This is by far the absolute worst post office I've ever had to deal with personally. As an employee…read moreof USPS (definitely not this office) I'm very disgusted. I've placed my mail on hold multiple consecutive times for the mail to be delivered after I've literally said I would come pick the mail up. I ask to speak with management they're always so busy that I cannot speak with them. I've left specific instructions to contact me and they (carrier and t-6) go do the opposite. Calling is pointless as they don't answer the phone. Clerks are too busy gossiping with one another instead of being helpful. There's only one clerk that was professional and did everything he could to assist me. It seems that this office from management on down lack structure, awareness and the basic skills to complete small tasks. It wouldn't hurt to revamp everything and re-train for the lack there of. I know if I delivered someone's hold mail after they requested it to be on hold there would be disciplinary for failure to follow instructions but in this office no one seems to care because it's not affecting them. It's disappointing.

I frequent the post office a lot! I recognized the ladies that work at this downtown branch and I would imagine they at least recognize me, however you're not going to get your friendly bartender experience at a post office. This particular branch has some lovely architecture and you will rarely walk in and not have to wait in line to mail something. I've never had an attendant be rude to me, although I can't say I've ever had one be charming either. These ladies (I don't think many males work at this branch...) are just doing a job, day after day, and from the way they act I'd think they can't wait to retire. But, since going to the post office is a practical event, let me tell you that parking at this location is limited to street only although it's time limited and not meter paid. Also, see my tip about four extra secret spots!

It can get backed up pretty quickly but at least it opens at an appropriate time. Other offices locally are opening at 930? Seriously? I want may tax dollars back. That's just laziness. 930, just in time for the average person to be at work and not able to go. Way to serve the community who pays your salaries. Anyways, this one opens at 830. Good on them for it too. If this one isn't too far out of your way, give it a shot. Parking is a little whacky and it is small, but I'd say this is probably the best post office in the general area.

I asked to speak with the manager and she said, "I am the boss" and hung up. When tried calling back, it immediately hung up so that indicated she was screening my calls. I went back recently during a week day (reluctantly) and I assume it was the same person I talked to the previous time.
