Donna seems very angry, always. Three years ago, I went to her counter to buy a special stamp for a card. I put the stamp on the card, and she took the card and put it somewhere behind her desk. I didn't see where she put it. I said, "I can take the card to the mail bin for you." She said, "No, I will mail it from here." The way she said that and looked at me, I knew that card would never make it. Needless to say, that card never arrived. It was a Mother's Day card. To this day, I try to time my place in line to NOT have her help me. She is always barely one step above being rude. Never conversational, never friendly, just someone many of us try to avoid. I've tried being conversational, complimenting her. Nope, nope, nope. Once when I was there, a black girl came to the front of the line to ask her a question, and Donna stopped everything to gab with her about her braids, her outfit, her purse. Then I understood. Many of us know who "Donna" is, like we all knew who "Dean" was...for very different reasons! Wish we could bring Dean back from retirement. read more

It's very difficult to get a one star review from me but the post office in Colleyville has earned it. Passport facilitator ( I think name is Donna or similar name that ended with an a, she is in the office to right of service desk) is rude, unprofessional, intentionally aggressive, and disrespectful to customers. There are other places to get your passport done, would recommend ANYTHING other then going to this location. Recommend removing this employee from any position the interfaces with a customer. May be best suited to sort mail or any other solitary activity. After looking at yelp, I see I'm not the only person that's complained about this employee, shame on management or oversight committee that allows his treatment to customers to continue over the years. Great and friendly attitude from Michelle. I came in 10 minutes before 6 PM CT when this USPS location should be closing. And I have to send an International package. She was kind and not giving me any indications that I was bothering her at the last minutes of her shift. She was even patiently explaining everything and double-checked my form. She even joked with me for sending shirts to my dear friend in Switzerland. And she didn't forget the magic question.... if I need any stamps. Michelle, thank you! Visited recently to apply for passports. PROS -got helped relatively quickly -there's FedEX nearby so if you're missing anything like photocopies of stuff, it can be taken care of there and the lady that helped us was very cordial and allowed us time to do that CONS -none to mention during this visit. I will say though. The lady that helped us was speaking extremely quickly. I would too if she has so much on her docket to go through but this is more like a heads-up to others. If you have trouble understanding English spoken very fast, then just be aware that'll happen. Also PSA to customers, you don't need to chit-chat. Just get your business done and move along. Unless you're literally the only customer. I read a lot of other horror reviews for this site. In my experience, people write reviews if they've had a terrible experience or an exceptional one. I write no matter what. But I don't dismiss each person's experience so hopefully USPS here also takes note. read more

I went to get my passport photo taken and the person at the office next to the service desk was pissing me off the entire time. When I went to get my picture taken, she kept telling the my head was off 2 degrees to the right. I mean just take the fucking picture already lady. I know someone who looks at passport pictures and he told me that they're not looking for someone's heads off 1 inch to the right. I was absolutely appalled when I stopped at this USPS today. The lady's working the desk was disrespectful and rude to EVERY person that she dealt with. If I had to go to her it would have been a scene. No one deserves to be treated that way. You work customer service do better!! And since when do they not sell you stamps at the counter. Hate to have to write this review but after my visit there on May 18th, I cannot permit what happened to slide by. Only one employee was working and as soon as I entered the building, she made it known that she was angry, harried and in no mood to show any patience. As we stood in the line she designed, standing according to her exact instructions, she immediately began loudly exclaiming that she was the only one working that day and she continued to shout out even when not one person breathed a word about having to wait. When it became my turn, I attempted to be extra congenial to help lower the negative atmosphere she had established, but she continued to speak as if we were all recalcitrant children who were there to exasperate her. When I attempted to clarify my understanding that my overnight mailing would, indeed, reach its destination the next day, she stopped writing up the order, stared at me and said as pointed as possible, "Isn't that what I told you?" As my package contained Covid tests desperately needed for family members who had come down with the virus, I simply replied that I was only trying to be certain. At that point another person came in and joined the line and upon seeing them she exclaimed loudly, "Oh, god..". She rattled off instructions at warp speed but rather than ask her to slow down so I could actually understand what she was saying, I stayed silent just wanting to get out of there! As I was paying, a gentleman arrived and announced that he had an appointment for a passport and asked out loud where should he go/whom should he see. Her reply? "Your appointment begins when I say it does." I literally took my receipt and walked as quickly as I could to the door not wanting to witness what surely would be a scene between the two. I have heard so many stories like mine involving this incredibly rude woman who works at this PO. I get that they are understaffed but that has zero to do with the customers and everything to do with the management. This woman has no business working with people. And yes, the gentlemen who work there are always courteous and helpful so kudos to them. However, as there is no guarantee they will be on duty on any given day, I would suggest taking your business elsewhere and save yourself the stress of having to deal with this woman who so obviously hates her job and takes it out on innocent customers. read more

