We go in to see if they can help track them down and guess what not once have they been able to recover even one of my packages. Try to make the insurance claim they make you go online and if they actually approve the claim that you make your waiting months and countless phone calls to get paid. Slow doesn't describe the service you get. Why have a tracking system when you wont follow it? Just another government scam.

The woman just charged me for the stamps and then handed me a roll of Christmas Forever stamps (this was in February) without telling me first they ran out of other styles. Because she had already rung it up, I walked out of there grimacing with my ugly Christmas Forever stamps. Oh well - I needed the postage. They get the job done though.

This post office location is fine, but it's easy to tell it's old and has been run down and in…read moredisrepair for many years. There are never more than 1-2 people working, so the lines can get long, and you may have to wait a prolonged time even for something that should be extremely quick and simple. They don't have anything you can use, including pens, so be sure to come completely prepared with everything you will need for your transaction. (I will add they have let me borrow a pen before, but I had to wait in line to be able to ask for it, then I had to step out of line to use it, and then wait through line again to perform my transaction and return the pen - though it took me only seconds to write what I needed, they would not allow me to do it at the desk.) They do not have any pens at the counters, and I have noticed recently they do not leave out anything - no certified mail items, no packaging items, etc. You have to wait through line and ask for everything. Because I work downtown I have visited this post office many times, but it's definitely not my favorite location in the city. That said, if you need to do something at the post office, you'll be able to do it here.

To save a few steps (and to be in the right spot) make sure you go to the second lot. The exterior felt quite industical, and the post office sign had a very retro vibe, like it had lived in Louisville for awhile. Inside, may feel a bit dated in certain spots, but their are gift cards, greeting cards, and plenty of packaging options to choose from. Plus, a passport sation for our convenience.
