My father got a text that the package arrived but I was home and checked and checked the cameras and no box! My father called and they said "To save time the drivers load up all the boxes and send out all the texts before they leave and it should be there later today." Well that was yesterday and guess what.. STILL NO BOX 1. That's dumb and not how those texts should work 2. My dad then called the main office and they said "We don't do that" So, either the driver lost the box, dropped it off at the wrong address, or stole the package himself. Either way someone is lying. When he called today they claimed "It says here you were sent a text it was delivered so it's delivered and to file a claim online" Seriously? read more

Avoid this post office if you can. Slowest post office I've ever used. Has nothing to do with COVID or the customers. USPS can do better.

I requested a new lock on mail box as I just had moved in to my new home. 2 says later received call to advise new keys were ready for pick up. Great!! But wait no. I tried new key and didnt fit. Guess what? The old key fit? They made me waste my time in requesting the lock changed and p/u new keys when they never changed the lock to begin with. What the hwck is that about. I guess I should be glad I got the old keys at closing. Otherwise I would SOL with my mail. Nice going Converse USPS!!! read more

I guess job security isn't a worry here, considering the next post office is almost 10-12 miles away. If it were, then maybe they would be more courteous...and they wouldn't fear putting an automated postal system in the lobby. Because they don't have one, coming to this location after 5 o'clock is pretty much useless. And please believe me when I say they're locking you out at 4:59:59. Also, don't expect them to open promptly at 8 o'clock either. More like 8:05. And take their sweet time getting ready until about 8:10. With service like this, I understand why the Postal Service is losing money. Who wants to deal with a bunch of blue hairs and their attitudes; never mind the tardiness. Think I'm going UPS from now on...let's see what Brown can do for me. read more

So missed a registered letter today due to no one being home. Funny thing is I was home in my living room didn't hear a knock at the door nor my door bell. But I wasn't home. The only reason I know I missed it was I'm tracking said letter. Got a text saying missed delivery no one home. Ok so then I proceed to call the Post Office get redirected to an operator line rings and hangs up on me multiple times. Call the 1800 number wait for talking to anyone over an hour. I went on Schaefer rd, Converse, TX today at about 10 am to mail a regular 9" x 12" letter. After waiting in a line and the a/c wasn't very cool at all, the white female clerk said that I'd have to send the 9" x 12" letter as a parcel and pay a higher price than first-class mail. Now, what she probably didn't know at that time is that I've been sending letters in that same kind of envelope for years first class and never have been told before that it has to be sent as a parcel. She made me rewrite the address on the back, in order to send it as a first-class letter, claiming that if I wrote the address horizontally instead of vertically, then I could send it first-class. Then after all of that delay, and having to watch several other customers come and go without any hassle after my turn had come, the white female clerk told me to go to the second clerk who wasn't busy by the time that I had rewritten the address on the back of the letter. So I stepped over to the other clerk, and the white female clerk said to the second clerk that she had told me to rewrite the address on the back of the letter envelope so that it could be sent first class instead of as a parcel. The second clerk who was a Mexican female looked at the white female clerk with a puzzled expression. The second clerk then told me that I should not have to go through all of that delay because the letter fit into the first class measurement in both directions, as she measured the letter. I expressed to her that in all the years I've sent letters in that same size envelope none of the other postal clerks had ever said to me, what that white female clerk had just said. The second clerk charged me first class and I was finally able to go on about my way. I believe the white female clerk doesn't treat minority customers fairly because I did notice that she was taking a longer time with some of the other minorities before me, as well-though not as long as she had taken with me. read more

The line was out the door . This is the only post office open on Saturdays & till 1230 In the afternoon . Only thing I didn't like was there wasn't a lot of air going in and out . I felt like we were in this big bubble of a line. It was hot and humid. Due to the pandemic need more air moving around the building and waiting area . I was helped by jen . Currently was picking up a key for my new home . Jen was most helpful. read more

The mail carrier let the mail crate/bucket sit uncovered in the pouring rain while she ever so slowly sorted the mail into the community mail boxes. My important legal documents are soaked. I can only assume she would not have a problem if she received her mail this way. DO BETTER! read more

Why does the postman or postwoman always mix up he mails , sending mails to wrong mailboxes???

I was online looking for the hours of operations and I saw all the negative reviews. Unfortunately, I don't think we post enough when business actually do well. My experience was the exact opposite of others. I got here a few months ago and the line was long, due to social distancing. But the line went fast! I attempted to be self sufficient online and change my address when I arrived to Texas, however my first rental fell through so I changed it three times which caused a mess in their system. When I went in a lady working with another customer heard was going on, let me know she knew exactly what to do and helped me as soon as her customer left. Also, I was told my mailbox key would take 3-4 weeks to get... ugh... but nope it was done in 1 week. My Mail-lady was extremely friendly when she called and notified me. I've been in a few times since and the line has been short and all the employees at the front desk have been very friendly and professional. Good luck in the upcoming Holiday months. read more

The last at of letter writing and package sending would be well worth reviving for the opportunity to mail them through the USPS office in Converse, Texas. The service is exceptional, regardless of how busy it is, how rude other customers have been. The clerks always greet tut warmly and never lose their cool. They are helpful and answer all questions honestly and reassuringly. read more

One day my key stopped working, I have three so if none of them are working it seemed like the lock had been changed. Since they never answer the phone EVER, I went there in person. A female lady called the "mail carrier" took my number down and said there might be a package blocking it. No one ever called so I put a letter to the Post Master in their outgoing mail. I get a call to come to the "Dutch door" and ring the door bell so they can take my keys and figure out what's going on. My husband goes there and of course no one is comes to the door. We are on week 3 and my husband was told by the Customer Service Rep. we were basically been given the run around! read more

I had a certified letter that was ACCIDENTLY sent to this post office. That was only the beginning. when I attempted to track my letter it had no tracking to be found. So it was unclear to me if this is where it was or if it was lost etc.. so I called them and called them with no answer no matter the time of day that id try to call. I physically had to go to the office location just to see if it was even there the lady went to the back for what felt like two seconds and then said no it was not there. I ended up reporting it lost through the USPS Web site. Couple days later I receive the note that said it was my final notice to pick up my letter! Mind you I had never received any notices before. This is the worst most understaffed post office. The lines are forever long. Today, the line is out the door, and there are 2, yes just 2 people working. And one of them is working passport appointments as well as regular mail. HERE is the problem.... the people who go here wait till they get to the counter to write out their envelopes/stuff their boxes take care of their business, and that of course slows things down. In other post offices. if you don't have your stuff together and ready to go, they let you know to get it handled and then get back in line. NOT here, they simply let you muddle thru it at the counter. The post office employees need to stand up for themselves and the other people in line and tell them exactly what the SIGNS say about having your items ready and complete when you step up to the counter. Its impossible to get stamps or mail a package on my break or lunch break because this post office is so slow. read more
