The exterior felt quite industical, and the post office sign had a very retro vibe, like it had lived in Louisville for awhile. Someone should clean that thing, because I swear, it is feeling historic. Inside, may feel a bit dated in certain spots, but their are gift cards, greeting cards, and plenty of packaging options to choose from. Plus, a passport sation for our convenience. We have frequented this post office for the past 15 years. Employees are generally friendly and…read morehelpful. Yesterday, I stopped by to pick up a passport renewal form. While I was there, I asked a young lady if I could make an appointment for my wife to come in and renew her passport. The young lady stated the postal employees do not set up appointments, you have to go on line and make an appointment. The young lady even wrote down the web site for me. I made it very clear this was a renewal, not a new passport. I know she understood, because she quoted me the renewal price. We wanted to get this done as soon as possible so IF we decide to travel in the Fall, she would have it. Yesterday afternoon my wife navigated the USPS website (with a little frustration) and scheduled the first appointment available which was today, late afternoon. We wanted a morning appointment but none showed available. Today we ran some errands and had to kill three hours waiting for her appointment time. Upon entering the post office this afternoon, my wife stated she had an appointment for a passport renewal. The VERY person I spoke with yesterday, then told my wife; "You don't need an appointment for a renewal". She went on to hand me an envelope and told me to fill it out while she leaned against the counter and watched me. We were charged $15 for taking the passport photo. The postage was $6.70 for a total of $21.70 due the post office.

I had a great experience at the Crittenden Drive location in Louisville. I went there to see about…read moregetting a replacement for my misplaced passport card. It was super busy but the employees had everything under control. There were several customers for whom English was a second language who sometimes struggled to communicate. There was a woman with a rambunctious child there for services. The staff helped each of us with the same friendliness and respect. I very much appreciated the kindness and patience exhibited toward marginalized community members from a government facility. A woman named Becky, I believe, waited on me. She was efficient and informative. I didn't expect to be able to actually get my picture for my passport card taken an application submitted today, but once she realized I had brought proper documentation, Becky let me know I had time to fill out the papers and get it done before the 3pm cut off time. The process was quick and very organized. It was all women working as far as I could see and these ladies had it together! They had positive attitudes with all of the customers and with one another. They gave the impression that they enjoyed their jobs. I will definitely go back to this location when I need USPS services again.