Colleyville post office is actually quite fantastic! The service at this location has always been great, the cleanliness has been exceptional, and they are consistently developing new systems for customers to ensure efficient and speedy service (which is always a plus at a place like this). The post by Chris K was thorough, so I won't go into too many details here, but this is definitely my favorite post office in the d/fw area. Haven't seen a better one to date! Another fabulous experience at Colleyville Post Office. Arrived at 5:53pm (a full seven minutes before closing.) The postal worker was already engaging in a very negative convo with the person in front of me who was defending herself explaining her packages were all ready to go. The postal worker grumbled to herself and walked over and drew the divider closed in front of me proclaiming everyone needed to be on the inside of that. I looked at her is dismay as I am now on the wrong side of the magic divider. She gave me a disgusted look and asked me what I needed. I said I just was dropping off stamped letters. She said just give then to me and I hastily exited before the next person carrying packages entered. I can only imagine how he may have been berated. This was actually a slightly positive experience compared to other days. At least she didn't yell at me today. If you ever wanted the Soup Nazi Seinfeld experience, Colleyville Post Office has you covered. May the odds be ever in your favor! A side note. The gentleman who has been there many years is awesome! A package mailed on 12/6 was checked in as received, but not delivered. It was then returned to the sender and was marked as undeliverable. The sender called to ask what is going on in colleyville. He mailed it again and I gpot the package yesterday 2/11. The package was clearly marked and readable. I wonder what other mailed has not been delivered. read more

This post office is the worst! They are understaffed and their website does not reflect their actual business hours. I set up an appointment for a passport two months ago for 8am. This was a critical appointment as I am due to travel internationally in a couple of months. I got to the location today and not only was nobody there, but they also do not open until 9am! This is inexcusable and embarrassing. It took me 45 mins to drive 12 miles to get to this location for no reason! I recommend avoiding this place at all cost! read more

I was there to get my daughter's passport renewal. It was 11:20 am, Norma the rudest employee in there, came screaming and telling us the she was done for the day!!!! Really?? I went there at 10 am to get my passport papers processed. There is a sign up sheet on the desk next to the door so for those who need to come in later it would be best if you came in when they opened to write your name in one of the time slots, so they know you intend to have your application processed. Fortunately for me there was no one else in line. The lady was quick and was nice. EDIT: 8/14/17 I just received my passport! I made an appointment months in advance for a passport. I walked in, sat down and shortly after, I was pointed at from a distance and yelled at to come to the front of the line to be asked what I was needing to be there for. I told the rude lady it was for a passport and that I had an appointment. She rudely asked me questions while rolling her eyes, she yelled at me and embarrassed me in-front of the whole room of people that were waiting. She told me to go have a seat. I went to sit down and she told everyone that she was sorry she was short staffed so to bare with her. Everyone is short staffed right now, but to yell at me in front of everyone for simply walking in for my scheduled appointment is not necessary. If you hate your job so much, then quit. I will never return to this place because of that awful and racist woman at the desk. Treat people with respect, you are no different from anyone else. I had a scheduled appointment but I would rather wait another month for somewhere else that makes time for their scheduled appointments and treats everyone kindly. The Colleyville Post Office has always been great. Now, the USPS has added a new service for PO Box holders which is so brilliant one wonders why they did not think of it sooner. If you have a PO Box, and your post office participates, you may now use the street address of the post office and your box number as your address. A short form is required and you need to fill out TWO change of address forms if you discontinue the box (one for the street address, one for the PO Box) but that is the only catch. Big deal you say? Sure is...there's more! They will also now accept most UPS and FedEx shipments to your street/PO address and all signature mail which does not require personal contact (i.e. you still have to personally sign for certified and return receipt, but not for simple acknowledgement of delivery). The post office will place your mail in your box if it is big enough or in a package locker if too big for your box, or hold behind the counter if too big for a package locker. Genius. Why didn't they think of this before? Ever had your pack and mail company go out of business with your mail locked in the landlord's property? Ever had UPS show up at your door while you were on vacation? Those worries are now gone if your USPS office provides this service. But wait...there's more! There is also a service where you can have the postal service automated equipment text or e-mail you if mail arrives in your PO Box. Now this particular service is not guaranteed and relies on the readability of your incoming mail address on the automated equipment, but it's better than what you have today. If your post office offers this service, your street address would be 12345 Any Street #0000 (where 0000 is your PO Box number - you MAY NOT use Suite, Apt., Unit - must be #) and the city, state and zip. Check it out. The most creative idea out of the postal service since old Ben Franklin created it! read more

Post office is understaffed. There is one clerk who is always nice and very helpful. He does the best he can with the long lines that always form here. There is another clerk who is extremely hostile towards customers, and this attitude is baffling. Not sure where this is coming from, but it is unhelpful, unproductive and unfair to customers. All postal service clerks should be at least polite to customers. We can see that there are not enough employees here, we know we have to wait in line for service. We have questions about the services, but we come to the PO to conduct business. Please treat us with respect. When treated in this manner, we simply go elsewhere. read more

