pulled out and thrown away because there was too much! I also paid $20 to use my apartment complex's parcel pending mail box. Today is the 2nd time she has not delivered my package to the parcel pending box because Alma claims that I have not paid for the service!! i spoke with my leasing office today and they confirmed she had come earlier with our package and Alma did not even ask if we had paid or not she just decided on her own to take our package back to the post office. the funny thing is that she has delivered to our parcel pending box before, but since we went on vacation she now thinks that we never paid to use the service! Wonderful Employee! Finally, On top of stealing my personal mail out of my personal mailbox and not delivering my packages after I pay extra for a service so also provided me with some false information! When I moved in Alma told me I had to sign up for the parcel pending service because she is too lazy to deliver packages to resident's doorsteps! She doesn't want to have to go up stairs so she tells residents she will return their packages back to the sender if we do not pay for the parcel pending service. She also told me that if I pay for the service I get my money back when I move out... I just spoke with the leasing office at my apartment and they say that is completely false!!! She is lying to residents, stealing, and threatening to send packages back if we do not sign up for a service.
