I have seen some of the reviews for this location and I'm shocked by it. I have never experienced anything but good service, sometimes especially during the Christmas Holidays there is a wait time but that's to be expected. If you have the means and opportunity to use literally any other service please do! They are downright horrible. Staff inside could not care less. If something is out for delivery it's maybe a 50/50 shot it will actually get delivered. They do the upmost bare minimum and sometimes not even that. 1 star is honestly way more than they deserve. Half of the things we order that come thru Memphis never arrive and we have to try to get our money back. If it goes thru Little Rock no problem it will be here but not Memphis I am not sure if they check the mail and keep the items or just throw it all away. It just never leaves Memphis at all or if it does it will go to Mississippi before it goes back to Memphis then to Arkansas. I wish I could give zero stars. I wish I didn't have to go to this post office. Went in to pick up a package after I got a notice my mailbox was full--it was a large box. And there was no attempt to leave at my door? Clerks are racist. I was the first in line when the door opened. The next day. Was sent immediately to a vacant desk. Meanwhile, several others (of the same race as the clerks) picked up packages with no problems--I was the only one in there in my race, let alone I was the only man there. It wasn't until I raised my concern (15 minutes later) that my package was given to me, but only after they made it evident that I was the problem. Internal investigation needs to be done. Worse experience ever!!!! I went in after receiving a note on my door because I missed the mail from the IRS the day before. I went in and said "Hello, I'm wanting to pick up mail that I missed yesterday I received this in the mail saying I could pick it up her today" and before I could even finish the lady cut me off saying, "I can't help you with that on your phone so don't show me again. I already told you that." So I let her know that was the first time I had ever been in there and she had never even seen me before. This lady was rude to everyone in front of me as well. This USPS is trash. I've lived all over the US and these postal workers are thieves. My boxes consistently come open and missing items. They lie about delivery attempts and their tracking apps don't match the actual status of the package. I had items stolen from a box and resealed by this location just to deliver less than 10% of my order. Then they have the nerve to update status saying delivered. So I have an online business that ships constantly. So I use a lot of flat rate boxes and envelopes. This post office not only takes 3-5 days to scan a package after you give it to them but now I guess has decided their job would be easier if they just don't put the flat rate envelopes or boxes out.... I mean if we can't get the boxes then we can't ship and it makes their job way easier. I mean I guess not working at all Is about the only thing easier than total incompetence but this post office manages to exceed in only this one manner. The post master general should be ashamed at the joke that they've allowed a once great institution to become. Consideration of firing every worker and starting over should be heavily considered instead of adding more funding. Gross negligence is the only thing to be said about this particular post office. I am disappointed in how my claim for lost or stolen mail was handled at this post office. I mailed a first class card containing a gift card (lesson learned) FROM INSIDE THE POST OFFICE ON A SUNDAY on 12/20/20 - thinking it was safer than putting it in an outside dropbox. It was never received by the recipient. I filed a missing mail claim both online and over the phone and asked that someone return my call. Both numbers assigned to my claims were marked as "resolved" online, but no one ever returned my call, so I went back up to the PO. The supervisor or manager was very rude. I was asking her questions about what I could do next to find the mail and I was being very respectful. She never made eye contact and shoved a piece of paper towards me that told me that I could file another complaint with the US Postal Inspection Service. That is incorrect. That is only for insured mail. She also told me to call the Germantown PO to see if they had it in "held mail." I did call that PO, talked to someone who said she would check and call me back, and that didn't happen either. That was a week ago. Please do not mail anything of value through the Cordova PO without insuring it or obtaining a tracking number. Losing mail is one thing. Theft is another. And they don't seem to care much about either. I will go out of my way to never use this PO again. If anyone from the Cordova PO ever reads these reviews (doubtful), you should question your employees. Another card I sent the same day that went out of state arrived just fine. This post office is the worst! It seems as if the Carriers are incompetent and clearly doesn't know how to do their job, even though they must pass a test to even be considered for employment. My packages are ALWAYS lost and it takes months to get those lost packages back to me. This last time really pissed me the fuck off!!!!!!! Ok, so the package arrived on time at the Cordova location 38016 around 5:13 am.. cool, great! I live in the 38016 zip code so I'm assuming my package would be out for delivery as stated as the "estimated delivery date" Why was my package transferred to BARTLETT at 6:14 am???????? and sat there 2 days then transferred to Memphis Network Distribution Center! if it arrived at 38016 and I live in 38016 which one of those incompetent mf transferred my package to Bartlett?? I called Bartlett post office and they were just as puzzled as I was.... Just fired everybody at the Cordova Post office and start over! Oh then my carrier is ALWAYS putting my neighbors mail in my mailbox...! Smh as much as I am delivering mail next door I need to be on payroll.... I contacted the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General (OIG) Hotline and received an email about 15 min later stating my issue was going to be handled by the U.S. Postal Service Consumer and Industry Contact Office. I have been having issues with receiving checks in my mail at this office for over two years now. I get bills but when someone sends me a check in the mail it mysteriously disappears and they want to blame it on another distribution center in Memphis even if I get an email. This is the worst postal service I ever encountered. I called them 3 times this week to verify my address so they could deliver my package to the right address. I've talked to 3 different people each day. I even asked if I could come up there & claim my package they wouldn't let me do that. So the last so call intelligent person I talk to over the phone asked for my number to call me back when they find my package to put out for delivery & I'm finding out today 3/27 that they returned my package back. Amazon package "delivered" by USPS never received after being notified by the USPS informed delivery service it was delivered. Went to the local post office on Macon in Cordova and was told after waiting over 20 minutes for help that the package was addressed to the wrong address. I have been with Amazon for over 10 years and never had a package addressed with the wrong address. The issue with the postal service is that unlike Amazon they don't take a picture to show where the package was delivered so they can just say it was delivered. I am still waiting on packages from the last week of November. I went 2 whole weeks without receiving any mail. My MLGW bill arrived a week late in the mail. Today is January 18th 2021 and I have 2 packages that have been sitting there for 3 day's according to the tracking and my updates on my packages and now they are closed due to MLK Day. I was told they had arrived. Really? Then, where are they?