I went there to go renew my passport. I wish we would have read these reviews before we went, because we had the WORST SERVICE EVER. The lady (could not get her name because name tag was backwards) who attempted to help us had a nasty attitude and was beyond rude. She obviously does not enjoy her job because she has poor customer communication and skills, and sent us in and out of the office 4 times and we waited 3 hours which could have been prevented if she would have gave us the proper information . That was just downright ridiculous. She is incompetent and does not know how to do her job efficiently. The Colleyville post office has the best staff & provide the best customer care. The staff is very friendly & helpful. That said; it is their job to see that mail is handled properly. It is NOT their job to put your package together & provide free supplies. If I don't have the right box, envelopes, or tape I purchase what I need before I get there or buy them @ the PO. If I don't know the best mail service I need; certified, custom labels, etc I'll do as much as possible prior to my arrival. But I will also have plain addressed labels (even if it's written on a piece of paper that I can either tape or copy the info onto 1 of their forms. Sometimes I also have to step out of line, but they usually ask me to let them know when I've got the pkg ready to go, let them know & after they are finished w/their current customer they'll take care of me next. It's not their fault if it's your lunchtime or if you're running late, don't have it ready to mail, or if someone came to the counter unprepared, they have to spend time explaining. And sometimes that customer is elderly or has some disability- would want them to be rude or disrespectful to the customer? And yes, sometimes they're a little slower than you want, but they do want to make sure Your Mail leaves their post office packaged & addressed correctly. I don't think you'll find very many mistakes made by those behind the counter! If you don't want to go to the counter, then use the automated machine. But beware, there are many customers using the mail slots for packages - there are other customers that don't give a flip about what you have to mail. They will cram pkgs into the bin regardless of how big they. I've seen customers do this when there's a line behind them. They Don't Care if they leave the slots unavailable for anyone else. However if I see you attempting such, I will speak up - even if it means they have to go to the counter, come back or repackage into a acceptable size that meets the slots limitations. And oh just so you know there are plenty of trash slots, cans, etc for you to dispose of your trash! I personally want the facility to look nice, and gave clean countertops to place my pkgs on, prepare to mail, etc w/o your trash. There's no excuse to not clean up after yourself! Articles thrown or left on the floor present safety issues. Put the blame where it belongs - on yourself. Believe me it's not an easy job to be behind that counter! I have personally seen each one of them handle very difficult customers w/patience, etc. I have seen Dean do this numerous times but he has always maintained a smile along w/a friendly demeanor. Be prepared, courteous, smile & remember to say Thank You. Without them, your package just may not get where you want it to go! You do have choices - handle your mailing needs online, turn it over to your spouse or an employee & you can avoid the post office completely! I won't miss you when I'm there! read more

I love this post office! This was the post office I always went to cause it was kind of on my way to high school and a lot of my friends houses ... but as time went on and I was more on another end of town I ended up not coming to this post office. Fast forward, now I work in Colleyville and this post office is the most convenient location. The area is really nice and doesn't have an old worn out feeling that many post office's have because many buy or lease older buildings or have been there that long and have not been well maintained. This location is very maintained, and they have been here at least 8 years. The staff is always really nice and helpful as well. I've noticed that if you come in regularly enough they learn your name and get to know you based on interactions of employees and patrons which is an improvement over what is tough of as the grumpy/disgruntled postal employee stereotype. This location has spoiled me and I wonder why I ever stopped coming over to this one ... it maybe a little out of my way when I'm not going or coming from work but I think I'll keep coming to this one even if its on a non work day. read more

Do NOT use this post office! Or any USPS. I mailed a package and was given an expected date of delivery on the receipt and a verbal confirmation from the clerk. Package never delivered and tracking number never updated. When I inquired with Colleyville Post Office, was then told I had chosen standard shipping and there was no guarantee it would ever be shipped. Only if they ever had time available, would they work on standard rate packages. Could not even promise it would occur in this year. Why is this information not posted and why do you offer services for delivery and take my money to pay for that service which you now claim will never occur? No help, uncaring and acted as if my fault for misunderstanding the expected delivery date to actually occur. Stay away for this place and find a different company for shipping if you value your package. read more

When I have gone into the post office to use the automated system, they have told me they are more than happy to help me in the actual line. They have no idea about the requirements to be able to track packages; they will not even consider allowing pick-up of a package in lieu of signature-required delivery when you won't be available; and we have literally had to walk the neighborhood a few times to find our own mail and deliver the mail we received for someone else. The core folks who work here are the nicest, most patient people ever. There are some new faces so I can't speak about all of them but overall...wow. A few suggestions for them (1) play soft music or something...waiting in line with it being so so quiet, hearing every utterance of the customers being served, is uncomfortable... the silence is deafening. (2) they used to have an older gentleman who worked approach customers in line to ask what they were wanting to do today at the USPS. He tried to offer alternative ways so that customers didn't have to wait in line (self-serve options, etc.) Great idea, in theory. Problem was if u didn't take his suggestion and instead told him "thanks but I'll just wait my turn for the clerk to assist me" it was tantamount to ripping the dentures right out of his mouth and stealing his supply of Depends.
