The woman working the counter at 2:15 on Tuesday, December 9 was quite rude. Two stars for doing her job and receiving the package but only two stars for doing the bare minimum. She spoke incredibly fast and strung together sentences into one word, but spoke slowly enough to understand to the man before me. When I misheard her and responded incorrectly, she repeated what she said but gave me a stare. And when given the option for how I want my receipt on the screen, she did not wait for me to choose (all but two seconds) before she chose for me and printed the receipt. The whole time her demeanor was cold. Federal employees are supposed to treat everybody equally not preferentially, particularly with customers. Some people are hard of hearing and need words enunciated. And options are meant to be options, not opportunities to deny agency to customers. read more

Postal carrier hasn't picked up mail in box at street for 6 days. Literally watched carrier drive by the mail box yesterday and didn't stop to pick up mail which had been in the box for 5 days! Complaints to local post office which told me they would tell him to pick up mail didn't resolve it. Local post office when called today 10+ times never answered the phone. read more

When mailing a package, the receipt they give you you cannot read it. The ink is so light and on the right half. There's no ink at all so you cannot read the tracking number. The reason I gave my experience a one star is on February 11th, I made an appointment for a passport photo. I asked the guy if people can smile for the passport photo, and the guy told me no, which is a lie. After all, by now he must know the answer is yes. I found out later that there are specifications of what is and is not allowed. He knew I didn't like the photo, as I wasted my $15 on this hideous piece of paper. In fact, a family member asked if he had done something to distort it. (LOL) My father even said a stranger would question if that photo was me (that was a relief). read more

This post office is not handicapped accessible. Two sets of heavy doors make getting in with a walker or wheelchair almost impossible. If I pickup a package I have to use my lower back to open the doors. I have seen elderly people waiting outside for another customer to let them in. Totally unacceptable. read more

I am not too happy with their service. I had got a product delivered. And from what the postmaster said the key to the item was put in a wrong PO Box therefore someone else had received my product. The company would not re-issue me a new sweat outfit saying that it was scanned in and received in Clearlake. The postmaster expressed to me to get a hold of the company and tell them that I did not receive it. So therefore I am out of my money in the product. When in all reality it was a mistake on one of their employees. But they have led me to believe for more than 30 days that it was never received. Until I continued to go there once a week. My husband and I went months ago to renew our passports and have new photos taken. Today we received not our passports but a letter stating our photos taken are unclear and unusable. I tried calling the post office to set up an appointment to take them over again and got into the phone skew from hell. No way to talk to a live person. Now we have to drive to clearlake and stand in line again to get an appointment and start all over again. To say I am disappointed and angry is an understatement. read more

Unfortunately, I've had to use this post office for the past several years to conduct business and personal matters. This review is based on hundreds of interactions, not all have been bad, lately they've been better. However, many have been worse than bad, horrendous. I'm left feeling abused, lied to, and mistreated by red-eyed employees acting arrogantly while obviously hung-over and/or on drugs...beginning with the manager, who I've seen at least 10 times utterly humiliate and berate customers who have valid issues about disservice or lack of service. Putting it politely, someone should give him a lesson in personal hygiene as well as on the meaning of the 2 words, customer service...like,"How not to be rude and hateful and defensive." The depth and detail of incompetency and failure would take many pages to convey. Distribution of mail for the many box holders is unpredictable, often delayed because of lack of staff, often inaccurate because of basic incompetency in sorting, and on several occasions, not even happening. The counter service is unpredictable, depending on the mood and clerk...some days, great, have a nice day, say the same thing over and over...other days, who's the boss? where's the boss? does anyone know what's going on around here? I'm told to call the 800 number where the wait for service is over 75 minutes, every time...that's one hour and 15 minutes to talk to a person. In addition to having my postal matters botched regularly, paying customers can expect to be insulted, misled and put off. To give an example, I had an important part ordered for a computer and was under a time frame to complete work. Tracking showed the item was delivered, yet the post office couldn't find it. Ok, that's one thing, but in the process of trying to get help finding it, I was treated with arrogance, impatience, and rudeness. I was told to call the 800#, I was told things that were not true, and that I should check back, which I did nearly every day for a couple weeks. Ultimately my package appeared for pickup with a footprint impressed on it. My fragile computer item had been stepped on and who knows how long it was on the post office floor. No apology or concern, the clerk kind of laughed and shrugged it off. Some clerks are friendly and seem to be overworked to cover for those who are too stoned or indifferent to pull their weight. Because it's the post office, all of us pay for the failings. Hopefully this review will help bring some attention and improvements. read more

Today I made a trip to this post office to renew my sons passport. Everything was excellent because of the ladies at the front desk. All was smooth until we had to take passport photos of my son. My son was carrying his tablet in his hand while taking the photos. Since he's a child, he would move around a little, swaying himself. On accident, he would lightly scrape the tablet on the wall but nothing disruptive. At this moment, a older man who wears glasses and has a brown skin color walks out of his office very aggressively towards my son and starts scolding him to stop making noise. I as well as the employee with me were in shock as to why he would do that. He's a 5 year old child! He had no place in acting that way towards my child let alone any other child to step foot in that facility. I would hate for this to happen to other children. What I don't understand is that when we went into the office, this man was on the phone speaking inappropriately, and loud causing more of a ruckus than when I walked in. He also had the door open. Out of anger and frustration after my son took his pictures, I approached the man and I wanted to close the door because of. him being so disruptive. He then started to scream at me to not do that and he also pointed his finger at me telling me to "You better watch your kid," so I told him to watch his mouth around kids that aren't his and to be nicer with children. The nice employee that was with me that is in charge of passports, was very kind to me and apologized for what happened. This man does NOT belong in a workplace around children and should leave this. post office immediately. If children were an issue in the. office, why aren't there signs up saying that children are to not enter? You can ask the employee helping, my son was nowhere near being disruptive. These people are outright thief's and steal from old people. Ups delivered hair growth products to my sister that I sent to her who is 70 years old. Ups has exact tracking right up to their door and GPS on them and a camera on their truck showing them going in. It has a signature on it from a post office employee who signed for it on UPS electronic device. No getting out of this. Yet they tell her no such package ever arrived. I sent her a large Chewy box of cat food. Fedex was tracked into the building obtaining an electronic signature from an employee. Cameras on their truck showing so. Yet hey say no such thing happened. So we will see about that. My sister is poor and has very little and family sends her help when we can afford it. She has a contract with them to accept her packages when she cannot get here right away as her neighborhood isnt the best neighborhood for leaving packages. Both company's have filed a complaint with the postmaster general and I am filing mine in the morning as it cost money to replace these items no matter who has to do it! If this has happened to you report it. Because this is dishonest. I have never heard of post people being thiefs, usually mostly you trust them. These I do not! read more

Absolutely by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered at ANY post office. I have lived in multiple cities and states. I have never felt so disrespected by a postal employee EVER. Sadly it is not just one, nearly everyone there has an attitude or seems like you are bothering them when you call or have an issue.
