Fret not, VC post office is here at your rescue. From 8:00am-4:30pm M-F, the office is open with full service, clerks and everything! Sorry, nobody's here on Saturday or Sunday. The lobby is open for PO Box access 24 hrs. a day (except Sunday). If you want that letter to Uncle Jasper picked up today, the last collection is 4:30pm (Saturday at 9:30am). It's a strange departure from all the buildings in this town. Too modern for my taste. But it is a business facility, not a touristy one. Personnel are great and it's incredibly convenient. Unfortunately, just like Silver City, they do not process US Passport applications or renewals. What I did was walk in and buy a book of stamps. Overall the US Postal service has kept their prices as low as possible in today's economy. It seems the only people who give 1 star reviews is one bad experience, and they never give it another try. Once in a blue moon one thing may go wrong and only those instances in my opinion are documented and reported here on Yelp. I am thankful they did me a favor of bringing my UPS package to the UPS when I accidentally dropped it off to this location. The only bad experience I ever had here is the teller refusing to give me tape to close my box because she said they sell some on the shelf. That made them lose the 1 star I would've gave to make this a 4 star review. It may be policy to refuse offering tape to a customer, but when they know it is a reasonable request to ask for complimentary 8 inches of tape on a 20 foot role, that's not too much to ask. They would be a 5 star review if they did that, and also answered their phones when you need to call them.

This plaza is located at the southwest corner of US Route 395 and Topsy Lane, just past Clear Creek Plaza and the Carson City limit. It is technically in Douglas County, but has a Carson City postal address, as it is served by that post office. It has two entrances on US Route 395, one entrance on Topsy Lane, and a back entrance on Vista Grande Boulevard (by Costco). It is also right next to Clear Creek Plaza to the north, on Topsy Lane. This shopping center has a variety of useful and somewhat higher-end stores than the neighboring Clear Creek Plaza.
